    I was at the snow game against the pats in ‘73 where he ran for 200+ yds the 2nd to last game of the yr. Without that game he might not have gone for 2000 the next week

    My first was also Joe Namath and the Jets at War Memorial. It might have actually been this game. I was extremely young and only remember one thing from the experience - we were close to the field, not sure if it was warmups - I remember it was muddy, and my Dad earnestly said something to the effect "Look over there, that's Joe Namath. Remember that you saw him, he's very famous"

    One wonders if the NFL had sent a stronger message against (literal) head hunting in the Gronk case if it would have had any effect tonight. Probably not, but the post-game angst and outrage by the talking heads against plays that to me don't even compare to what he did is kind of crazy to me

    I am at least glad someone asked the question. Doesn't seem like there was much coverage if any in local media calling out the hit or the (lack of) players reaction to it. This is one time when I would have welcomed an attacking, name-calling screed from Sullivan

    So when an OLineman is frustrated for being held for the 20th time, and decides to take it out on Brady's knee - it is perfectly acceptable because you know - emotional game and spur of the moment
