  1. Injuries aside, who they keep will be based on how players perform in 6 regular season games - you can't get a better indicator than that. Hoecht is a lock to return to the team after suspension, but Ogunjobi to me isn't as clear cut. Would they keep him over someone who is playing well in real games based just on what he showed in TC/preseason.
  2. You mean he didn't need to put Matlock and Magnum PI on the case? 😛
  3. Not sure if he has actual inside info, but Cam Wolfe just said on NFLN that the Bills "did have early conversations with Von and they are still interested in bringing him back. Bosa deal probably decreases the chances a little bit, but if Von is willing to come back at a lower number they have not ruled it out"
  4. From the thread - Rapp may have competition 😛 "He friendly fired on a few reps last year and I think that was his downfall here. I kinda liked his play before that but the last staff’s guys are almost gone"
  5. I was like OK this time I'll play and try to find Waldo - then immediately see Bosa near the top and I'm like Oh Cool - then I saw it was Nick 😛
  6. The multiple moves Beane made to acquire picks and move up to get in position to get Josh before and during that draft was a masterclass
  7. They fired the previous in anticipation of this move :p. They only need 10 more staff for this one player
  8. Daryl Dimes?
  9. Feel like this guy is going to become a fan favorite. Aside from potential on the field - comes off very down to earth, and the 'local' connection - can tell he really has a fondness to the area he was born and where his family is.
  10. I'll see that and raise Dockery/Walker 😛
  11. Wonder if Josh will be able to afford her fee
  12. And Otis Day and the Knights to play Shout, and Jack White to play Seven Nation Army, and Baha Men, and Chumbawamaba, and ...
  13. I would be fine with just getting rid of kickoffs altogether and just spot the ball at the 20 every time
  14. They should have an 'old school'/museum bathroom at the new stadium with urinal troughs/sinks 😛 The Good - 51-3 - simply the greatest feeling/atmosphere I've ever experienced at any sporting event (or in life?). By halftime was just a big surreal party in the stands "We're going to the Super Bowl!!!" - 2nd to last game 1973 - OJ ran for over 200 yds in a snowstorm - without that game he doesn't break 2000 the next week. I was 9 yrs old - my neighborhood friend had an extra ticket and my brother and I flipped a coin on who would go and I won - Of all the games I've been to I will always remember the AFCCG against Denver in 1992 being the loudest - my brother and I were sitting low EZ and I remember trying to scream at the top of my lungs to talk to him sitting next to me and it was impossible - just crazy - '90 game against Dolphins where fans tore down goalpost and passed a section up to Wilson's box. I remember also seeing fans throwing sections of post over the sides of the stadium and thinking "that seems dangerous" 😛 . Crazy - '81 comeback vs. Patriots. 2nd half fans were streaming out of the stadium and I told my brother "We're not leaving - it's going to be an Alcoa Fantastic Finish!" People remember the Hail Mary Hooks caught to win, but the catch he made down the middle on the last drive was the greatest sports play I've ever witnessed live - I was in the EZ behind the play and Fergy launches the ball to seeming nowhere, and out of nowhere Hooks just flies into view and lays out with one of the greatest catches I've ever seen - just unbelievable The Bad - Cleveland 6-3 - simply the worst sporting experience (life experience?) I've ever had. Freezing cold, historically bad crappy game/teams, crappy seats high in corner of upper deck. We came up from NC and day before the game found out my young son had gotten swine flu but he still wanted to go - he still has PTSD from this game - One thing of note though from this game is something that would go in the Good (Best) list. As we were sitting there freezing and miserable and questioning our life choices, this guy comes running down the aisle full speed and right at my row - trips - and goes flying like superman parallel to the stairs for what seemed like 20 rows. Dude flies gloriously through the air like a drunk fan superhero, crashes at the bottom - pops up like nothing happened and disappears into the tunnel. Probably the most amazing thing I've ever seen - my son and I still talk about it - Jax playoff game '96 - the shock, and sadness, and Kelly getting carted off. Walking out of the stadium you just felt it wasn't just the season that was over, but an era The Ugly? - Told this story before - one time as a young lad we were walking up out from the EZ after another loss and we pass a lone guy splayed out on the benches with both his legs over the bench in front, and arms wide behind him, head back, semi-conscious - with his dick out, pissing all over himself. The exact tone of disappointment and my Dad's voice is still seared into my brain "Move along, son" - we never spoke of it after
  15. I was also there - one random thing I will always remember is there were a couple girls in front of us who kept saying "I'm just here for the Clash!" and we were like 'OK'. It still comes up sometimes with my buddy
  16. "All that matters is the Super Bowl! Any people deriving any happiness from an undefeated regular season are loser fans!"
  17. I agree on Rousseau and said in another thread people seem to forget he was drafted primarily to be the Mahomes-stopper - with his length and athleticism he was drafted to be the guy to chase Mahomes and actually bring him down. That hasn't happened in the playoffs
  18. One of the refreshing things to come from this SB is some of the ridiculous Mahomes hyperbole has cooled a bit. For so long the acceptance that 'Mahomes is the greatest most infallable player in the universe' has been so sacrosant no talking head would dare say otherwise. It's nice to see him being treated a little differently now. I do think the Hurts admiration has gone a little over the top this week - but that's what the media loves to do is take something and then multiply it by 1000
  19. I said in the gameday thread - honestly just competently and fairly spotting the ball to not influence the game is a huge deal normally taken for granted
  20. I've always considered 4 straight SBs to be one of those unbreakable records. Will be interesting to see how Chiefs season goes next year
  21. Foxworth had a good line on Get Up this AM about Chiefs aura being impacted by this game "We started to get to a point where we thought of this team as magical and invincible - you know what beats magic? Physicality." All the AFC teams will be looking at this game saying we should be doing that - we can do that too.
