Didn't realize this - and I was going to complain they should have more than 5 'protected'. To me it's stupid to not have more protected spots (and not make them permanent) In These Uncertain Times. What is the downside for ownership - having to potentially pay a few more veteran salaries?

As long as they ban train horms I'm fine with it. On a serious note - I actually like what the NHL has done with the crowd noise for playoffs. Part of it I think is they are being skilled in how they are executing it - a lot of the time I forget that it's fake.

Yeah the "year w/ no games" was sarcasm (though honestly I won't be surprised if they don't make it through the full season). People seem to forget the Bengals was just where they got caught - zero doubt they've been taping other games all along. In a normal corporate environment they would have been thrown out a long time ago - and blacklisted for the scum they are.
