i remember one game within the last couple years - think it was a playoff game - there were some snowballs being thrown around and the sideline reporters were breathlessly reporting "THEY'RE THROWING ICEBALLLS!!!!!😱" like the end of the world was coming. OMG - yeah I guess they are technically made of ice crystals. I've never seen more hysterical overreaction to anything in my life

I don't read it like that - some guys even say outright "We know Patrick is the best QB, but..."

It still bugs me though that he and some other talking heads are so careful to qualify "I said player, not QB" - there being some kind of perceived blasphemy to not auto-crown the almighty Patrick. F that - there's no doubt Josh is a better QB than Mahomes at this point

I'd be perfectly fine to have an international division - like old nfl Europe but just pretend they are actually in the NFL. Let them schlep all over the world instead of the American teams. And give them a single playoff spot so they can come over to the US and get destroyed annually

Have been looking for some first-hand accounts from people who were there. What was the general vibe in the lot then stadium - was there still a lot of snow in the stands where you were? Someone mentioned a lot more niner fans than they expected?

Think you nailed it - one of McDs best traits imo has been walking that line between having the respect of players while not being their "buddy", but still letting the players be themselves. Josh has been asked multiple times about McD recently and he has mentioned how both him and McD have evolved together - him as a QB and McD as a caoach. While McD used to be more micro-managing and regimented he has evolved to be bit looser while still having a firm control of the team, and letting the players have fun and show their personality. "Be You With Us". The snow angel thing is so indicative to me of him trying to 'let his hair' down even though it is so out of character with how tightly he is wired. It really seems like it is something he has really focused on to work on himself.

Was thinking today how cool it would be to unveil a hurry-up offense at some point in the playoffs - get a personnel match-up you like and just go into hurry up and attack it without the defense being able to substitute

You and I know that - and many knowledgable people in the media - my concern is more the voters who might jump on an alternative vote

Don't know why I care so much about this - and all the Saquon MVP talk in the media last few weeks is stressing me out. The rest of that thread has some good points as well - like belief Buffalo doesn't have high end talent is even more of an endorsement for Josh MVP (also the response to 'I'll look forward to the Bills demise in January': 'I'll look backwards to the Dolphins demise in November' 😛 ). The one comment that in 3 playoff games with KC The Bills defense has 5 stops total is a crazy stat if true

Low key - people can hate McD but the balanced offense being able to pound the ball in bad weather is what he has been trying to build for a while - will likely pay dividends come playoff time

I said in the game thread its crazy how Josh took over the MVP lead by having such a memorable performance in such a crazy bad weather game. Who else can do that.
