Tom Brady to TB - 2Yrs, $50M all gtd no trade clause
stevewin replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep - system of cheating. Absolutely can't wait for the epic fail - and the resulting crying and whining from Tommy and the media that poor Tommy "DOESN'T HAVE THE WEAPONS!" "DOESN'T HAVE THE PROTECTION!" "DOESN't HAVE THE SYSTEM!" WHAAAA WHAAA WHAAA. I pray, PRAY the fail is enough to tarnish his fraudulent cheating legacy. What a douche. -

Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure

I'm glad you noted the de-value for a future pick with the 4th - some people on here are valuing it as a 2020 4th. Worth noting too that with the trade value of those picks - moving up a few spots would not have been enough to get one of the very top WRs in the draft regardless. AND we still have all our picks after rd 1 this year. The REASON Beane acquired the extra picks was to use them as capital to go after guys he targeted, not to use them to draft extra players this year. I also wouldn't be surprised to see him use more picks this year to move up and target specific players in this draft - as others have said, we have the luxury now of having some depth, and with a few FA moves the draft now is more about quality than quantity. -

Beane has shown a willingness to use draft capital to get "his guy" - regardless of whether the "value" on paper is perceived as overpay. He acquires additional picks for the purpose of having capital to make deals to get players he targets, not to draft 11 players each year. -

XFL Opening Weekend, Matchups and where to watch.
stevewin replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My (21 yr old) son was funny - he decided he was going to follow the XFL and pick a team and picked the Defenders b/c of Bills connections w/ Cardale, Tyree, Lee (I also just realized Deondre Wesley plays for them). He then challenged my Dad and nephew to follow a team and now they have a pool going. My Dad added a payout if your team finishes the season ? He was also rooting for Proehl this weekend - he got Proehl's autograph on a hat at TC and jokes it will be worth more when he becomes an XFL legend -

So he paid for a few pizzas? ? j/k -
For some reason I found the high school QB to be one of the most jarring parts of the piece. He kept re-living his "glory days" thinking he was on the same level as The King in HS - when he appeared to be such a schlub now. The father almost did come off rehearsed - almost like an actor. The series itself was informative, but don't feel they did much more than mostly piece together clips from others who had already done investigation/stories. The sudden turn at the end to try to make him a sympathetic figure and potentially absolved of blame I thought was a bit overdone

Just caught this. This is a must-listen. If everyone hasn't listened to this I suggest they do. Just a fantastic interview. Very impressive. Looks like he is interested in moving into a role with the Bills in player development. https://www.jimrome.com/articles/lorenzo-alexander
