It really is interesting the approach McBeane took - knowing the way to stop some of these high octane offenses/QBs is to generate pressure with 4 - that they decided to have great depth and rotate constantly vs focus only on 4 top starters

All the Josh love definitely brought a smile to my face The other noteworthy PC to me was Poyer/Hyde - really was impressive to me. They both, individually and together, just exuded calm, confidence and leadership. I was watching it thinking - man we're in good hands on the back end of the D.

Yep - multiple times during the game the pressure got Mahomes off his mark and he started to run around and I was yelling "Contain! Contain!" and the D did just that

The defender picked up the QB, drove him into the ground AND fell with his full weight on top of the QB (which was purposeful and avoidable). It was textbook roughing the passer on TWO counts. It was so clear cut perhaps the NFL may use the clip for education purposes on what consitutes roughing the passer. Take the exact same play and put Mahomes or Brady as QB and imagine what the call would be.

Starting to see a turn on the coverage of Chiefs already. One thing that really stuck out to me this AM was on GMFB the Chiefs TD play to Pringle the Chiefs did all this stupid cute having different people under center before the snap and the comment was almost mockingly "well they probably could have just snapped it" when before they would have been out of their minds how innovative and groundbreaking it was. edit: On the 2nd time around for the highlight: "So much theatrics - just a whole bunch of nonsense" "When they're rolling it's really cool but when they're losing it's not so cool"
