  1. There's been a number of comments related to playing weight - in the PC Beane was asked that specifically and he said - with the caveat they obviously would have to get him in and do an actual detailed assessment to make the final determination - that he saw him playing "in the 60's", which is where he is at now. Also some of that weight obviously may be re-distributed under NFL strength and conditioning
  2. That's one thing that stands out from the highlights. He seems to have a laser focus on where the QB is and never loses sight of him - and there are plays where off the line he is setting the edge and initially guaging where the QB is, then pouncing to make a play as soon as the QB comes off his mark (instinct was one of the things Beane mentioned). He is chasing down QBs from all angles and covering all kinds of ground - and using his length to catch or trip up QBs who are moving all around. Looking at it in the context of Mahomes - you can just picture Mahomes side-stepping a one-dimensional straight-line speed guy and still making a play, but you can also picture Rousseau making Mahomes life a living hell chasing him around and down as Mahomes runs around like a crazy chicken in the backfield (hopefully for a few patented 20+ yd sacks)

  4. They have to permanently switch team allegiance - the chair is a serious matter
  5. OMG I had forgotten about that - now it will haunt my dreams

  7. Nice to see Roger's long lingering hugs return - future patient zero for the next variant
  8. I really like Fairburn - even when he was a beat reporter he always made an effort to find an angle and reach out to a variety of connected people for a story - instead of just re-hashing quotes from PCs which is what so many do. That being said I was surrised he didn't have more actual commentary from Losman himsef - would have been interesting to hear more of his personal thoughts about his time in Buffalo.
  9. I saw this yesterday on SC, have to say didn't know much about Lance before but rooting for him now
  10. What is this "going into work" of which you speak?
  11. It's almost surreal watching off season coverage now and seeing the Bills being discussed as SB contenders - at times I have to remind myself - holy crap we were in the AFCCG last year. Recently I saw some draft coverage and the talking heads were discussing about QB prospects and were saying accuracy in college no longer is an end-all metric - Josh Allen has changed the entire way QBs should be evaluated.
  12. Wish you would have started a new thread - instead of me reading the OP and first few posts and trying to figure out wtf was going on. I am not a fan of keeping old threads around forever as subjects change. Anyway - was a great article. Cool to see behind the scenes and see the value a player can have to an org separate from on the field.
  13. For you it was after football - for me it was after Creed vs Balboa I, after Fight Club
  14. I got my first shot (Moderna) last month. Was able to get myself and family signed up early, there was a window early on where UNC Health had a web site where they would offer appts to the general population if they had vaccines that were getting close to expiring. Mostly in rural areas - had to drive almost an hr for the place I signed up but that was no big deal. I got the first shot at 10AM - around 3PM I remember sitting on the couch ("WFH") and suddenly feeling very tired and slightly chilled. I wrapped myself in a blanket and then felt a wave of chill/malaise sweep over me - like when you are just coming down hard with something - and fell asleep for like 5 hrs. After that I had a sore arm for a few days and was probably a bit more tired than usual but was OK after that (I joked w/ my wife before - wasn't sure how I would identify some of the side-effects - I usually have a headache and am always tired and sore 😛 ) I got my 2nd shot a couple days ago. I am at the beach so drove 2hrs there and back - same thing got shot around 10AM - I was feeling fine and 3PM came and went and I was thinking pretty optimistically that I wasn't going to get hammered with any bad side effects. Around 5PM I even decided to take an easy walk on the beach - figured getting my body moving would be a good thing. After about 5 mins I realized that was a mistake. I felt like I was walking in quicksand. After a few more mins I decided to get off the beach and onto the road so I would be spotted if I passed out 😛 I made it back, and for the rest of the evening had chills and really intense muscle/body/head aches. Honestly can't remember every feeling that kind of entire-body intense sorenes. I think some of it may have that I was already a bit sore from riding bikes on the beach and other activity during the week - that got magnified like x1000. That night I woke up (the times I actually did get to fall asleep) a few times either hot/sweating or freezing/chilled. Was a pretty miserable night. Yesterday still felt exremely sore and tired - even through alternating Advil/Tylenol doses - and slept most of the day. Feel much better today. My wife had mostly just fatigue - also slept most of yesterday - and is also better today. My kids have their 2nd shot next week and I've told them to not plan anything for the next day.
