  1. Find someone to hug you like Micah hugs Josh
  2. Then after they move to the new stadium, and the current stadium is demolished - leave a Pit on the site of the old stadium, complete with a stairway, to push the kid into the Pit for the "Kid Down The Stairs" contest (not sure if giving them hallucinogens and dunking them in a porta-potty first would be going too far...)
  3. IMO - at this point I think it should be obvious to everyone that the mother's initial report of her child being "pushed down the stairs" is incontrovertibly untrue. The father came out with another version - being bumped - that is closer to the realm of possibility - though the level of intent/rudeness/evil of the perpetrator is still up for debate. It sucks that there was likely some drunk a-hole that might have acted improperly and negatively impacted this family's experience, but the inflammatory (and untrue) "pushed down the stairs" that the mother initially posted on social media is also improper behavior by her. It was irresponsible to misrepresent the incident using such violent imagery in a public forum. Why aren't any of the 'journalists' reporting on this not asking her why her "pushed down the stairs" story does not match what her husband says - and ask her if she wants to amend her initial account. That might help to put the incident in more perspective and quell some of the the extreme negative reaction towards the entire fanbase that has come from it
  4. I've told this story before - one of my earliest memories as a young lad attending a Bills game (in the 70s) was walking out dejected after another loss, and there was a guy half passed out, with his arms spread behind him on the seat backs and his legs sprawled on the seats in front, with his dick hanging out pissing all over himself. Will never forget the dissapointed yet firm tone in my Dad's voice when I paused in amazement and he simply said "Move along son"
  5. Like the nerd that gets to hang out with the cool kids and doesn't know how to handle it. Interesting though the whole 'party' thing, wondering what that entails - after his public admission on his past issues and current sobriety
  6. Crazy story - over 30 yrs ago my sister lived in a house on a cliff in Dana Point which her and her (now ex) husband rented from the owner who lived in another house on the compound. The owner built it himself, it was a very quirky house with all different levels/rooms, spiral metal staircases, ship portals for windows etc. It made the news earlier this year after a landslide - it is the house in the middle in the picture in this article https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/three-multimillion-dollar-homes-on-a-cliff-appear-at-risk-of-falling-into-the-ocean My sister moved long ago - but kind of freaky I visited multiple times - they were in the front A frame right on the edge of the cliff - and spent a lot of time on that deck. Another sad side story is that while she was living there the owner had terminal cancer - and one day her then husband found his body in the garage - he had blown his head off with a shotgun Back to football....
  7. Are you sure it was just water?
  8. This is actually what popped into my mind
  9. Or as someone else mentioned - get tickets in the family section, or club section where rowdy behavior is less likely (but still not guaranteed not to happen). It's not their fault some drunk guy was an a-hole near them and it is unfortunate it happened - but there are some steps you can take to insulate yourself. Sure in an ideal world going to an NFL game would be like going to Disney World - but that's just not reality - at any NFL stadium. I started taking my kids to games when they were 7-8 and knew the risks - explained to them they might see some bad behavior and hear some bad things. If they had just survived cancer I surely would have thought differently. We take my Dad who is 90 now to games and only get club seats to shield him from most of the rowdiness. My biggest problem and what seems to be lost in the reporting is that it 100% is NOT OK to then post a screed on social media with an outrageous lie negatively implicating an entire fanbase (and using your daughter's disease to amp up the reactions)
  10. Hopefully the story will be that the mother's inaccurate, inflammatory "thrown down the stairs" BS has been debunked for the lie that it is
  11. I'm talking about the house he has near LA https://www.mansionglobal.com/articles/buffalo-bills-quarterback-josh-allen-buys-california-beach-house-for-7-2-million-b0a1f748
  12. The biggest thing to me now is the admission by the parents that it actually wasn't "thrown down the stairs" - which really is the inflammatory language that made the story take off. Would not have had quite the same traction and outrage if the headline was "little girl bumped at Bills game!". Is the mother going to make another Facebook post to clarfy her daughter wasn't really "thrown down the stairs" - or anything even resembling it - then is AB going to carry the banner for that
  13. Well - he might be coming from a high level meeting...
  14. My favorite is going to be when the Rams have to use a silent snap count on offense. Wonder if Josh is going to have the team over to his house
  15. And of course the eventual abbreviation 'bel', which is even more incomprehensibe to the uninitiated
  16. i remember one game within the last couple years - think it was a playoff game - there were some snowballs being thrown around and the sideline reporters were breathlessly reporting "THEY'RE THROWING ICEBALLLS!!!!!😱" like the end of the world was coming. OMG - yeah I guess they are technically made of ice crystals. I've never seen more hysterical overreaction to anything in my life
  17. IIRC 'belinda' became a replacement for 'nm' (ie. no message) in the thread title
  18. The "I Love Football" at the end was the best
  19. I don't read it like that - some guys even say outright "We know Patrick is the best QB, but..."
  20. It still bugs me though that he and some other talking heads are so careful to qualify "I said player, not QB" - there being some kind of perceived blasphemy to not auto-crown the almighty Patrick. F that - there's no doubt Josh is a better QB than Mahomes at this point
  21. I'd be perfectly fine to have an international division - like old nfl Europe but just pretend they are actually in the NFL. Let them schlep all over the world instead of the American teams. And give them a single playoff spot so they can come over to the US and get destroyed annually
  22. Have been looking for some first-hand accounts from people who were there. What was the general vibe in the lot then stadium - was there still a lot of snow in the stands where you were? Someone mentioned a lot more niner fans than they expected?
  23. And it's based on mutual respect - not being 'buddies'. McD is maintaning a hard edge respect from players while evolving to loosen up a bit and let them be themselves and have some fun
  24. Think you nailed it - one of McDs best traits imo has been walking that line between having the respect of players while not being their "buddy", but still letting the players be themselves. Josh has been asked multiple times about McD recently and he has mentioned how both him and McD have evolved together - him as a QB and McD as a caoach. While McD used to be more micro-managing and regimented he has evolved to be bit looser while still having a firm control of the team, and letting the players have fun and show their personality. "Be You With Us". The snow angel thing is so indicative to me of him trying to 'let his hair' down even though it is so out of character with how tightly he is wired. It really seems like it is something he has really focused on to work on himself.
