  1. Yeah - as Simon would say - phrasing
  2. Been taking my son since he was young like 7yrs old, but I'll never forget my daughter's first game. She went with us one time was like 10 yrs old, Raiders game on a dark overcast morning. I'll never forget walking through the satellite lots and with the dreary backdrop and fires burning and all manner of loud lubed up characters and the occasional painted Raider fan it probably seemed to her like some hellscape from a Mad Max movie - I saw her eyes get very wide and she sidled over to get right next to me for the rest of the walk in 😛
  3. and Tim Anderson
  4. Did he get a lunch pail and high motor for gifts
  5. Maybe Wawrow and Buehler have a contact and can break the story
  6. Wasn't sure if he meant less than or greater than 😛
  7. Out of my brain on the train
  8. Are you saying Jones made 6 ST stops all season? I might use that as more evidence to say he's expendable 😛 Getting off Kumerow specifically (who no doubt will have more than 1 catch this year), I do think there are multiple positions where having an extra position player for depth in case of injury/circustance is more useful. I also think if a single gunner doesn't make a coverage tackle on a good STs unit, comeone else will - and this year the actual number of returned kicks/game is potentially going to be very low. Don't think either of us are going to convince the other at this point - Peace
  9. Comparing the importance of gunner vs kicker is obviously not a great comparison. Kickoffs/FGs/EPs vs one of 11 on coverage for maybe 3-4 plays (returnable kicks) a game - and realistically the gunner isn't even involved in the tackle for all of those.
  10. Not sure I agree about Kumerow in your example - I get your point, but to me it's more about having a depth player at some other position avail depending on injuries, gameplan etc
  11. Agree - I don't understand why so many associate not wanting to waste a spot on a single gunner who contributes nothing else to the team to saying that ST are not important. These are the reasons to me why the team does not fall apart if Jones is not on it - Bass kickoffs into endzone = less kickoff returns - Bills punted least in the NFL last year - an average of 2.6 times/game - this could even be less this year with better offense - Haack is excellent in punts downed inside the 20 (114 of 307 kicks in career - 37%!) = even less punt returns to cover - Taiwan Jones does not make every tackle on STs - other players make coverage tackles too! - Bills emphasize acquiring/drafting/developing/coaching players with ST ability - a well coached ST unit (stay in your lanes!) with many talented ST players should be able to cover (the handful of) kicks effectively regardless of whether Taiwan Jones is on the field
  12. Does Beane finalize a trade for Fromm at 3:45 am?
  13. Funny, I was thinking though after all the complaints the first two games on one-sided announcing, I doubt the packer fans were thrilled with that 😛 It was a great convo though - Beane really is great at giving some meaningful comment and not just cliches
  14. Does beane get a 5th for Fromm after that drive
  15. This is actually a pretty good convo w/ beane
  16. Beane really wants to talk about Darryl- bodes well for him
  17. Another case of opposing kicker not handling the rough conditions in Buffalo
  18. That was some good work for Josh and receivers - a whole preseason worth in a half
  19. All that offensive penalties do is help pad Josh's stats
