  1. Question for anyone who has parked in people's yards outside the campus. I was thinking of bringing a wheelchair for my Dad when we go next week - are there sidewalks etc where a wheelchair can be easily navigated. Would prefer this time to park there instead of dealing with the stupid school bus. Also - is there an ADA section set up near the practice field - I've never taken notice in the past.
  2. Now it's officially begun
  3. Totally missed he is joining GMFB - haven't watched in the offseason and since Kay left. The times I've checked in it was depressing
  4. Good points. Re: Kromer - it was actually Rome that brought up Dorsey and Kromer specifically (was surprised he threw Kromer in there) relative to offense transition, and Singletary was responding to that
  5. Jim Rome show - How has offseason been Grind been going good in hot S. Fla - if you can survive in those conditions can survive anywhere. I'm looking forward to training camp - ready to get back to it - How were you able to get better and stronger as the season wore on last year How we practice up in Buffalo, the weight room, training staff, our organization does a good job of taking care of us. And the way our offense is run - the offense was a big part of it - Josh comment last year "look at his motor on every play" Impact game even when you don't touch ball on a play Showing all the hard work is paying off. that's just how I was taught to play the game - make a block, help your guy up, push the pile - just always be around the ball - Relationship with Josh - what does he mean to team That's like my big brother. Since day 1 always been a mentor to me - what a great dude. Over the years our relationship has just grown and grown. He's a great guy to be around - and as you know that's our general. Every day he's going to bring it - day in day out - he's not taking those days off. He's always had a great energy. He's a dog - we know what we're going to get out of Josh every week - What mean by dog From mental aspect - how he approaches. The way he leads the team. No matter what's going on be it chaos or whatever he's calm, he's not blinking an eye, he's never shook. We know when the going get tough Josh is only getting better. - Where do you think that comes from Where he comes from, how he was brought up, and definitely how he prepares. Ween you prepare you know what you can do, know what you can bring to the table - Offense transition w/ Dorsey, Kromer Transition has been smooth. Coach Dorsey he's been around - even though he's in a new role, guys already have a relationship with him. Now it's only going to grow. Kromer - that's a blessing to have. What he brings to the table - his resume - he's a cool dude, from day 1 people gravitate towards him, and he really knows what he's talking about - he knows his stuff - Workout with other backs The best thing about working out with other professional athletes, esp someone that plays your position - see what each other do differently, talk about it, bounce ideas off each other, learn from each other, and getting better. Can add things you like to your game - Playing at top high school powerhouse American Heritage So competitive - day in and day out workouts, practices, games. Prepares you to go anywhere in the world and play football. Day in and day out you got to bring it. I learned both sides of the ball, what Dline, Oline, do, coverages, I learned so much ball there - [Discussion of HS teammate who died] - Week 1 Excited - we know it's going to be a test. SB champ. Great test week 1. We are looking forward to it
  6. The NFL should increase the field length to 120 yards for Josh's stats
  7. Six weeks daily seems like a crazy long time to me - that's some commitment
  8. Is there no media coverage of the rookies in camp this week? Thought they would at least trot a few out for a PC or something
  9. For this SB I went to Atlanta to try to scalp tickets. I stayed with a friend who lived there and my brother flew up from Fla. My friend thought he had tickets through a 'broker' but got screwed over right before the game. Me and my brother tried for hours before the game but couldn't find tickets anywhere. We eventually quit and went to the Bills bar my friend belonged to but it was full and they weren't letting anyone in - there was a townie bar next door that suddenly took in all the (unexpected) overflow. When the fumble happened in the 2nd half I will never forget the feeling of rage and resignation. I was more than a few beers deep and can remember clear as day staring at the glass pitcher on our table and being compelled to throw it across the room - it was like a dream sequence - or a nighmare. To this day I can't believe I didn't actually throw that GD pitcher. Man that SB sucked.
  10. This was my experience - retry retry retry. After waiting an hour just to get in, I must have entered the promo code over 100 times over 2 hrs - most times it said invalid - some times it would say promo code valid, but then show no practices when I tried to progress - then rinse repeat promo code retry, show no practices - until finally practices showed up. Then of course it crapped out the first time I got that far and picked a practice - so I had to start all over with the promo code rinse repeat. One time it only showed 7/25, then crapped out. I was definitely sweating it out each step after I finally got all the practices listed and was able to successfully select tix. First the cart, then the actual secure tix - watching the app delay with spin icon for what seemed an interminable amount of time. I fully expected to get booted on the last step. BTW - does anyone know - are tix for the Fri 8/5 stadium practice not yet avail? I didn't see it on app (but that doesn't necessarily mean anything in the context of the crappy app)
  11. What a mess - after tons of retries and partial success/failure finally got it to accept the promo code (not easy) and then actually load the practices (harder) and then actually process the tickets for a practice (minor miracle). Only spent 3 hrs on this - what a clusterf
  12. 2700 for me - I spent time before 10AM trying to familiarize, didn't see anything, then dicked around at 10AM for 5 mins trying 'Ticket' option - who knew clicking on the banner that previously did nothing but bring you to TC page would suddenly magically become the portal to registering/logging and getting tickets - and for some reason it didn't take my Ticketmaster so I had to register - what a POS
  13. It says starting at 10AM - don't see anything now - hoping at 10AM something starts showing for TC tix but not sure where - Tickets currently is only game tix, maybe they wil start showing up there?
  14. Nice read - well done. I remember this song - IIRC it was a station in Chicago that created it "Dick... Jauron Jauron Jauron Jauron..." I think when they first hired Jauron, some fans rationalized it represent Jauron's cool demeanor - then of course it eventually became a perfect anthem for the ghostly dead-eyed specter that we all remember. I actually went searching for it recently (for some reason) and found a couple references but couldn't find the actual song anywhere. It probably exists somewhere in The Upside Down Edit: OK - looked again - still didn't find the original, but found this live version - kind of a bizarro-world happy version of the melancholy original
  15. Tommy Doyle? Thought for sure the end was going to be Josh flew down wearing a cape, rescued your dog, and winked at your girl who then fainted as he flew off
  16. Josh is just preparing for the day Kelce is paired with Knox, and Mahomes is his backup 😎
  17. My first thought was also that awkward video - the anti-hype video. I'm surprised they even released it
  18. Beane playing long run 4d chess - just waiting out future backup players developing on the Bills farm team
  19. Jess blew it - Swiatek lost at the top of her draw - left it wide open
  20. One other thing - if your Dad has a handicap placard for his car by all means consider using the ADA lots. Might have to wait a bit to get out - but they are really nice - right by gate to cut down walking and nice festive atmosphere w/o being over the top. If he has trouble getting around they also have guest services people inside the gate with wheelchairs who will take him to your seats (we brought our own wheelchair for my Dad last year and it was great - from ADA lot to gate right next to it (they even waved us to the front of the line ) - then once inside can take elevator to upper levels)
  21. One other thing that's nice about the club seats for older people is people don't stand for most of the game like many/most of the people in the lower bowl now. When we take my (86 yr old Dad) we only get club seats now.
  22. I've said before the long diving catch Hooks made down the middle before the Hail Mary was the greatest sports play I ever saw live. I was in the EZ behind the play and saw the whole thing unfold in front of me - the catch was just spectacular - can still picture Hooks parallel to the ground just flying into view like Superman - unbelievable I've also said before earlier in the game as people were flooding towards the exists I told my brother "We're going to stay - It's going to be an Alcoa Fantastic Finish!" - a reference for the old timers
  23. Last week I watched one of the replays of the Chiefs playoff game on NFLN they've been playing periodically just to see the 4th Q - hadn't watched since the actual game. It was absolutely incredible to watch his performance at the end of the game - just otherworldly. Clutch play after clutch play - and his attitude - just a freaking WARRIOR. It was such an amazing performance - just unbelievable.
