  1. The recent Athletic article with Dion calling out his attitude, pouting etc. I thought was striking. Not a process guy apparently
  2. Great throwback - been a while since I've seen a Belinda OP
  3. That was my biggest take-away from the article. Dion was brutally direct in his assessment of Ford - "reality check", "respecting the challenge and not complaining about it", "not pouting" . Those are pretty strong words from a peer who also happens to be the leader of the OL - was kind of striking to me he aired that out. The Kromer angle was more about getting Ford to open his eyes and take some responsibility for himself. More from the article: Excellent article - if Ford does turn it around it seems it will be largely based on accepting responsibility for his play and actually doing the work to become better. I'm glad you posted this - I had just read the article and was about to post something here. To me though, the headline is "Dion on Ford" - not "Ford on Kromer" - very direct comments from Dion on Ford
  4. There's a dramatic improvement in the ticket price, you need to have a thick wallet to afford them
  5. Did you bet 2500 and not tell your wife?
  6. I'd be surprised if they are able to sneak Blackshear to PS - he had two good performances for other teams to see Kind of crazy how Shakir seems to always be open - it's not like he's breaking ankles with crazy moves - he just always seems to get to the right place
  7. My comment was not based on her as a person, or her knowledge of the game - just the stupid questions she asked. "What's your favorite play?" - to two differnt players! - who both looked at her like "WTF you just say?" And one of the the worst segues I've ever seen when she talked to Josh - yuk yuk what was your last golf round (another stupid question) then directly to Knox's brother's death
  8. "What's your favorite play?"
  9. Frelund takes the meaningless job of sideline reporter and makes it notable based on how terrible she is at it
  10. Embarrassment of riches
  11. Hackett needs to put Orton in
  12. Edmunds? Start a thread
  13. Good to see Edmunds fired up Glad Von is back with Bruce still there. Looking forward to the clips of Bruce and Von together
  14. At camp they did a drill sometimes where qbs wouldb throw to receivers 10-20 yd routes, and the receivers would stay at the other end like 25 yds downfield after their route, then when all the receivers went through the QBs would run to the new LOS where the receivers were and they would run the whole thing back the other way. Rinse and repeat. Pace was a big part of the drill - bang bang bang
  15. Thread title "This Tremaine Edmunds story..."
  16. about Tremaine Edmunds
  17. My personal opinion is that as long as STs don't give up big plays then that is adequate - and that is largely on coaching and discipline (Stay In Your Lanes). I think ST coverage teams are more and more minimized in today's game - factor in kicking kickoffs out of the EZ and punts with no returns (directional kicks, fair catches, or 82 yrd kicks for touchbacks lol) and you are talking about maybe a handful of plays (not even counting having an elite offense that literally doesn't even punt some games). As long as coverage teams play disciplined as a unit and don't give up big plays, and returners are well-coached and don't make bone-headed mistakes - then I think you are covered. I think it's an age-old response to say how imporatant STs are - they are important, but I think you can have adequate units without keeping a bunch of ST-only players - which is also fine if there's no one else that would make the roster deeper/better at regular positions. But on a deep talented team like ours, I would much rather keep a skill player who might contribute if there are injuries etc over the course of the season. My real pet peeve related to this is why rosters aren't say 55 - then you can potentially keep a couple ST-only players and deep, well-constructed teams aren't penalized
  18. FWIW Pat Kirwin on the Sirius camp tour was praising Beane for the OL situation - said if all 5 OL go down they have experienced players who have started games who can fll every position - said he's not aware of any other team that can say that. He mentioned they just came from Pats** camp and they have NO ONE (his emphasis) past their starting 5.
  19. The question that matters is what kind of car he drives
