  1. Mcduffie flings himself to the ground to try to get a flag instead of playing defense
  2. The one thing I learned from this thread is that the bad language filter does a thorough job of filtering out just about every curse word known to man except for one (and its a big one) 😛
  3. That was cool - went into a lot more detail on some of the stuff people were wondering about. Overhang snow load, natural grass maintenace, Wind Confusion!.. The idea of the technology building is cool - separate that out so that it doesn't take up stadium space - and able to be expanded outside the confines of the stadium. My son is a Construction Engineer here in NC and this year before a game we walked over and were looking at the stadium and he casually mentioned he submitted his resume at some point - I'm not even sure when - "I figured if I got hired I could just come up and live with Grandpa for a while"
  4. You know how bills mafia travels 😛 just picture the tailgating in the reception parking lot
  5. I dom't think the defense this game will necessarily be representative of what we will see against good teams come playoff time - I'm hoping they do a lot of crazy simulated pressures, stunts, blitzes from crazy places etc that they wouldnt normally do as much to try to confuse the hell out of the rookie QB
  6. What's the over-under on how long it takes Paty to start dramatically limping around after a scramble/sack - with subsequent breathless coverage and ad nauseum super close-up shots of his foot the rest of the game (of course then miraculously scrambling for a 1st down late in the game - "What a warrior!"). I say the drama starts his first offensive posession.
  7. The distance Josh would throw a nerf cortex cannot be expressed in normal english measurement units
  8. Agree great news not to see Josh on there - the whole shoulder X-ray thing had me worried. He's the opposite of Mahomes - can have a broken bone and say oh it's nothing
  9. There seems to be a slight shift on the shows I've seen in the last couple days where some talking heads are trying to insert Lamar back in the conversation. I'm sure some/most of it is in the production meeting them saying "OK who's going to do the dissenting Lamar for MVP take" Jeff Saturday's "if Saquon beats the record he's lock for MVP" is just silly - I guess he pulled the Saquon card in the production meeting To me it all comes down to the voters themselves and how many will make the 'correct' choice - and how many might try to get cute and take one of the 'other' options just to be different
  10. My hate for cheating POS frauds Brady and Bellicheat will never wane. Will always hate POS human Kraft and the POS franchise - but given NE's current irrelevance as a total trash team - the Chiefs are prob ahead of them now
  11. The EZ view of the play is insane - you see him buy time then get obliterated right off the screen right as the ball is launched as if from a cannon - then you're looking at the receivers and thinking 'wait that's too far the ball won't get there' even though you know it does - and it drops right in Coleman's arms. Absolute insanity
  12. I did the same. Been interesting to see the cash out go up and down but I held fast
  13. This is a game where McD and Babich can absolutely dictate and try to make it a nightmare for the rookie QB - simulated pressure, disguised looks pre-snap, blitzes from anywhere
  14. I dunno - to me it's the way he puts his arms out in front of him to literally put all his weight on Josh under him as he goes to the ground. To me that's not a natural response to falling to the ground - it's a purposeful move to maximize trauma
  15. It sucks how that dude purposely laid out to fall with his full weight on Josh
  16. Aside from the last series where there were called Josh runs to try to put the game away - I also think he definitely was being smart yesterday and taking the safe option a lot of times instead of going beast mode and trying to run guys over. Even on the long scramble up the middle where he did the pop-up slide, you know deep down as he was rambling he would have loved to take on and truck those last guys in his way - but he did the right thing and got down, and like you said pop up before anyone could touch him. For these last games wouldn't be surprised if there are no called QB runs at all - should be able to TCOB w/o needing them and putting him in harms way at all
  17. It always impresses me how good the current stadium looks in the background in drone videos of the new stadium
  18. Msybe Stephen is an AI bot 😛
  19. The other thing is the other guys on that side played it to perfection - ran straight ahead to block the Lion players to give Hollins a free shot at the ball. As much as I am frustrated at ST sometimes, they executed that onside recovery perfectly
  20. It's like when teams try to game plan for the fact he's "better when he rolls to his right". I saw some interview in the last year or so someone mentioned it and Josh just smiled and was basically "OK". It's one thing to know it and another to stop it
  21. Was waiting for this to be bumped 😛
  22. There was discussion about the turf leading up to the game. The Lions turf was changed last year to a 'monofilament' turf from 'slit film', which the NFLPA has cited for causing more non-contact injuries (the belief being the slit film is 'stickier' for cleats). So Detriot actually has the 'safer' turf now The remaining teams with slit film are New York Giants, New York Jets, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Indianapolis Colts, and Cincinnati Bengals https://www.prideofdetroit.com/2023/1/6/23542354/detroit-lions-changing-ford-field-turf-safer-core-monofilament-surface-2023
  23. Back in the day OJ was definitely in rarefied air
