You watch those panel shows now and you can just picture the pre-production meetings - "OK for this question who is going to just pick the most outlandish take to generate outrage and twitter posts" It really has become ridiculous - unwatchable And Sportscenter anchors OMG - the constant ridiculous banter and trying sooo hard to be witty/goofy, and always failing - it is nauseating at times. I can't even watch highlights anymore without wanting to mute.

Josh Allen is Playing football Saturday

Think they are holding back how they use Kincaid in the preseason - last game he was mostly just asked to block. Unleash him on the Jets -
In Ep 2 Rodgers comes off complaining that a certain play doesn't work out of a certain formation and they showed a shot of Saleh who looked like a little scolded schoolboy. It may just be editing, but they make is seem like Rodgers is the alpha over everyone including the head coach. Sometimes Saleh and other coaches come off as giddy fans.

Practice fight (8/15) - Helmets are swinging

College was also like TV blackout for me. I said in the Paul Reubens RIP thread there were two shows I watched - we used to get up hungover Sat morning and gather to watch Pee Wee's Playhouse, and used to watch George Michael Sports Machine on Sun night. Do you remember what the jokes were you sent in? -
Ep 2 - Nice to see the Rodgers infomercial continue - Saleh's punchable face quotient rising (if that's possible) - Every time I see Hackett first thought is "clown show" - Wow Bryce looks like a little kid - Nice peek at joint practice into how things will go once the pressure starts coming - Let's hope their season goes as bad as their rookie show

Jonny Manziel documentary on Netflix is great

Yeah was kind of a cautionary, open-ended ending - after all his substance issues to have the last shot of him sitting there with his boys drinking a beer. I did think he came of really well in the interview portions -
Just get the freaking McCourty's off my screen

Another example of the D throwing different things like they have all camp - here rushing 3 and dropping Settle into coverage -

We are going up to Buffalo for a wedding later this month and last week my wife went ahead and bought tix for the Pitts pre-season game on the way up. When she saw comment about Allen playing in a preseason game today she excitedly said if Allen is playing one game that will probably be it. -

I would think it just means he will be taking the kicks on Sat - then they may rotate others for the other games -
Sports Illustrated had a feature article on Sauce not too long ago - have to admit seems like a decent guy and hard guy to hate - can still hate the Jets and Saleh tho 😛

Yeah kinda crazy for a reporter to report an int but not who actually got the int. From other reports think it was Neal

I've said on here before the four practices I saw I didn't see Morris miss a catch

I find Saleh to be a blowhard meat head - first ep doesn't change that for me
-
- What's the over on the number of times I need to see Hackett grab Rodger's a$$ - So much playing to the camera - and nice of Hard Knocks to make Hard Knocks such a big part of the story - This is not making Saleh any more likeable to me

The houses directly across fill up closer to 8:30 - there are houses in the neighborhood behind that might have room after -

My Too Early 53 man Roster based on Camp reports

Morris was consistently good the practices I saw - and I think they love him. I could even see him taking Gilliam's hybrid role. I think Barkley is a lock for the PS - he had offers to sign with other teams last year which woud have started with vet min 1.2M but chose to stay with the Bills on the PS for a vet max 358,200. I think Beane signs another backup to replace K Allen if he continues to play in preseason like he has in camp. Also agree Murray is a guy you put on PS as insurance for Harris. It's nice to be in the position as SB contenders and good culture that vets will stay for less. -
A new backup QB would ideally be someone who brings something to the QB room as well

The days I went last week one thing you couldn't say was that Elam was not competing - dude was working out there
-
I also thought he would be a better option coming into the season but all the practices I was at last week he consistently did not look good. At first I was trying to give him the benefit of being new to system etc - but by now there should be some improvement. Preseason is going to be critical for him, if he shows nothing then I think Beane has to look elsewhere (hell, even Josh would have to say at this point that Kyle has sucked)

Training Camp (scrimmage) - 8/4 5:00pm - The return of Blue and Red
stevewin replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
One other thing was the D was going off to the side field (out of sight of fans/stands) a LOT during the practices last week - more than I ever remember. Could be a sign they are working on new things -

Honestly it was more pronounced at Fisher this week - esp Mon/Tues. Defense was many times what I would call smothering - O didn't have a chance to breathe. Almost like the O was being forced to play on a smaller field. A lot of it was defense was throwing kitchen sink at them right off the bat - dudes coming from everywhere. Was better showing by O on Thurs - at least it wasn't constant jailbreak. Likely a combo of O handling it better, and D dialing the exotic pressures back a bit. -

I said in my practice summary yesterday, I didn't see Morris miss a ball in the three practices this week (now four)
