As others have noted, you go to one of two local HSs and take a bus. You would want to get there early to make sure you get a seat in the stands. As someone else mentioned, young kids are probably going to be bored as hell after 15 mins so be ready for that. After practice they have a group of players designated to sign at the main stadium - lines form for each. It may be possible to catch a player walking from the bldgs out to the fields before the tunnel under the stands before practice, also on the way out once practice ends. People also sometimes try to throw stuff down to players down in the tunnel from the stands- but there is the possibility you may never see that item again (and don't hit Josh!) One year my son got beane to sign his hat because he went to uncw, beans alma mater, and yelled 'UNCW Seahawks' and beane looked up and gave him a thumbs up and my son tossed his hat which beane signed and threw back. The truth is VIP holders have a much better chance of getting a casual encounter at the fence based on access/proximity - I think players also might be told to give some attention there. I've been lucky and have had VIP a number of times and have gotten pics with a number of players at the fence (my avatar is my dad and son from vip section fence, Josh's rookie year) For casual encounters at fence some players will only sign for kids exclusively. Josh esp I've never seen sign for anyone except a kid (he even blew off my dad recently who was holding an 8x10 of my avatar at the fence - and in a wheelchair! - we thought it would be a slam dunk but Josh went right by him 😛

Yes, the setup at SJF is much more rigid now. There are VIP and corporate areas closer to the field, the regular fans are relegated to main stands on near side and smaller stands on other side. The fence is set up pretty far away from the field - so it is not like the old days at Fredonia or even early days at SJF where the fence was close to the action and you could walk around along the fence and actually see stuff (one year early at SJF we walked over to where some RBs were running after practice and Willis McGahee came o er and signed my sons shirt bc we were right there - wouldn't be able to get a sniff of that today) One of McDs first camps I was talking to a guy who worked there who was a friend of a friend and he said at that time McD really was much more interested in it being set up for players than for fans

Yeah - they've done due diligence to fence off the whole main area

FWIW I don't recall any vantage points outside the gates/fences at SJF to see the practice. There may be some security 'holes' in the surrounding fence tho 😛 - although security may be beefed up now

Got 2 tix for weekday practices week of 7/31 no prob when public opened - tried for the Sun and 2000+ in front in queue lol BTW I imagine the limit is tied to ticketmaster acct - if you have another ticketmaster acct I believe you could use that for addl tickets

Is the link tied to a STH account - vs just a presale code?

Bills promote Eric Washington to assistant head coach
stevewin replied to elroy16's topic in The Stadium Wall
I met his wife the morning after the preseason game against the Panthers, while having breakfast at the hotel. She saw us in Bills gear and came over to ask why there are so man Bills fans in every city when they play 😛 Was very nice. I also met Eli Ankou's parents at the same breakfast (and sat with Brandin Bryant's Dad in the councourse during the initial rain delay before the game the night before) -
In other news about Diggs, he's busy 'camping'
stevewin replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
The 'SD' logo is pretty cool -
Diggs made it public when he didn't show up. Nothing McD was going to say in response to a direct question "Are you concerned?" was going to make the issue or media spotlight go away. If he said "No" the headline would be 'Coach doesn't care star player blows off team', if he gave some non-answer he'd be flogged for avoiding the questions and all the speculation would still exist. I don't understand why so many people are so upset over the words "Very concerned" - it's the truthful response. People concerned about Diggs' feelings - it's not necesarily a shot at Diggs - if anything it's telling Diggs we are taking your actions seriously (and probably also refers to the internal/organizational breakdown that led to the whole thing in the first place)
-
He was responding to a direct question of "How concerned are you about that?" (follow-up to "Stef is not here") - I feel like people were going run with something regardless, given the situation. If he said "Not concerned at all" then people would be screaming 'How can the coach be so out of touch with what is clearly an issue', if he said "No comment" then it just opens it up to wild speculation regardless

Tomorrow (6/13) is the start of mandatory minicamp, right?
stevewin replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe we can use this as a new minicamp thread instead of bumping a 3 month old OTA thread -
Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)
stevewin replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
Would have to be brain damaged to go to miserable joyless Cheater franchise with miserable joyless cheater coach and Mac 😄Jones trying to throw you the ball - an extra few mil just ain't worth it -
6 pages and not one comment about ugly knees or ankles - seems like overwhelming approval for here

Thought the coolest part was when Josh was trying to explain something to Kincaid then said just line up and played DB to help explain the concept

I love you Josh Allen

Before opening the thread I considered the possibility the thread title was referring to details of Josh's dating life since the end of Josh Britt

Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
stevewin replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes - with round communal sink -
My point is it's the movement that matters. Some people with ACL tears can walk or even run in a straight line with the tear. It's lateral movement that is the issue - the ACL stablizes that. Willis McGahee ran in a straight line before the draft then sat out the whole year (I know his injury was worse, but the point is he was able to run in a straight line with it far from recovered). Like I said for sure it's not a bad sign to see him doing these movements, progress for sure. But in terms of actually being able to play, when we see video of him moving side to side that's when it's time to start to get optimistic he is closer. I think they will be crazy conservative with him - no need to have any urgency for him to start the season IMO

RD 5, Pick 150: WR Justin Shorter, Florida
stevewin replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
😄No - but I might have his autograph (as visiting player) somewhere. If we got there early we used to go down by the tunnel where the players came out (no security that I remember) - sometimes visiting players would be just hanging out sitting in the stands - and we'd walk up and talk to them and get autographs. One time towards the end we actually saw John Y Brown and asked him about the team moving and he lied (to children!) and said no not moving. Lying POS. Did I say I loved the Braves. Those game days - the freezing walk from the parking spot under some bridge my Dad used to park for free, entering the bustling Aud lobby, the excited walk up the ramps to the Orange... When I was in 7th grade my grade school team played at halftime one game
