  1. It's funny a guy like Shavers it seems one media guy starts tweeting about him and then a bunch of others follow suit and a narrrative spreads. The truth is watching practices every player has good and bad reps - and sometimes media guys seem to just concentrate on the good (or bad) for a particular player which fits the narrative (see McGovern 'bad snaps' narrative early in camp). I went to two practices right after pads went on and Hamler jumped right out to me among all the WRs - was winning all his battles and catching everything. And there were tweets from the media those days talking about Shavers (who I barely noticed doing anything) and not one mention of Hamler
  2. What is Beane doing!!! He should have signed him so KC couldn't get him!!! OMG!!! I'm so done with this team! 😛
  3. And a meat head for a HC. F them
  4. On a semi-related note - in Raleigh they are about to embark on a long term renovation plan for the arena and surrounding area - phase 1 of the $300 million arena update includes things they are calling "bunker suites" - which appear to be basically conference rooms in the bowels of the arena with no view of the event - the renderings have people sitting around drinking and watching a large screen TV of the event. Talk about trying to maximize revenue for every sq ft - guess if they can get people to pony up - good luck to them.
  5. Yeah it's a small thing, but if you are responsible for creating these things, don't put live game images on the TV and then show people with their back turned to the actual game and their face buried in their phone - put something on the TV that implies it is pre-game or halftime
  6. It's too bad our bye week isn't week 1
  7. He had a great game shooting gaps and making tackles for sure, but he'll need to be able to cover as well. It's one thing keying on the run with pitt trash QBs and vanilla O - needing to cover talented TEs and RBs with legitimate QBs and schemes and real bullets flying is another thing. I'm not saying he can't do it, just that it's a facet we haven't seen yet.
  8. Love how the two dork pitt fans reach out for it - oh for me? 😛
  9. A Boy Named Sue
  10. That Davis drop at Jets was also with a jacked up elbow. Unbelievable throw Edit just searched for it and saw this - at the time, with an injured throwing elbow, it was the farthest pass thrown in the NFL in the previous six seasons
  11. I thought about Siran Neal watching the preseason game - someone from the Bills actually downed the ball inside the 10 and my first thought was how refreshing not to see Neal or Jones fumbling around and failing to track and down a kick without it bouncing off them or into the EZ
  12. The stupid internet "doctors" diagnosing injuries from video clips are absolutely ridiculous - just stupid speculation - all of them
  13. Can't possibly articulate how much I hate these stupid internet "doctors" making diagnosis from video clips
  14. Why would Hill actually need to race him - first just line up on a track and run 100 and see if you can get under 10
  15. Yes - imagine an additional 6'7" option if they decided to ever go 3 TEs
  16. Going for first time next weekend - staying at the north end of the loop by the river across from the end of the MM - plan to do a lot of walking. Also got tickets to a Cubs game. Looking forward to it
  17. I think that whole thing was an overblown 'camp narrative'. The couple missed exchanges under center Josh said were his fault because his hands were sweaty - Josh, McGovern, and McD all said not worried at all about the shotgun snaps - consistency will come with reps
  18. Who has the stats for porn stache Josh
  19. Interesting - I guess based on comments, taking sunglasses off will be a requirement to enter stadium?
  20. I rooting hard for him. First practice I got there and kept seeing 19 make plays - thinking who the hell is 19? I soon learned. I was expecting some little smurf who was just fast, but dude was a dog in 1-1s and team drills - physical fighting for position and atacking the ball - also making guys look silly at times. Love that he is 1st on depth chart for returns if that guarantees his spot in the roster bc I think he can contribute for sure as depth WR
  21. KJ was also all over the two practices I went to last week mon/tues - not sure why no media was mentioning him then
  22. His arm grew back!
  23. Dome of Sadness
  24. McGovern had some interesting things to say - Morse snapped a little to the left which Josh was used to so they've been slowing working on moving it over to the center - Last year the OL would know what they were doing - but they didn't communicate to the WRs or TEs - which they are doing this year - This year Brady has done a great job making sure they are all on the same page - have RBs in with the OL meetings to go over hole to hit, calls and blocking schemes - everyone's on a better page this year - Bills D is so aggressive, playing another team will be good for rookies bc they will be able to face a 'different' (ie. less aggressive) D and will be easier to excel - Sometime for calls he tells Josh no, "so I don't know, if in his first couple years, if anyone really told him no or other stuff" - "and he's in our meetings more, just hearing our calls, just knowing we're all on the same page" "And I think he's taking that next leadership, talking not just to the O line, but making sure everyone's on the same page - if I change the call he's telling the WRs they got new routes or whatnot - so I think he's taking that next step" Brady has really emphasized communication and everyone knowing what the other guys are doing Also thought Epenesa came off as very thoughtful and impressive to me his PC - not sure I've ever seen him talk that long
