Neither do I. But I don't assume that the Sue's manager is inept or her judgement in hiring Sue's coworker is skewed, or that Sue is the diggity-dog at work either.
We can have fun arguing the point, but in traditional workplaces if you pull a verbal roundhouse kick on your superior, you're subject to sanctions that may include firing (or demotion, or being left to ferment in obscurity) even if you happen to be parking in the 'employee of the month' spot.
