Which WR do you think the Bills will draft?
turftoe replied to Milanos Milano's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Philly takes Jamison Williams with one of the 3 first rounders. They can pair him up with Devonta Smith. I like Christian Watson but I don’t see him making it to pick 57. Probably goes very early day 2. -
Thumbs up for Khalil Mack if he has recovered from his foot surgery and the cost is reasonable. Thumbs down to trading for Terry’s Penn State connected Barkley. Thumbs mostly down for McCaffrey trade. Thumbs sideways for Chandler Jones unless his $ is too high. I was thumbs up until I watched the numerous YouTube videos of him being dominated by Trent Williams. Probably over rated. Bring back Jerry Hughes for 1 more year. Draft a good DT to pair with Ed Oliver in round 2 or 3. Draft Dax Hill at 25. I think he can play any spot in our secondary.

Speculative article on friction between McDermott and Staff?
turftoe replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall
Tyler Dunne probably spent too much time with Jerry Sullivan. He writes like him. Snarky, looking to create a controversy, outsider looking in and reporting as such. No real substance. -
I could see the Colts going after him. He is from Ohio so that is fairly close to home. Pittsburgh could also sign him just to throw people off the scent of their drafting of Malik Willis.

Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season
turftoe replied to QCity's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sean McDermott has been the best coach we have had. Poor Jerry will look like the tool that he is when we win the Super Bowl. Jerry thrived when he could bash the bills when they were bad. Now he has to really reach for something bad to say. Jerry being Jerry. So glad he is Mr. Insignificant at the world renowned Niagara Gazette. I didn't look at the date. It still felt good to get that off my chest. -
Sullivan: Bills' McDermott choked away Super Bowl-caliber season

Jerry Sullivan. What will be his next step down from the Niagara Gazette? "Look at me, I used to be a big shot at the Buffalo News." Please go away. -
Spotrac spitballs C. Kirk & C. Williams to Bills
turftoe replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
I watched all of Christian Kirk's catches this past year. Most of them are little dinks and dunks with no YAC. Not very impressed. I think I like Beasley better. -

Maybe he misses the thrill of the race car chick. -
Our defense always seems to come up short in the playoffs

If Khalil Mack comes back from his foot injury without any lingering effects then he is a trade option that is really intriguing. Chicago needs to get weapons for their new young QB and the Ohio State WRs (Olave and Wilson) could be targets. Kind of like Cincinnati’s getting Chase Young to pair with their young QB. One of them could be there at pick 25. Trade down to pick 39 and include a 3rd next year and maybe Include AJ Epenesa. There will still be a good player at 39. Mack is 31 yo and for Chicago, he is very expensive. For the team acquiring his contract, is is reasonable and easy to get out of, if it didn’t work out. Maybe the third team is a charm, especially since is coming home to where he got his start at UB. Maybe he could fill a roll somewhat like Lorenzo’s rushing LB spot. -
I have several friends that are Canadian and I asked them if they were offended by being called a Canuck. They were not. They likened it to being called a Yankee. I doubt that the NY Yankees name will be changed.

It’s nearly a 1,000 mile drive to Buffalo from my home but I’m definitely going to be there in person for the victory parade!

Good interview. Rome seems to have warmed up a bit to western NY. He has always referred to Rochester as Crapchester.

Quinton Spain comments on release from the Bills
turftoe replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the year to really get the OL figured out. It’s time to stop forcing the issue with Ford. Trade him for a late round pick and draft a really good guard or two that Kromer can groom. Maybe someone that could also eventually transition to center at some point. We have quality tackles in place. -
Can you correctly predict who Brian Daboll will steal from the Bills ?

McKenzie, Trubisky, Obada. -
Post-Beatdown Belichick Locker Room Visit?
turftoe replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall
I hope so. For all the times this guy has cheated, I would make sure there are no missing playbooks and make sure he didn't leave some type of surveillance equipment. This guy approaches the game like it is war. Spying is part of war and cheating doesn't exist in war. I once saw something on tv about his view on such matters and that was basically his approach to preparing for a game. -
I agree with McDermott on this one. Be careful what you wish for!

Josh reveals he suffers from poor circulation

Taking Viagra before a game could pose other potentially embarrassing issues. Take care of Josh Allen’s feet! Build a dome! Heck, take care of 60,000 pairs of feet by building a dome! -
Marv Levy Leading the charge Saturday Night ?
turftoe replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
Someone could run out dressed up like Poncho Billa No, on second thought I'd rather they play an old clip of him to get the team pumped a little, especially Harrison Phillips. We'll need the D-line to play big this game and make it very uncomfortable for Mr. Jones. -
Matt Barkley released by Carolina [now: Claimed by Falcons]
turftoe replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. I’ll never forget when we signed Lawyer Milloy in 2003 after NE cut him prior to the opener. He really helped us trounce them that week. That was a little different, since he really had a lot of inside dirt on the NE game plan that week. Barkley isn’t as connected at this point but he may provide some useful intelligence. -

Makes sense for Atlanta to sign a guy who knows the Buffalo offense well. Probably a 1 week signing and will be cut after the game. Dabs may need to change things up a bit.
