Throw all those stats out the window. I saw with my own eyes that the guy sucks. He's injury prone. His accuracy sucks. His anticipation sucks. His ball placement sucks. His pocket awareness sucks. We're stuck with him, though. Next season will be another waste because of him. Guaranteed!!

What is your EJ Manuel Confidence Level?
Wiz replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Manuel is not a NFL caliber starting qb and never will be for reasons well documented. My only question is can the Bills blame Nix for the bad pick and move on in the next draft to take a genuine NFL caliber qb in the first round? -
Manuel IS a franchise qb for a very bad franchise. It's a perfect fit. If they compound their mistake by skipping on a legitimate first round qb in this draft, I will be even more emotionally detached from this team if that were actually possible. Don't blame the line. The defense knows he can't hit the long ball, so they just pin their ears back and go after him.

Manuel will have ups and downs for the next three years showing great promise one week and remarkable ineptitude the next. He will ultimately prove himself incapable of contributing enough to make this an exceptional offense. He will also miss numerous games every year because of injury. We will again be shopping for a qb in three years in the meantime we will lose many of our defensive talent. It's the Bills' way.

This is when this pathetic turd of an excuse for an organization, the Bills get really interesting...It's time to talk about THE DRAFT!!!! Woo hoo!!! We really need a franchise dog. Oh, you say there are only franchise cats available?? How 'bout we draft a mangy mutt in the first round and convince everybody--including ourselves--he's a full breed, show dog.

Piling onto the ROOKIE EJ Manuel is moronic
Wiz replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I give him nothing but credit for his ability to school the bills coaches and scouts by convincing them he's a pocket passer and that over the course of a couple months with a qb coach he had greatly improved from that mediocre FSU qb everybody saw on film. No other teams bought his pile of steaming crap, but these geniuses. -
Just give him a teleprompter and some people pulling the strings.
-
That might work, but just one time like Marino faking the spike against the Jets. Then again, he may just drill a line drive through the uprights w/o a rush.

Carroll wasn't arguing about the TO, he was pissed that Bryant got a kick off. Carroll called the TO well before the ball was snapped. Bryant smartly took a practice kick. Carroll is indeed a d-bag.

Rest the starters?? No. Just have Fitzy run the spread and fling the ball around. Also limit Spiller to 9 touches. In other words, just stick with the game plan.

Say what you will about Trent's career; he beat a true wild west gunslinger!!!

2012 Buffalo Bills: One of the worst NFL defenses of all time?
Wiz replied to Jetman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Chan is grasping at straws when he's says (paraphrasing) "but for a few big plays, we played good defense." -
"Wannstedt seldom likes to blitz, though he is doing that more this time around with linebacker rushes. The cornerbacks are asked to play press coverage a majority of the time, with safety help over the top. And the tackles have to take up blockers to keep the linemen off the linebackers, who are asked to clean up against the run". http://www.bostonglo...gNdJ/story.html I just can't conceive how an entire defense with some proven talent can be the worst in league history over the last two weeks???!!!!! Oh, I forgot, it's Buffalo, where miraculously bad things come true!!!.

We know the following: Kyle Williams is a very good player whose got a good body of work Dareus had a very good rookie year. Our LB corps is our greatest weakness. Wannstadt's scheme has always been to have his tackles hold up the lineman so the linebackers are free up to roam and make the tackles. Dareus and Williams both like to use their quickness to slice through the gaps, pressure the qb and wreak havoc in the backfield. Is Wannstadt restraining Dareus and Williams from using their strengths while depending on our lousy lb's to make the plays? It's the only explanation for Williams and Dareus, two quality players, being virtually non-existent.

A Few Thoughts About The Game, in no particuar order.....

We could have/should have had Andy Dalton who was picked right after Williams. -
It's more like the ugly chick you never wanted, but was thrust upon you by your parents suffering from dementia.

Young fellow, you're too young to recall a time before the radicals, in fact the very mentors to our current "commander in chief" infiltrated our government, society and our very culture. This was before the so called "war on poverty" and the conversion of our culture from one in which there was a right and wrong to one in which society or some ambiguous disease was blamed for people's ill's, perversions and criminality. The great majority of people had a sense of personal responsibility for their actions. Of course, there weren't the creature comforts and the luxury's we now enjoy and people did suffer as they always have and always will. However, there was a clear distinction between right and wrong. Prison was a punishment and not a place for "rehabilitation" and, definitely, not a right of passage for an entire sub-culture created from the aforementioned "war on poverty." Things weren't perfect as some may say. However, one could enjoy the trust of his fellow Americans to do the right thing. Amen!!! Anyhow, my favorite pre-Super Bowl Bill was Joe Ferguson. He had a great arm and great anticipation of his receivers breaks. Although his stats didn't indicate it, I believe that with the NFL today, he would be a top five QB in the NFL.

Graham apparently opened a lot of eyes during the Senior Bowl: Senior Bowl Rankings: Offense Added Jan 28, 2012, Under: Scouting Senior Bowl Top 5 Rankings: 1- TJ Graham, WR, North Carolina State: Graham definitely helped himself this week, perhaps more than any receiver here. His speed is extremely evident and he looks like he will be running in the 4.3’s in the 40 yard dash, but he also caught the ball well, created separation with his route running, and overall looked like one of the more impressive receivers here. I really liked him as a sleeper and he looked terrific in his final game at NC State, but between that and this week of productive practices he should be on everyone’s radar by now. He’s a guy that I might have a 3rd round grade on once I finish my film study on him. http://nfldraftmonsters.com/scouting/senior-bowl-rankings-offense/

An inside source (Yeah, yeah, I know...) tells me Bruce wanted to help with the recruiting effort, but Littman refused to pay for Bruce's weed and liquor.

That defense finished 27th in the league, there must have been a lot of unclaimed money. The only pain inflicted was on the Bills fans.

Great article by Tim Graham in B News

"Having people imagine it and what they would do without the team is a good thing," said Indiana University social psychologist Dr. Edward Hirt. "People need to anticipate that, and the more we do that the more prepared we are when it happens." Hey Ed, How bout you imagine your wife getting plugged by the postman. So you can cope better when you find out. It's a good thing.
