Perusing the Steelers MBs, it looks like about 70% of their fans wanted to play the Chiefs more than the Bills. Of those that wanted the Bills, the most prominent reason was more to avoid the game on Peacock than believing they matchup better. They also dislike KC more than BUF for some reason.

I didn’t realize he got in the game.

Oh yeah, it absolutely happens. Someone had posted some hot takes about Mahomes and Burrow that mirrored the criticism Allen gets in game and it was similar in tone. People post with emotions, their takes at the time aren’t reflective of the player as a whole, but rather how that player is performing. I don’t know if CJ Stroud is getting hammered by his fans, but if he’s not right now, you can trust that it’s coming 😂 Every QB will have fans calling them out at some point, even Brady went through it. And the reason is because every QB will have up and down games. They’re human, not robots.

These are real time reactions from fans who are witnessing various levels of implosion. I don’t think a single one of these fans would tell you “Josh sucks” overall, it’s how he’s playing at the time the comment is made. Granted I’ve never said he sucks, or called him a mental midget (even if his play warranted the comment), but I’ve absolutely said “Allen is killing us right now.” Doesn’t mean I hate the QB or don’t believe he’s one of the best in the league, just means I’m commenting on his play at that moment. As others have said, he’s allowed to be criticized. He doesn’t need other fans riding in on a cape to defend him. His (good) play on the field will silence the chatter. Oh shut up.

PPV Superbowls are Goodell’s next goal.

Coming into the game, Miami was 11-0 when leading at halftime, the only team in the NFL that could boast an undefeated record in that circumstance. Feels good to end that for them. Their fans must be livid their vaunted offense did nothing the entire 2nd half.

I never said I’d take “a bunch” of QBs over Allen, don’t misquote me to fuel your high horse narrative. I said it’s popular on this board to say “I’d take no other QB in this league over Allen” and I said I’d take a couple. A couple as in 2. I love Allen when he’s making plays, not so much when he’s one of the primary reasons the offense can’t move the ball or continuously turns it over. No Bills fan on this board “hates” Allen, get off your soap box.

Props to Knox for the TD catch. Prior to that he hadn’t done much but drew a holding penalty. He’s clearly TE2 in the offense, Kincaid is the truth.

Of course this isn’t true, but what is nice to see is that the defense is starting to close out the game when Allen steps off the field with a lead. That wasn’t happening earlier in the year but has been happening lately. We’ll see if it continues against the better playoff teams.

I wish I would’ve put a huge bet on the Bills to win the East when they were 6-6 and the Fins were 9-3. Wonder what the odds were then…

I’m not sure we have any Allen “haters,” those who criticize his play just want him to play better. We go as Allen goes. If he’s on his game we can and will win a SB. If he’s off, we lose, because it’s likely he’s making plays for the other team. Criticizing and wanting more isn’t “hating.”

Allen blindly threw the ball to Davis yet it’s Gabe’s fault. Sure. Cook dropped a TD pass, yes, but Allen also overthrew a wide open Diggs, a point you conveniently left out. We WONT win a SB if Allen can’t raise his level of play. His supporting cast doesn’t always come through, but he’s gotta play more consistent.

A lot of people on this board like to say “there’s not a single other QB in the league I’d take over Allen.” I’m not as committed, there’s a couple other guys I’d rather have.

Where is @CincyBillsFanto say that Allen’s play is the least of the passing game worries?

If Tank Dell and Nico Collins had Gardener Minshew throwing them the ball you wouldn’t know the names of either one of those guys. It’s the QB. Credit to both for making plays when the opportunity presents itself though, they’re clearly on a higher level than Sky Moore, MVS, and Kadarius Toney, guys who do almost nothing but drop catchable passes. Allen’s receivers have dropped the 7th highest percentage of passes, so they’re not doing him the best of favors either.

They’d both be no names if Stroud had busted. Luckily for them he’s having an unprecedented rookie season.

Nowhere near as far. Stroud’s TD pass would be more comparable to the bomb Allen hit to Davis against KC in the divisional game.

No he didn’t. There seems to be a common denominator here, doesn’t it? The Dorsey offense averaged almost a full turnover more per game and had less of a commitment to the run game. The Brady offense has taken the ball out of Josh’s hands. Less turnovers, more rushing attempts, both by the QB and RBs. I don’t think either OC is to blame for the pass game execution because both have/had “NFL open” routes, but whether it’s a missed read, a bad ball, a bad drop, or protection issues, they haven’t been able to capitalize. It’s on the players first and foremost, no coordinator has “broken” the pass attack.

Brady doesn’t throw the ball. Even Josh admitted the passes didn’t feel good spinning out of his hand against the Pats. He missed a few open TDs. He also played rather mediocre against the Chargers in another “gotta have it” game. All Brady can do is scheme up the offense and call the plays, it’s up to those on the field to capitalize on what’s available. And the offense has left plenty of points on the board.

It was a bad ball to Kincaid anyway. Allen opted to throw short rather than put that thing around the 5 yard line. If Austin hadn’t spun back around and instead followed Sherfield, the DB covering Kincaid gets to make a play on the ball because it was short.

Right now they’re the lovable losers, a franchise with likeable players starving for a trophy. If they can start cashing in and winning some championships, the hatred will rise with their level of success.

Second in turnovers to Sam Howell, but yeah the argument is sound. If he’s going to have that many turnovers, he also needs to almost single-handedly be the reason the Bills beat teams. The irony is that our offense has looked better under Brady since the ball has been taken out of Josh’s hands. Pass game still looks uneven though, even with an improved commitment to the run game.

I’d still take him.

Going into the last regular season game of the year, Allen ranks: 12th in completion percentage (65.6) 7th in yards (3,947) 11th in yds/att (7.3) 7th in passing TDs (27) 2nd highest INTs (16) 16th in passer rating (91.5) He ranks #1 in total TDs (42) 3rd in QBR (68.2) His receivers rank 7th in drop percentage (5%) and number of drops (27). If more of his damage was done through the air I think he would’ve been the odds on MVP favorite. If he had put on a show these past two weeks against bottom feeders Chargers and Patriots, I think he could’ve wrapped up MVP with a win and a solid performance vs the Dolphins. As it is, the award is Lamar’s to lose. Josh has been too inconsistent and the numbers/eye test bear that out.
