  1. That’s to say Allen is exactly on Mahomes level, which I don’t think he is. I do think Allen would’ve won a SB as a Chief two seasons ago when he was red hot in the playoffs and they had Hill and Kelce, but I don’t think he wins it this year with the group Mahomes was throwing to. Pat elevated those scrubs and took his game to an even higher level in the SB. Give Mahomes his credit.
  2. I wonder how much Dawson Knox would’ve got in FA if he hadn’t been extended for $13M/yr. Does he get close to that amount? Or significantly less?
  3. He’s a beast of a WR when targeted, catches everything. But unlike Gronk he isn’t nearly as physical. He should do better than their last two FA TE acquisitions as far as being an offensive threat.
  4. I advocated for trading him when Lloyd was available at the Bills pick and grabbing him as a replacement and then getting a CB in the 2nd. A trade could’ve netted Elam or Pickens at the top of the 2nd, but I understand why it probably wasn’t a consideration given the expectations the team had. I’d be a more shrewd (cutthroat) GM though.
  5. Bernard probably looked slower than he timed because he wasn’t fully sure what he was doing. If he has a firm grasp of the playbook and can play without thinking, I think you’d see that athleticism start to pop on the screen.
  6. Chiefs are in a great position to run it back. Loads of draft picks, cap room, and rookies who received extensive playing time. Oh and not to mention the best QB in the game. The NFL is funny though, with all that going for them, luck is still a major factor and I bet they don’t repeat.
  7. He needs to get lucky and land another blue chip talent in the draft. A real difference maker. He’s only selected one such player to date.
  8. He’s always quick to blame others when he gets roasted too, looking around like “it wasn’t my fault!”
  9. If Bears fans were unhappy with Roquan, I can’t wait to hear their complaints about Edmunds.
  10. Oh yeah, because that’s applicable. Careful, don’t provide context or any perspective for the 6.70 time Tyreek ran. You’ll have the TBD trolls coming at you. Sad group some of them are.
  11. With the perceived step back the defense will take losing Po and Tremaine, AFCE Champs should be even more of an uphill battle, but the offseason is long. Let’s see how the Bills upgrade.
  12. I do 😄 Would never use the word “excellent” to describe Edmunds pass coverage ability and awareness. He was better this year than he has been, but his presence alone has never consistently stopped a good -> great QB from going anywhere he wants with the ball.
  13. So what? I wasn’t comparing him to the dudes he ran against. I put his 6.70 time into context which others appreciated.
  14. I don’t know who the guys are he’s racing against, but I’ll never forget what Marquis Goodwin said, who was a speed demon in his own right. He said that he always thought he was fast, but when he raced against legit track athletes he felt slow. He said as fast as he was, those guys are “on a whole nother level.” It’s scary the divide between guys like Marquis and Tyreek and guys like Usain and Asafah. And just for reference, Bolt’s split at 60 yards was a 6.32, which would’ve smoked Tyreek’s 6.70. Watch Christian Coleman’s 4.12 40 yard dash. 4.12 40 Yard Dash EDIT: Also for reference, Hill’s 6.7 60 yard dash would tie him for the 76th fastest guy in NCAA Division 1 track… this season. The fastest NCAA time this year is a 6.51, so he is at least in the neighborhood of collegiate fast, but not Olympic fast.
  15. We had an exec become a GM and a OC become a HC in the same year and we get nada. (And yes, I know the reasons why, but still seems unfair)
  16. I think Whaley’s scouts, both pro and draft, were better than Beane’s scouts. I don’t remember so many premium failures (high draft picks/costly FAs) under Whaley like Beane has had, but maybe that’s just recency bias. Beane got the one thing right that failed Whaley (QB).
  17. Demonstrably showing up Allen on the sidelines, bailing on his teammates early before being talked back into the locker room (only to again be the first one out), and now deleting the Bills from those he follows (still follows the Terapins I might add). Look, it’s his prerogative who he follows or doesn’t, I don’t care, but when the team is deliberately removed after some very public outbursts, you don’t consider any of it antics? Or were you unaware his behavior going back to the Bengals game and even in season when McD grabbed him on the sideline and had a heart to heart before letting him go to the bench?
  18. It’s a shame these antics couldn’t have started before signing the lucrative extension.
  19. Levi was and always has been a standup guy, so I’m not surprised he took the blame. With that said, the coverage on both offensive plays was horrendous. Essentially if Levi played up on Kelce, got his hands on him, whatever, you’d still be looking at single coverage on the Chiefs best or 2nd best weapon. Hill and Kelce should’ve been doubled both plays at a minimum.
  20. Perhaps he doesn’t play quick, but his lateral movement skills tested as “elite” for a player at his size and weight. His 6.74 3 cone in particular is freakish.
  21. The hilarious part was that I was thinking of doing the same thing, but also including a 3rd - Jason Statham. In a certain light he could pass as a scruffy McDermott.
