  1. No, that’s Andy Isabella. Unless someone said Sherfield isn’t making the team?
  2. What is he even doing on the Diggs catch? His zone looks to be the immediate middle of the field, yet he blocks his own man and takes himself out of the play. And because he blocked his own man, the other receiver would’ve been wide open too.
  3. “Once in awhile”? That was the best hit of his career, the first time I stood up and yelled “let’s go, Tremaine!” To my knowledge, watching every snap he’s played since he was drafted, he doesn’t have another prime time hit like that in his 5 year career.
  4. This joke has run its course, like the Patriots franchise post Tom Brady.
  5. Beane has burned quite a few picks trading up and the only one that has proven worth it is Josh. Dawson Knox is not what I would categorize a big payoff and it’s too early to determine for Kincaid.
  6. I remember when Turk Schonert was literally The Turk and had to tell players coach wanted to see them. I thought that’s where the name came from, didn’t realize it was league wide until years later.
  7. The Pro Bowl matters when it’s time to negotiate a new contract, agents will reference it. Aside from that, you’re right. It’s not indicative of a player’s talents, skill level, and positional value like it once was. The biggest laugher was Saffold and the Ravens backup QB, Huntley, making it last year. Doesn’t matter if they were alternates either, a pro bowl nod is a pro bowl nod.
  8. CHI had one of the worst defenses in the league last year, but it was nice for the O to get back on track.
  9. I’ll never understand why teams don’t take a 7th round flier on these sort of athletic prospects. I remember how everyone here was screaming to draft Jason Peters because he tested off the charts at his size. We were lucky to get him as an UDFA. If Beane is happy with his preseason tape, make room for this guy if he’s cut.
  10. Are those 10 mins or so of preseason action riskier than the 1,020 minutes of football all starters will play over a 17 game regular season?
  11. He’s got the size and speed, but the criticism at draft time was that he was more of an athlete than football player. MLB in general needs to be the most instinctual position on the defense and if he lacks that football IQ, he’s going to struggle there. Not sure how accomplished he is as a pass rusher, but a player of that size and athleticism should always have a spot somewhere.
  12. Simmons might not have worked out in Arizona, he seems like a position-less man, but it would’ve been nice to have that sort of speed available for the Bills defense. I would’ve made the move for a 7th, or even a 6th.
  13. I wanted Hodgins kept, but the Bills valued Kumerow’s ST ability more. Hodgins is a starter in NY, but I do agree it’s because the talent around him isn’t great. I see him ultimately being their 3rd-4th WR. He’s been in Daboll’s system for 4 years, so he knows it very well and was able to go off for 8 catches for 105 yds and a TD in their playoff win vs the Vikings. He doesn’t suck, like some here repeat over and over. Maybe Tyler Boyd is his ceiling?
  14. That’s certainly a glass half empty outlook 😅
  15. How ironic would it be if Isabella makes the team and starts to steal Harty’s reps? One was a FA signed almost immediately, the other was essentially out of the NFL, waiting for a call.
  16. The one thing I’d like is for the Bills to get faster. WR and TE are probably fine, but the most glaring lack of speed is in the secondary. And maybe on the edges at DE (without a healthy Von factored in). Dolphins have one of the fastest teams in the league.
  17. Bernard sure looks like a safety, doesn’t he? Also great to see Von with the pads on, although it looked like he was walking gingerly.
  18. He threw quite a few directly to defenders. I don’t expect that this season. You can live with the INTs on 50/50 balls, deflections/tips, 3rd and forevers, and Hail Marys, just don’t throw them in the red zone or to a different color jersey. His first step in cutting down on that is finding trust with this new OL.
  19. I reeaaaaallllllly wish McD would stop calling defensive TOs. His successful stop rate afterwards has to be abysmal.
  20. Breece Hall, Dalvin Cook, Michael Carter, and Izzy A. Will the Jets keep all 4? If they cut their 5th rounder Izzy, he probably won’t make the practice squad. We have the same questions about Shorter in a crowded WR room. Pretty wild. Quinnen Williams is pretty svelte for a 300+ pound DT. More solid and thick than fat, how you’d like to see all your trench players. #10, the rookie Buccaneer WR who smoked Gardner in the opening minutes, runs a 4.33. Guy can scoot. I still believe Gardner won’t replicate the same success he had his rookie year, the bar is too high. I think he’s more likely to slump. With that said, Jets absolutely knocked it out of the park with their 2022 draft and now Breece Lightning is back.
  21. This is what gets me. As an athlete growing up I never really watched what I ate, but I was always one of the “skinny” ones, it wasn’t a big deal. If I had made it to professional status, you best believe I would’ve been looking for any and all advantages I could get and that would include dieting and training better. As a 300+ pound athlete who doesn’t have the best body, I can’t understand how Dion doesn’t take it more seriously. He’s got the money security, sure, but just from a prideful standpoint, he should be asking himself “what’s the best way I can get the better of my competition?” and that starts with conditioning, not huffing and puffing like you ran a mile in the first quarter. I’m disappointed he’s never took care of himself that way, but what I think doesn’t matter. He just needs to start trending back up. Somehow, someway.
  22. Actually in Marino’s Locked On Bills podcast, he went in depth about the pressures Josh faced and said Spencer was only responsible for one pressure. Most of the blame for the pressure he placed on Allen for either running out of a clean pocket, dropping with too much depth, or holding onto the ball after a 7 step drop.
