  1. Nowhere near as far. Stroud’s TD pass would be more comparable to the bomb Allen hit to Davis against KC in the divisional game.
  2. I didn’t realize his usage had fallen off that much, especially to the bolded.
  3. No he didn’t. There seems to be a common denominator here, doesn’t it? The Dorsey offense averaged almost a full turnover more per game and had less of a commitment to the run game. The Brady offense has taken the ball out of Josh’s hands. Less turnovers, more rushing attempts, both by the QB and RBs. I don’t think either OC is to blame for the pass game execution because both have/had “NFL open” routes, but whether it’s a missed read, a bad ball, a bad drop, or protection issues, they haven’t been able to capitalize. It’s on the players first and foremost, no coordinator has “broken” the pass attack.
  4. Brady doesn’t throw the ball. Even Josh admitted the passes didn’t feel good spinning out of his hand against the Pats. He missed a few open TDs. He also played rather mediocre against the Chargers in another “gotta have it” game. All Brady can do is scheme up the offense and call the plays, it’s up to those on the field to capitalize on what’s available. And the offense has left plenty of points on the board.
  5. It was a bad ball to Kincaid anyway. Allen opted to throw short rather than put that thing around the 5 yard line. If Austin hadn’t spun back around and instead followed Sherfield, the DB covering Kincaid gets to make a play on the ball because it was short.
  6. Right now they’re the lovable losers, a franchise with likeable players starving for a trophy. If they can start cashing in and winning some championships, the hatred will rise with their level of success.
  7. Second in turnovers to Sam Howell, but yeah the argument is sound. If he’s going to have that many turnovers, he also needs to almost single-handedly be the reason the Bills beat teams. The irony is that our offense has looked better under Brady since the ball has been taken out of Josh’s hands. Pass game still looks uneven though, even with an improved commitment to the run game.
  8. Going into the last regular season game of the year, Allen ranks: 12th in completion percentage (65.6) 7th in yards (3,947) 11th in yds/att (7.3) 7th in passing TDs (27) 2nd highest INTs (16) 16th in passer rating (91.5) He ranks #1 in total TDs (42) 3rd in QBR (68.2) His receivers rank 7th in drop percentage (5%) and number of drops (27). If more of his damage was done through the air I think he would’ve been the odds on MVP favorite. If he had put on a show these past two weeks against bottom feeders Chargers and Patriots, I think he could’ve wrapped up MVP with a win and a solid performance vs the Dolphins. As it is, the award is Lamar’s to lose. Josh has been too inconsistent and the numbers/eye test bear that out.
  9. I’d argue he’s an upgrade in most ways to Tremaine. If Edmunds was manning the middle this year, his play would definitely be a drop off from Bernard’s.
  10. Too many inconsistent halves of football this year to be in the MVP race. There’s probably less than 5 games this year where Allen was hot from start to finish and was the primary reason his team won the game. Too many times this season we’ve said “run the ball more, throw less” yet the thought of taking the ball out of Josh’s hands would’ve been unfathomable going into this year. Of course the struggles haven’t been all his fault and even though he has great stats, he hasn’t been a Michael Jordan type of player who consistently rises to the occasion despite failures by his teammates to elevate their level of play. He’s just been a piece of the offense, who also makes critical errors and mistakes but also leads the league in TDs with a great assist to his legs. I don’t know if Allen will ever win league MVP but that’s not what I care about. Super Bowl MVP would be 1000x greater.
  11. Allen was off for much of the Chargers game as well. Believe it was Kubiak in the BN that had broken down the reasons for it. He’s not playing MVP level football that’s for sure. He’s playing like a middle of the road QB and has more of those games this year than superstar play.
  12. I don’t see KC finishing worse than the AFC South winner, so if Miami beats the Ravens, we’d be all but assured #6 BUF at #3 KC in the wildcard round of the playoffs. After beating KC we’d likely have to go to #1 BAL unless the 7th seed pulls an upset over the 2. A lot of scenarios still exist so it’s not really worth getting into now, but BUF at KC is shaping up as our most likely matchup.
  13. Two of the other dominant OLines - Eagles and Lions - can say the same. It’s just a week to week matchup league, no OLine is a complete wall game after game.
  14. Melvin Ingram and Chris Jones are the other two who always seem to play very well against the Bills.
  15. Kincaid: “Oh we got hands (team)” Knox: “You’ve got hands (team) now, I don’t.” At least Knox was able to laugh off getting replaced on the hands team 😅 And yes, I know it was likely because of his injury, but I’d be surprised if they switch the two out moving forward.
  16. The fact we beat KC in KC despite not playing particularly well for 2.5 quarters was extremely encouraging. The very next week they played well all four and stomped a SB contender. Biggest test and obstacle for the Bills is… the Bills.
  17. Any sort of evaluation before he steps on the field is a guess. His legs still work plenty fine, so no one can say definitively that he won’t be at least 80% of what he was. He’s fully healed, the question is how much strength has returned to the pec? Only DJ knows how he feels.
  18. I imagine packages with both Jones and Joseph in the middle on obvious running downs. If Daquan could be somewhat close to his old self, that’s a tough one to run against.
  19. Randy ran in the 4.2s! He had just as much straight line speed as Tyreek, just wasn’t as shifty. Of course you trade that shiftiness in for size and catch radius, which made him arguably the most feared WR the game has ever seen.
  20. Skip Bayless Twitter/X feed is hilarious. Typical “the sky is falling” fandom.
  21. He hasn’t made his typical Micah Hyde plays this year and with yet another neck issue it’s probably smart for him to call it a career. Wouldn’t be surprised if the Bills are starting two new safeties next year.
  22. I was thinking this has to be the most “unclutch” talented Bills team I could remember.
  23. Yeah I don’t think Gabe’s covered nearly every route he runs, but for whatever reason he and Josh just don’t jive. I remember in TC Josh saying Kincaid was “fun to throw to” and “gives good body language.” I’ve never heard him say something similar about Davis. Josh just doesn’t have the same trust in him and Gabe only reinforces that distrust when seemingly the highest percentage of Allen’s INTs are in his direction.
  24. I thought Joe Buck and Troy Aikman are the most subdued announcers, both boring. Michaels at least has interesting things to say from time to time and has some voice inflection for certain calls, unlike the aforementioned boring duo. If NBC wants excitement, bring back Gus Johnson.
