If the Texans player had ZERO intentions of returning the ball, then he should’ve just let it hit the end zone, automatic touchback. If he turned on the Jets after taking those two steps and managed to get past a sleeping Bills return team, there’s nothing none of us could say about it because he never gave himself up as spelled out in the rules. I guess Devin Hester’s play here should’ve been blown dead as well if the refs are allowed to judge “intent”: Hester Returns FG Attempt

Well, if the two QBs were switched and all other variables remained the same, I would expect Watson to vastly outperform Allen, not only because his OL would be better, but mainly because his talents would be going against a much inferior defense. Does anyone truly believe Allen would be capable of Watson’s performance if he went against that Buffalo defense with a shabby Houston OL? A Houston Texans team QB by Josh Allen all season doesn’t make the playoffs IMO.

Terrible decision to punt on 4th and 4 from the 36 yard line. Are they trying to win??

I’d like a way to congratulate the team on a fun season, but showing up at the airport to celebrate after they choke away the biggest game of the year isn’t a good look in my opinion.

Duke today, did the bad outweigh the good?

Does anyone have a replay of the pass in the end zone? I didn’t think it was a drop, I thought it was a bad adjustment to the ball. Someone else said his left arm was being grabbed. I think it was just misplayed. -
Josh makes hard throws, misses easy ones

Allen is what he is... an extremely flawed QB who has the tools, desire, and work ethic to improve. I LOVE that he’s introspective and takes ownership when the offense sputters. I’d be more worried if he was “Tyrod like” and assessed the blame to “we” rather than “I”. Right now I don’t see him as a perennial “Super Bowl quality QB,” or future league MVP and last night I said we need to keep trying until we find that guy. With that said, I do believe he has what it takes to correct most of what ails him, so although he frustrates the hell outta me at times - mostly for not being at the level of the QBs we passed over - I’m gonna continue to ride with him. Here’s to hoping he gets it figured out and makes another jump in year 3. Go Bills! -
Week 14: Around the League

Haven’t read this thread, has anyone mentioned Drew Lock rolled out of bed and threw for more than 300? And a bunch of TDs? -
What nickname do you like best for Josh Allen?

“The Shark” (as in Great White) ? -
Contain the edges, muck up the middle and take away Lamar’s intermediate options over the middle of the field. That’s how you stop the Ravens, but it’s asking a lot. When the RPO isn’t as effective, they’re far less impressive running a traditional offense.

I might have turned the game off if it was upheld. A hit in-bounds that wasn’t overly malicious is in no way shape or form a personal foul, regardless if it’s a QB is carrying the ball.

Week 13 Around the League Thread

I want “roughing the passer” calls to return to how they were officiated under Tagliabue. The ticky tack calls being made today are insufferable. -

Allen is trending in the right direction, but he’s not on Lamar’s MVP level. Hope he can eventually get there! -
[Incomplete Title] Did Corey Liuget have any snaps in
Brand J replied to FLBillsGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ve been pretty vocal about my contempt for Star, but lately he’s playing like the early Carolina version rather than the JAG who averages less than a tackle per game; the one who was losing snaps to Harrison Phillips. He’s turned it on the past couple of weeks, effort seems much greater. Don’t know what happened behind the scenes, but I hope he continues the relentless hustle he’s shown lately. The team needs it.
