  1. Rum runners...come to think of it, basically any fruity colorful umbrella drink/boat drink that has rum in it.
  2. Yeah i am pulling for Ponder. I think he'll do really good. Maybe not right off the bat, but i think with his brains, he's got a long career ahead of him. As for "winning destroys the franchise," we had a poster back here in about 2006 who was arguing (in all seriousness) that the Bills winning games was hurting the team because we wouldn't be able to draft a top QB the next year. That QB? Brady Quinn. The poaster actually said that "winning is destroying the Bills franchise."
  3. Ozzy is an idiot. After Rob+Amber, you can't have your little love interest and be paired off all the time, especially when you're doing nothing. They always vote your girlfriend off, and then go after you. I like that Whitney had enough in her to pull the switch, and i like her tactics. Numerous times pervisouly, someone could alter the vote by essentially tossing their vote away (as Whitney and Ashton did last night), but not technically going against their alliance. I'm still rooting for Mikayla and Coach from blue, and Whitney and Jim from red.
  4. Winning destroys the franchise
  5. I still wonder if the SEC and ACC sit at 14 (an odd alignment/scheduling number) or move on to 16. I dont know why Auburn is in a hurry to move east. As Cynical said, these things are cyclical, and before too long, i agree that UF and Tenn will be back. UGA can also make a quick turn-around is they get rid of Richt, who's program has become stale up there in Athens. The Big XII will add 2 more, but Mack Brown and Bob Stoops are whining about staying at 10, because they don't want a championship game. Nothing lke being a chickenshit program too afraid to play in a title game because it may "hurt your chances at the NC." Its reasons like this that i hope a team winning a conference title game jumps the Big XII champ in the BCS at the end of the year.
  6. They still have Mike Brown running the show, limited scouts/scouting capabilites and Marvin Lewis running the show. Unless any or all of those 3 things change, the best cincy will do is a 1-and-done in the playoffs. It sure as hell does if the Raiders make the playoffs this year. And it sets them up well for the next 4-5 years.
  7. Good post. QBs and linemen (on both sides) can play well into their late 30s and do it at a high level. Positions that rely on pure athleticism, like RB, WR, and CB, are the positions that you start seeing the big drop offs as a player gets into his 30s.
  8. I was going to say the same thing. We'll see how Palmer plays given that he'll actually have a huge threat of a running game and some pretty good young WRs to run an offense with, and NOT a career criminal at RB and 2 aging malcontents at WR.
  9. And what does your asinine comment about Spiller as a punt returner have anything to with "CJ Spiller at WR?" Take your anti-Spiller asshattery elsewhere while the adults are trying to have a discussion.
  10. And this what effect on his ability to play WR?
  11. Its very simple. Excellent playcall. Piss poor execution. Stevie was open, and last time i checked, a QB was supposed to throw to open WRs, especially ones that are open for a TD. Fitz just made a bad pass. In that same situation, with the same coverage, i hope Chan calls that play 100/100 times and i hope Fitzy throws the ball to Stevie 100/100 times.
  12. I can't stand him, but mostly because of the ridiculous hype surrounding him. (and because of the obvious reasons) He was a hell of a college QB, no question about that. One of the greats to play the game. However, all personal feelings and collegiate allegiances aside, i see very little in his game as a QB that will translate to long term sustained success at the NFL level. NFL is completely different than college. The stuff he got away with at UF he won't be able to get away with against NFL defenders. I'm guessing he'll do good for a stretch, and then once D-coordinators have the book on him, they'll have no problems stopping him.
  13. +1 I use suntrust for my everyday purposes (bill pay, etc), but savings (and atm usage) is all through ING direct.
  14. That you patrick moran?

  16. You don't want anything to do with Jacory Harris. He's the human turnover machine.
  17. More highlights of tebow... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIfKSyv5OTo
  18. The bolded line shows why the tebow fan boys are completely obnoxious and aren't taken seriously. They simply cannot see the flip side of the coin and comprehend that their savior might not have what it takes to be a good NFL QB.
  19. I don't know much about, or the validity of, the host site, but here's an article on a potential error in measuring the speed of the neutrinos. http://www.livescience.com/16506-einstein-theory-put-brakes-faster-light-neutrinos.html If you don't want to read the article, it says a potential source of error is that minor gravity differences affect time measurements in different locations. If the differences weren't properly accounted for, the time error may be the reason why the neutrinos appeared to travel faster than light.
  20. Aside from coach and jim, this has got to be the biggest band of retards ever assembled on survivor. (and that's saying a lot, given the morons last year). I really wish they'd go back to actually having auditions and casting a wide variety of people from all ages and all walks of life. This making half the contestants frat boys and sorority girls gets really old. Turns the show into the "real world." As for the players: I'm rooting for coach. i love the guy, he's hilarious, and smart, and seems to be playing the game much smarter now. Brandon is an idiot. He needs to go asap. Ozzy has turned into a frickin weirdo. He was cool his first 2 turns on the game, and now he's this weird pot head. Mikayla is hot. And she kicks ass in challenges. Jim is the only other survivor worth a damn. The nerdy kid is neurotic, but it'd be fun to see if he could flip the game on ozzy.
  21. The best thing for everyone involved would be for the flutie fanboys and the tebag ball-washers to get into a deathmatch in which no one survives.
  22. The most faulty premise of this thread and discussion is that the Bills turnovers are based on luck. They aren't. They seem to be employing a defense to go for the turnover, go for the ball, take the ball away. That isn't luck.
  23. Reason 21: We only have one 1st round pick on our OL. If you don't have 4-5 1st round picks on the line, you OL will suck.
  24. tebag was a great college QB, there's no denying that. But, that means (in the words of Jim Mora) diddley poo when it comes to the NFL. tebag has horriffic mechanics, an elongated throwing motion, and limited accuracy. None of his skills translate to the NFL game, which is why he'll fail. He'll probably make some highlight reel plays along the way, but no team will have sustained success with him at QB.
