  1. No love for Spiller for his great downfield blocking on Freddie's long runs?
  2. Chase your wine with a shot of NyQuil. That'll fix the BP problem.
  3. The Bills are 4-2, and like 90% fo the teams in the league, have their strong suits and their weaknesses. GB is about the only complete team in the NFL right now. Yes, the defense needs to get better, but if we keep winning while working on the defense, that's a good thing, no? And of course it took a thread like this to get BillsVet out from under his rock. Hand't seen him around here much with all the winning we've been doing.
  4. Jill Flipovic apparently found out that some TSA agents had taken a liking to a "personal" item packed in a suitcase, and felt the need to offer their own encouragement for her activities. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2053074/Jill-Flipovic-US-airport-TSA-staff-leave-lewd-note-sex-toy-bag.html
  5. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/33102/the-myth-and-legend-of-tim-tebow Here's a good read. I don't hate tim tebow the person. That's childish. I DO actively root against him as a football player, which is a product of him being a gator (30%), and the ridiculous, undeserved hype that surrounds him (70%). Note: i dont root against all gators in the NFL. I love David Nelson, and i like Percy Harvin, even though i couldn't stand him in college because he always torched us. Thats why i specified most of my dislike for him comes due to his hype. I don't get the hype. He was an amazing COLLEGE player, but he's done nothing to convince me he'll have any kind of sustained success at the NFL level. I understand why there's so much hype surrounding Luck. But not tebow. And the mere fact that denver's backup QB has generated a 17 page thread on a Bills message board is pathetic. Maybe you can explain the 13-year-old girl-like devotion some posters have to him?
  6. One major problem for the Colts is that Jim Caldwell might be the worst coach in the entire league (he's battling it out with tony sparano). He's absolute garbage, and the colts almost deserve this one, because his "hire" was nothing more than blatant cronyism by tony dungy.
  7. Agreed. There's always lots of complaints about that, and its an issue they've never fixed. Other DBs automatically know who you are throwing to and move toward them. I've thrown 20-25 yard passes where there's 4 players to your WR before the ball gets there. Another thing i hate is how the DBs "jump" the pass patterns by running towards the LOS. Say you've got a guy running a 10 yard out, who's got the DB beat by 3-4 steps. The DB will run towards the LOS when you pass, and deflect the ball halfway in its trajectory to the WR. This is a physical impossibility in real life. I'll give madden credit for fixing some gameplay issues (like OL play and no more suction-blocks), but pass coverage still needs a lot work.
  8. You want to know why there's no one blasting or over analyzing Palmer or Whitehurst? Because i don't see a thread labeled WHITEHURST!!! or PALMER!!! irrationally extolling all of their supposed football virtues despite mounds of evidence to the contrary. what inspired me was when tebow WILLED the strip/sack of Matt Moore. I daresay that if tebow wasn't on the sidelines, the rusher probably gets pancaked by the OL across from him.
  9. Running is a lot easier this year. The lines seem to hold their blocks. I've found Freddie to be a terror out of the backfield. One frustrating thing about the passing game is the number of times i'll get a ball knocked down by the "Super-human LB leap", where the LB 10 yards in front of a WR jumps up ridiculously high to bat the ball out fo the air, on what should be a completion into a soft spot in the zone. Edit: i also have a bit of an issue where the opposing QB just lobs a rainbow pass some 15 yards away from a covered WR, and the WR breaks coverage and runs directly to the ball.
  10. I for one hope tebow continues to play like he did yesterday. Because against 30 other teams (not the Colts), the broncos would have been down about 42-0 by the 4th quarter, mainly due to his horrific "QB" play. Yesterday he showed nothing more than he's a RB who can once in a while throw the ball.
  11. They're notoriously cheap.
  12. The NFL is turning into MLB with its primetime display of 4-5 select teams every season. You'd think they'd learn their lesson seeing how different teams are always moving up and down year in and year out.
  13. Its because tebag breathed on the ball just prior to the kick.
  14. Don't forget that there's still an unbeaten Stanford in the mix. As well as K-state. I don't care how you look at it, no undefeated AQ school should be shafted out of the NC game for a patsy like boise.
  15. Yeah, because i'm totally incapable of judging a player's on field NFL talents because of what school they came from. Even if he came from FSU, he'd still suck as an NFL QB. Apparently my blind, irrational hatred is causing others to see he has horrible mechanics and can't throw a spiral.
  16. Prediction: when the broncos beat the hapless fins today, the tebow nut lickers in this thread will go crazy and start bronzing his bust for canton. Prediction #2: After the NFL gets a few games of film on tebow, he will become an ineffective player who's hype is much greater than performance, much like a midget who played in buffalo a dozen years ago.
  17. And that right there is the common thread between Tampa and London. Fans on both sides of the pond can unite and despise the Glazers. They are hated in Tampa and by every Tampa fan. They're a big reason why Tampa doesn't sell out, despite having one of the youngest, most talented teams in the NFL.
  18. Are you guys projecting FSU DE BRandon Jenkins as a 4-3 DE or a 3-4 rush OLB? He really could go either way, since he goes about 6'3" and 265 lbs. Also, where are you projecting him?
  19. 10 million per season IS second tier QB money.
  20. At one point when i was a kid, my zubaz were dirty and ripped so i cut them off to make shorts.
  21. I wouldn't call a bushwacker a girlie drink. Those things are damn good.
  22. I've got a 42" LCD that i got 1.5 years ago. Thusfar, for the price i paid, i like it and its done me well. The picture quality is pretty damn good, and there's really nothing bad i can say about it.
  23. FFitz has shown consistent improvement in each of the years he's been here in buffalo. Not coincidentally, the improvement has been hand-in-hand with a)more playing time, and b)a new coach that can call a game to the strengths of our players. Anyone without an agenda would say that Fitz's play has been steadily improving, and he's one of the better QBs in the NFL. Since he became starter last season, in 19 games, Fitz has tossed 35 TDs, almost 4500 yards, and completed 60.5% of his passes. You don't award contracts based on a handful of good or bad games. You award them based on consistency over a time pperiod. And Fitz has shown how good he is over a 19 game span since he's been the starter.
  24. So 19 good games as a starter isn't enough to determine how much to pay him, but 22 will be? I don't understand what watching 3 more weeks will tell you.
  25. You're trying to reason with Bill here, someone who believes that every draft pick/signing that isn't a guy over 300 lbs is a "dumb" move.
