  1. We're all just speculating. I'm simply speculating based on the knowledge out there, which is that these things happen at basically all universities, and Clemson, despite being a middle tier school in a so-so conference, with a nobody as coach, somehow manages to pull in top recruits all the time.
  2. If its not that difficult to go for 1000 yards receiving in consecutive years, why have only 9 WRs done it in the past 2 years?
  3. Anyone that thinks that improprieties do NOT occur at basically every university with a big time Division I sports program is severely delusional and needs to take their head out of the sand. It's not a matter of IF it occurs, its a matter of the EXTENT to which it occurs.
  4. If any player gets a 1st round grade by the NFL draft committee and returns to school they are a moron. You can always go back to school and finish your degree. You onyl get a limited window to earn millions of dollars and set yourself and family up for life. FSU's Jimbo Fisher has said that if any of his players tell him they've gotten a 1st round grade from the committee, he'll tell them to get the hell out of Tallahassee and go to the NFL.
  5. For arguements sake, and those falsely saying that stevie is nothing more than a #2, Stevie is 1 of only 9 WRs to rack 1,000 yards in the past 2 seasons. The others: Megatron, Fitzgerald, White, Wallace, Bowe, Nicks, Colston, and Marshall. Not too shabby
  6. That comparison is so inaccurate its laughable. RG3 is nothing like Newton. He's a pass first QB that is much more accurate than Newton. Griffin will run necessary, but he's not a one-read and take off QB like Newton is/was.
  7. Not too shabby.
  8. +1 Everything i have heard indiates that it would be nearly impossible for the Jets to move Holmes in the first 3 years of his deal, due to cap issues. He's just finishing up year 1.
  9. I like Fisher. He's a good solid coach. But there's something to be said about a coach who only puts his team in the playoffs 1 in 3 years on average.
  10. To me, it sounds as if the Bills have sent their #1 shill to start thr negative PR campaign against Stevie, since they have no plans of re-signing him.
  11. I've always wondered myself how a middling team in a sub-par BCS conference always pulls in top recruits year after year.
  12. The problem with the Colts was that their coaching staff this season was historically bad. Peyton was their OC, so they lost both a top-notch QB and a top-notch OC when he got hurt. There's talent on that team, but the coaches are too dumb to make anything of it. The biggest problem in Indy was Jim Caldwell. What exactly did he do to deserve a coaching job besides be Tony Dungy's little butt buddy? His hire was one of the biggest examples of blatant cronyism i've ever seen. Caldwell might be one of the worst coaches in history. He's rich kotite bad.
  13. The problem i have with the Bills not running more is not the general philosophy, but more of the in game scnario. In both the Miami and Tennessee games, we were running the ball extremely well, and yet, Chan abandoned the running game despite being down by only a score most of those games. In those games, lack of running the ball did directly cost us the win.
  14. Well thats fine then. However, i always got the feeling that since TD left, the Bills war room has ben run by a consensus approach. Hopefully that will change under Whaley. I don't mind coaches/scouts/etc all having valuable input, but ultimately there should be one voice picking up the phone and calling NY. (of course, this has been the case, but the problem has been that the one voice was ralphie's) My biggest hope with Whaley is that he's more willing to do some wheeling and dealing on draft day. I'm not saying trade for the sake of trading like belicheat does, but there are plenty of times when a trade up or down could prove to be very resourceful.
  15. Because after the draft is the end of the scouting year. Its not as if he's all of a sudden going to stop working. He has no axe to grind with Ralph.
  16. Well, i was so damn busy during december and the holidays, so i finally watched the last few eps of this season, and here are some thoughts on the ending and this thread. 1. Ozzy is a douchebag. He was cool on the previous seasons, but this time, he was an asswipe. I'm glad Sophie beat him in the last challenge, because the mental midgets of ozzy's old tribe would have voted for him to win. 2. I hope redemption island is done for and never comes back. I'm ok with giving someone from early on a new chance (like at the merge), but this whole do nothing and advance to the final 5 is bogus. It eliminates any social part of the game, not to mention it frees a person from the lunacy of tribal council. 3. Cochran made a good move when he did. His old tribe of bumbling idiots hated him and treated him like crap, so i was glad to see him turn on those guys. That was his onyl choice, as his old tribe would have gotten rid of him ASAP. 4. Whitney is a dirty c*nt. It was funny to see her squirm during the reunion, as she realized how much of a B word she was to cochran and tried to make up for it and do damage control. So we now know shes a terrible survivor player, to go along with being a terrible wife and terrible singer. ps - she onyl got pissy at sophie during the final tribal because sophie is smart and whitney's dumb as a rock. 5. Coach is still awesome. At one point, every single person in the game thought they were going to the final 2 or 3 with coach. thats the way to play. Also, the boston rob season was aired last spring, and this season didnt film until june-july, so the contestants would have seen what happened with Rob. Spring contestants are the ones that miss the fall season. 6. The preaching and God-ness of this season was really over the top and annoyed me. I dont mind it, but it was literally ALL the time. 7. I too hate how the jury gets all butt hurt because they got voted off. They are pissy because they have no chance at the million. Its nothing more than sour grapes. The good part is that we get to see people make an ass out of themselves. 8. Looking forward to next season!
  17. Seems to me that the book is out on tebow. Rush him, harass him, contain him, and make him beat you with his arm. Then he throws about 40% completion rate and will turn the ball over 2-3 times. Pittsburgh's defense should have no problem with this. He's going to end up just like flutie. great off the bench as a changeup for a couple of games, but then his effectiveness will decrease to 0.
  18. timtebow...leading his team to more than 18 points in 3 of 10 starts! Pittsburg's defense is going to be salivating at the thought of getting tebow next week. Its like a 3rd bye in the AFC.
  19. If i had to wager right now, on our #1 pick, and what our "brain trust" will do, i'd say its going to be WR Alshon Jeffrey. Blackmon will be gone.
  20. Sweet. Lets burn the #9 pick on a WR! Its not like we have more pressing needs. Who needs linemen or defense?
  21. As another thought, if Stevie tweeted that he might get fined, he probably thought he'd just get fined for the shirt and NOT get a penalty. Lots of things in the NFL aren't called for any type of penalty but result in mid-week fines.
  22. Ocho and TO were both well into their 30s, not 25 and just entering their prime.
  23. God only knows what kind of diseases and nastiness she has now after banging Russel Brand.
