  1. Sadly, we're not players for Griffin. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/3/1/2835452/buffalo-bills-are-not-in-on-robert-griffin-iii-per-buddy-nix This attitude is stupid and short-sighted. I wonder how much attitudes will change by April when the bean counters realize that only 142 people signed up for 2012 season tickets.
  2. From what i heard, the current most likely scenario has Pitt and 'Cuse playing ACC football in 2013. I don't know about basketball yet, but they may join for the '12-13 season.
  3. Per someone on twitter, and its completely rumor, the jets were mentioned as a team interested in Griffin. And frankly, that franchise has the balls to give up 3 #1's to go get him.
  4. Along with the changes drivers are ajdusting to, the "fast ones" meaning Daytona and Talledega feature pack racing. So when 1 car goes, a bunch go and there's a long delay to clean up. At the 1.5 mile tracks, the cars spread out much more and there's less of the threat of "the big one."
  5. That was my point. Sure, if a player has certain bad measurables, then that could be a red flag. But how often is a player required to run 40 yards in a straight line, or perform a standing long jump during a game. I'll take on-field performance anyday over the underwear olympics.
  6. You guys would have loved Mike Mamula too.
  7. The point is, youtube and a Tivo'ed game don't count as scouting "video." Also, no person watching clips and Tivo'ed games knows what any player's given assignment is on any given play. Amateur "scouting" is nothing more than a mere hobby. I've talked with scouts for both professional football and baseball down here at FSU. The typical "scouting fan" doesn't even pay attention to 95% of the things they (scouts) are looking for.
  8. Dude! I most definitely watched McKelvin play in college. It wasn't an all-star game either. Troy played at FSU when leodis was there.
  9. Datko has the dreaded p-word, but thats about it. He was a very goot tackle down here for multiple years...when he could stay healthy. The problem is, he can't. He was plauged by injuries almost his entire time here at FSU. At the high-end, he could be a Jonas Jennings type. An above average OT who has problems staying on the field for more than 8-10 games per season.
  10. I hope they don't mix up the tribes. The women deserve to get slaughtered out of the game. That immunity challenge was tailor-made for them to win, but they (kat) were too stupid to figure it out. I'm shocked at how Kat has managed to simply survive day-to-day life for 20 something years. I hope she's actually honestly retarded or has a severe learning disability at the least, because no one can be that stupid. As my friend woudl say, her sole purpose as a human is simply to function as life support for a vagina. She has no worth doing anything else. (And she's not even that attractive)
  11. The Oscars themselves are old and tired. Nothing about the awards show, from Billy Crystal to 99% of the "winners" was inspired.
  12. I'm just looking forward to Gollum screaming "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" when he loses the ring.
  13. If no one is worth it at #10, why is someone going to give up draft picks to trade up to #10?
  14. Casserly really needs to get In touch with reality with current WR salaries. He's delusional if he thinks none of those guys are getting 8 million. And, the top WRs make in the 12-14 million per season range. Also, based on his criteria, there's 2 or 3 #1 WRs in the entire league.
  15. Jeffery came in at 6'3", not significantly taller than some of the other WRs on the board, like Randle, Floyd, etc.
  16. $3.66 here in tallahassee. Up from $3.09 at christmas time.
  17. Blackmon could easily fall to #10. The WRs that go at the very top of the draft are the physical freaks. I think Blackmon is gonna be good, but he's not the typical 6'4" 4.3 40 guy that gets dafted in the top 3-4 picks.
  18. I wouldn't be surprised to see a WR or OT go at #10. Or Upshaw.
  19. IIRC, Eli has the best playoff road winning %, or most road playoff wins in NFL history.
  20. Stevie will make a lot more than 9.4 million guaranteed on a new long term deal. Thats essentially why players hate the tag. They'd make more guaranteed on a longer deal than playing 1 year under the tag.
  21. I think you're off on a few points. First off, No one knows how many WRs are going to hit the open market. Wallace is a RFA, so he'll require someone to forfeit a 1st round pick. I highly doubt Welker sees free agency either. NE* will keep him. There's also a legit shot that the chiefs use the franchise tag on Bowe to keep him around. they've mentioned it. Colston and V-Jax seems to be the only "sure" bets to hit free agency along with Stevie. Fewer players will drive prices up. Also, you're off on your salaries. Look at the per year salary averages for WRs. Fitzgerald makes $14 million per year. Andre Johnon is 12 million. Santonio Holmes is 10 million annually. Brandon Marshall makes 10 million. Calvin Johnson in going into the last year of his rookie deal (11 million per), and they are working on an extension that will probably come in at 13-15 million per season. Given those numbers, it seems to be an easy bet that Stevie will come in at 8-9 million per year at the low end.
  22. Good point on the gift card. The spa i've purchased gift certificates from always gets my name as the purchaser, and asks me to give the name of who will be using it.
  23. Regardless of how much they disagree on his value per year (6 or 10 million), he's obviously going to get more than 9 million guaranteed from anyone. So it only makes sense to franchise him (if they don't re-sign him prior to FA) and try to work out a long term deal, as opposed to letting him walk for nothing.
  24. Stevie is going to get at least 8-9 million per season on the open market. May as well be the Bills paying it to keep him. But it's a fool's errand to think Stevie is going to have to settle for 5-6 million per season.
  25. My roommie had it in our dorm room.
