  1. Its an immature, childish tactic. It was hilarious that the fins got burned by their own coach's asinine decision.
  2. She's a bad reporter, and ugly to boot. If you think she's hot, you really need to get out of buffalo once in a while.
  3. The fruit of belicheat's* coaching tree is downright rotten. none of those guys go on to accomplish anything of any consequence. You take away the illegal filming and stealing signals, and all of a sudden these guys are no good.
  4. I'll give Bill his props. He fessed up and gave appropriate credit to both Spiller and McKelvin.
  5. Someone correct me if i am wrong, but ANY injury under 2 minutes (of the half/game) should be a charged timeout, correct? There have been 3 times in the first 2 weeks i've seen officials claim there is no charged timeout for an injury at that point because the clock was stopped. Also, there was a horrendous non-catch call in the NYG-TB game at the end. Freeman hit Williams down the sidelines, he got 2 feet in bounds, had the ball, and was turning to run. He got popped out of bounds, and the ball came out. they ruled it incomplete. In what circle of hell is that not a completion? At worst, it should have been a catch-and-a-fumble, but no way that's incomplete. The refs said he didn't go to the ground with the ball, so that's why it was incomplete. As far as i can tell, the WR and the ball must have a common-law marriage before it is to be ruled a completed pass.
  6. With Mckelvin returning the punt for a TD and Spiller running wild, you know that game was a painful one to watch for him. In true billfromnyc fashion, he'll probably just ignore both of them in his post game "analysis."
  7. I've had virgin mobile for 6 months now, and love it. $45 a month for 1200 minutes, unlimited texting, and 2.5 GB data use before its throttled. The network isn't the greatest, but if you spend the majority of your time in a reasonably populated area you'll be alright. It suits me just fine. Speed wise i dont have an issue with it.
  8. Its Cantonment, FL. Its 30 mins from my girlfriend's parents house. This is par for the course out that way.
  9. Yes, but there wasn't much to be gleaned from that game. Wake put up the same amount of fight as Savannah St last week. But only lost 52-0, not 55-0. Wake did nothing on offense. Werner looked as expected, and had a couple of sacks. He got blatantly held on ~60% of the plays. Our entire DL spent most of the day in wake's backfield. EJ looked ok. Not great. The OL didn't pass block terribly well. He had no rhythm in the first half because we ran the ball extremely well and didn't throw much. He had 3-4 WR dropped passes, but could have had another TD or 2 where he overthrew the WRs. Both plays were roughly a 25 yard pass through the air. One a wheel route and the other a smash route. And both times he floated the ball instead of just putting it in there to the open WR. He's got the arm strength, but why he floats the deeper passes is beyond me. He looked very strong in the short passing and running game however. On his 1 TD pass, he spun out of a sack, scrambled to the sidelines and hit a wide open WR in the endzone. Good effort to keep the play alive.
  10. You claimed you were the fan of an individual player and NOT the team, hence why i brought up the pro-Spiller argument due to his individual performance. You didn't miss much from a team perspective. You missed a TON with regards to Spiller's play and development.
  11. If you think Spiller hasn't been consistent, then you obviously missed the final 6 games last season when freddie was hurt.
  12. http://www.nikeinc.c...lite-51-uniform From everything i've read, the flywire collar is supposed to hold tight against the chest plate and not allow the jersey to stretch, making it tougher for someone to grab a hold of your jersey. As for the colors, it's simple. For whatever reason, the flywire has to be the color of the primary jersey color. If you want your collar to be the same color as the jersey, there's no issues. But, the "polo shirt" effect comes into play for all teams that typically have/had a secondary colored collar. The bills kept their 3 stripe collar from last year, but in the design transition, it resulted in the stupidly wide white stripe, and tiny blue/red stripes. That's Nike's fault, not the Bills. I have no idea why Nike couldn't make the flywire part of the collar a different color that the jersey. If they could, we wouldn't have the stupid polo shirt look. Some teams, like the pats* and packers, aren't using the flywire collar, hence the reason their collars look normal.
  13. Agreed. Short of having a Rogers/Brady/Stafford, etc, if there's a top QB available, you take him. It'll be fun to see how these lists and opinions change as the season progress. I haven't seen much of Geno Smith, so i'll have to take a look at him when i get a chance.
  14. Blech. Gag me on Mike Glennon. The kid is terrible. I've seen him play, and he folds like a lawn chair against any tough defense. He's the classic case of a "numbers" guy who puts up stats against inferior opponents and then shats the bed against quality teams. And i'll pass on Logan Thomas too. The kid just doesn't have what it takes at the NFL level. I simply don't trust him.
  15. I'll add some thoughts on EJ Manuel. Good kid, going into his 5th year with FSU. He's got the good numbers, he's got the measureables and the requisite skills. He's big, can move and run with the ball, and has the ability to make all the throws. But he needs to put it all together, make some better decisions, etc. He looked good in spot starting duty for Ponder during his RS fresh/soph seasons, leading us to bowl wins in both. Last season, he looked inconsistent. Even thought his completion % is high (Jimbo runs a lot of short passing plays here), his accuracy wasn't always the best on deeper throws. There were times when he needed to step up and didn't quite do it, and then other times, like the bowl game against ND, where he played most of the game on the broken leg, and was extremely clutch in leading us on a few 4th quarter scoring drives to pull out the win. He played like a champ there. Something to keep in mind also is that he was banged up a lot of last year, and FSUs offensive line was horrible. He has very little time in the pocket, and virtually no rushing attack to speak of. One thing i will say about Manuel, is that he's right at the same point career wise in Jimbo's offense (~20 starts) that Christian Ponder was when the "light went on" for Ponder. Ponder was amazing after that point. Lots of us here think that the ND game may have been the "light going on" game for EJ. If it did, we could see EJ get taken in the first round or 2 next spring. If he continues along his current career path, he'll be a 4th-5t round prospect.
  16. Fwiw, i thought the Bills didn't want to wait on Frasier after the '09 season. That was when the Vikes advanced to the NFC championship, and for whatever reason, the Bills didn't want to wait until Frasier became available. The talent identification is a problem, specifically relating to retaining/drafting. Far too often, the Bills have created their own holes on the roster, thus forcing themselves into burning picks on replacements. Just a few examples: After 2005, the Bills inexplicably cut a still productive Lawyer Milloy, forcing themselves to take Whitner at #8. They could have kept Milloy, used #8 on something else, and grabbed a safety later on to (attempt to) develop. After '06, the Bills cut a "too old" London Fletcher and pissed away a few picks on the great white hope, Poz. Could have kept Fletcher, and had a free second and 3rd rounder to use elsewhere. In '07/'08, it was the same situation with Greer. The simplest task would have been to re-sign Greer, and then not had to piss away a pick on McKelvin. And this is before we even get into merry-go-round of RBs. For once, i think we've got a decent guy waiting in the wings in Doug Whaley. Here's a guy brought in from the outside, from a model organization. The biggest hurdle he'll face as a future GM will be getting us a coach worth a damn. My confidence in gailey has been steadily waning, and if he cant get this ship righted in a hurry, it's going to be time to fire up the coaching carousel once again.
  17. Its because he went to UB. If Roosie went to Montana St, no one here would even remember his name, nor would they care that he's once again out of the NFL. As for Donald Jones, he's plain garbage. He should go the way of roosie. Guy doesn't belong any higher than 5th or 6th on any NFL depth chart. No Bills WR outside of Stevie, TJ, and Nelson is worth a damn.
  18. People liek JimBob are the reason there are tons of us rooting for penn state to lose. They just don't get it.
  19. So we should have passed on Cordy Glenn to draft a WR?
  20. Thanks for not letting me down. I expected a middle school childish insult coming from someone who posts with the mental acuity and intellect of an 11 yr old.
  21. Sorry, your irrational hatred of Spiller invalidates and discredits what was an otherwise good post. The kid was the single player on the entire Bills team that brought any game today. As for the fumble, first off, it's still debatable whether he even secured the ball. And if he did, that was simply a good play by the defender. It wasn't careless at all. He was trying to secure the ball, and it got tomahawked out. That's just a great play by the defender.
  22. Its ok, We have Ruvell Martin!
  23. Chan Gailey is so much smarter than the jets. Bench an offensive weapon, they'll never expect it!
  24. I absolutely hate this move by Gailey. Who the hell needs a deep threat? Good thing we activated Martin so we can reap the benefits of his super-mega-awesome special teams play!
