"Risers" and "fallers" on the draft rankings only exist in the minds of mock drafters. Anyone making a big jump or drop shows that the mock drafters were wrong and are correcting to what the real NFL scouts think.

Superiority my ass. They appear superior because they were ranked that way at the beginning of the season, thus leading to the self-fulfilling prophecy of the "SEC has the top rated teams." Truth is, there's little difference between the top 12 or so teams. The SEC has 2-4 locked up based off of reputation, not play on the field this season. And even after our loss this saturday...how can you get behind a system whereby FSU losing actually moved them UP in some of the computer rankings?

Donald Jones is flat out awful. I cant stand him. He's slow, not elusive, and cant really catch. He's a #5 WR at best, and trotting out him as our no. 2 WR is a slap in the face. The guy is garbage, and represenrs everything wrong with the team.Taking PS level players and casting them into starting roles.

FSU being near the bottom of the 1-loss teams wouldn't bother me, mainly due to the quality of loss. Being behind a few 2 loss teams is what really chaps my ass. I agree with you that both FSU and UF have similar teams, and i actually agree with the spread. I see us winning by about a TD, mainly because we have the better offense. But what i can't get behind is a system whereby UF has a legit shot at the title game if you win this weekend, however, FSU's shot at the title game if we win is still essentially zero.

Someone please explain to me why according to the BCS, florida is the 4th best team in the country, and FSU is the 10th, yet according to Vegas, FSU is a 7 point favorite going into the game this weekend? Even if you take off 4 for FSU being home, we're still a 3 point favorite. So Vegas thinks the #10 team is better. Perhaps they should be in charge of college football polling. They have a much better pulse on how good teams actually are.

MD leaving makes little sense. They just cut 8 athletic programs due to budget shortfalls, and their solution is to add the $50 mil exit fee on top of it? I'm guessing that bill is going to be forwarded to the Under Armor guy's house. MD claims they'll generate more revenue in the Big10 than the ACC. I say building a non-****ty football team will generate more revenue. I don't see where they gain. They go from a doormat in the ACC to a doormat in the Big10. As for the ACC, word here is that its almost a foregone conclusion that UConn is the next ACC member. Strong basketball program, and we all know that Tobacco road makes the decisions in the ACC. They're spinning it that adding UConn over Louisville will help lure ND to be a full-time member down the road. I hate the UConn move (no offense James) because it does nothing to help the conference football wise. But the NC big wigs don't get that football is the big $ sport in college, not basketball. FSU is basically stuck in a **** conference, unless the SEC and their deep pockets come calling when they inevitably go to 16 teams.

To be completely fair, i do think that Oregon should be the #1, no questions asked. But to say K-State rolled is a bit of a stretch. They struggled against a average Iowa St team and needed a few late scores to win. Both teams played Miami and won handily, but ND thumped Oklahoma while K-State hung on and squeaked by. I'm not arguing one way or the other, just that the difference between K-State and ND isn't as big as some say. But, as long as 2 of those teams remain unbeaten, and keep the craptastic overrated SEC out of the title game, i'm happy.

Players that are on waivers are free for the taking, don't feel bad about it. Blocking someone from getting a player is all part of the game. The only caveat is in a specific situation...in a league i used to be in, all players were FAs (one of those stupid "first one to the computer gets the marquee FA" leagues). When dropped, players didn't clear waivers for 2 days. We had 1 owner be a complete dick and spent 1 friday adding and dropping players all day long, so that virtually every FA worth a damn was locked on waivers and unavailable until after the games on sunday had started. He did this because his opponent had a late in the week injury to one of his players and needed a replacement. That's a dick move.

Even if we put the blame on TJ for making the wrong read, take a look at the actual pass. If TJ had broken the pattern off in front of the S, the pass from shitzpatrick still would have been high and behind graham, like the vast majority of his passes.

Are you kidding me? Also, since when did the BCS decide that record doesn't matter? A bunch of 2-loss teams ahead of 1-loss major conference teams for no other reason than they're from the SEC? Its a feedback loop that cannot be stopped. 1. Rank all SEC teams high in the preseason, deserved or not. 2. Assume every SEC loss is a "quality loss" so those SEC teams never drop very far in the rankings, regardless of record. 3. Assume every SEC win is a "quality win" so those teams somehow pass up other more deserving teams and easily move up the rankings. 4. Completely ignore record, something that is supposed to be sacred in college sports. Record matters, unless you are an SEC member. This damn playoff system can't get here soon enough (provided they actually put other teams in the playoff, and not just match up 4 SEC teams).

Or Donald Jones could have just gotten his worthless ass off the field.
