  1. how will our cops patrol the city streets then?
  2. ok ill agree with yea about DT's and how long it takes to get in, but I still think McCargo has a great year next year and should be a pro bowl alternate atleast..like I said, I was trying to be realistic with my numbers, but didn't realize at the time I wrote them what the bottom 4 DT's had for stats....I hope McCargo has a year like the Pat Williams did in Minny, but Pat is just a monsters and a reckoning force that we unfortunately let go
  3. OK so ill change the word huge to top numbers...if you check the stats of DT's the numbers I gave are comparable to top numbers of last season..as a matter of fact a few of the pro bowlers had comparable numbers although ill agree that huge would be exsessive....also I didnt want to go and throw numbers that I didnt think could be reached last years pro bowlers: Albert Haynesworth 40 6 0 Vince Worlfork 48 2 0 Jamal Williams 39 0 1 Casey Hampton 33 .5 0 (hmm looks like my stats beats those 4 guys) Pat Williams 62 2 0 Kevin Williams 38 3 1 Tommie Harris 36 8 2 Darnell Dockett 58 9 2 (ok my numbers aren't huge compared to these guys but if McCargo had my numbers last year he'd be a pro bowler)
  4. offense: Lynch - (1635yards, 17 tds) Lynch should have been offensive rookie of the year if not rookie of the year last year...Peterson took it only because of that one game in which he broke the rushing record or came close to it, I cant remember wich...Lynch was in top of running backs behind a 1st year o-line while Peterson had a very good line in minny...this years o-line will be much better and with our new wr acquisitions Lynch will get 100/game average and a trip to Hawaii Peters - if Peters doesn't get his contract this year he will be wanting to show how dominant he is at LT and then will get his pay-day...I just hope its with the Bills...Its one thing to let someone like Clements go but Buffalo seriously cant afford to lose Peters no matter how much he wants..pay-day + pro bowl#2 = Great future LT for Bills Defense: Pozluzny - (126 tackles, 5 sacks, 2 int) while Lynch should have had offensive ROY..Poz most defiantly could have had defensive ROY if he had stayed healthy..or at least he looked like he could have had that type of year in the few games he played...this year he stays healthy and gets a pro bowl McCargo - (40 tackles, 4 sacks, 2 FF) some ppl may say Stroud gets the trip , but I think Stroud will path the way for McCargo to go to Hawaii...McCargo will benefit and get huge numbers this year in his breakout year Schobel - ( 65 tackles, 15.5 sacks, 1 int, 3 FF) with a solid middle and more dominant LB core Schobel might have his best year of the past 5 years...Im looking for double digit sacks and maybe 1 int this year and with name recognition along with production Schobel gets starter in pro bowl
  5. yea you guys are probably right..I think I was just looking at my paycheck thinking "damn I could make more, i really could, and it wouldnt bother me either"..lol..so yea I guess with as little as I make times how many employees we have in a small company..probably 50% or more of profits are paychecks
  6. sounds like they want the teams to take the money there spending on rookies and put that towards vets by lowering the rookie paycheck..so theyre not asking the team to lower the rookie salary and make more $, theyre asking the team to lower the rookie salary and make the vets more $...same payout bynthe team just devided different..I hope hes not saying that the teams should pay more of the % of earnings....cuz I know I work for a living and I get nowheres near what football players make as % of company earnings.
  7. man that me so made to see him get a ring by going to the bucs after failing here
  8. Id have to say they would have gotten Hardy...noone could have predicted the way the wr's were picked in the draft...the first 3 or so were "whaa!!!" picks...almost everyone had hardy and thomas and even some had nelson gone in the first...Bills must have felt that in order to get Hardy they needed to trade away there 3rd pick..it was fortunate that teams totally went off scale on the picks and Bills got there man in the second
  9. looks great..only thing Id like to know now is if someones working with him to stop telegraphing the run or pass like he did last year...hes got to stop
  10. OK I can agree on this one yes and in that same article it states: "Thurman went back to Georgia for his grandmother's funeral on May 12 and didn't return for voluntary workouts last week"...its been ten days since shes was buried and this topic was posted 2 or 3 days ago....to me M.Lewis is a scumbag to make a comment like that ...he expected him back last week..ok I know most places only give you 3 days of bereavement for grandparents but this was his mother in sense and the Bengals should have shown more class and let him have longer...now if he was given longer and didn't show up by next OTA then ok do what you want.. yes this is opinion not fact..I started out this sentence with "I think"....I only said this because its stated in the article and talked about a bit and because 9 times out of 10 your guilty by association..lol I have to disagree with some of this: "1.)He has proven time and time again that he is a "me first" kind of guy who won't change his lifestyle.".....I read nothing that stated this so is this fact or opinion...and my point was that the Bengals were acting in the "me first" attitude...he evidently did change since Goodell allowed him back into the NFL this season. "3.)The team was fed up with his crap and they decided to cut him loose"...how much crap could he have given them with 2 years away from the team?....I will admit I dont know what happened to make Goodell give him a full year after the 4 game suspension he had..or why Goodell gave him the second year. yea I agree..bad year for them
  11. I never said the guy was a saint or that he didnt do anything wrong...he was allowed back so obviously you didnt read the article...he was let go for not being seen arround team HQ enough...my argument is that 1 - voluntary means you have a choice to show up or not to show up...seeings that he was out for 2 years, yes its best to show up..you could also argue wether or not 3 seasons with only 1 playing, being his rookie year, if hes considered a 1 year player wich means he didnt have a choice or wether hes a 3 year vet..i dont know the rules on that...2 - he didnt show up due to a death of his mother figure..again, Id like to see you go into work the day after your mother/grandmother dies... I think it was a few things that got him released....1- hes henry's best friend and henry was just released as well(this is not a main or big reason, just a plus or minus in thurmans case)...2 - he didnt show a "team before personal life" attitude this past month..i hate to tell you but ppl that run corporations just dont care about your personal life all they see is what they want done isnt getting done...3 - Im thinking the team was just fed up with any problems...chad johnson's under there skin and multiple players are thugs...4 - they have Rivers
  12. wow..some of you really disgust me..seriuosly...the way you talk about alcoholism is pathetic...yes I agree doctors will turn anything into a disease these days but alcoholism is suffered widely...also I hope when your mothers die (I dont wish this on anybody) (his grandmother raised him so she was like his mother) you all get fired from your jobs for taking some time off to bury her and get things taken care of...you all keep missing this part....he wasnt a no show for no reason to voluntary ota's...
  13. well in my mind that makes it even worse for the Bengals and for the NFL...Am I the only one thats getting the feeling that Goodell sucks and is not very good for the NFL?...every time I read something like this he seems like the evil ceo that's trying to cover up all the bad deeds hes doing.
  14. well the problem with the Bills is that once you become a good player they aren't willing to pay you and keep you arround...is that what the Bills will do with Evans?..who knows.....I think they sign him to a 5 year deal with incentives and a way out clause also...Ive heard some say he might demand what Fitz has from Arizona...but Fitz has 3 probowls its not good to go into a season with only 1 gameplan...if the Bills go smash-mouth and don't pay attention to the passing game it would be bad...I think what your seeing is a Bills team trying to be dominant in both areas I would have liked to see Bills do better in the TE area as well this year but I'm not a coach or an NFL scout so I'm going to have to give them the benefit of doubt
  15. LOL..I wasn't trying to start a "hes cut and hes good and we know his name so sign him thread"...but his rookie year looks really good and if hes really taken the steps to get his life back on track and get back into NFL.. I dint see why another team that needs a LB wouldn't at-least try him out...some people do grow up
