I"m just posting this because I feel a little guilty now for saying that Tom was clueless.

lol, Carrey was great as Clifton...couldn't agree more The night Andy was on Friday's was one of my favorite childhood memories. My parents were out of town and my grandma was there taking care of us, and it was never real hard to convince her to let us stay up late. (I was like 8 or 9 at the time, IIRC.) When Andy started up and raised all that hell, I remember my grandma and I looking at each other when they cut to commercial and trying to figure out what the heck just happened. I sort of wear it as a badge of honor, cause there probably aren't many people who can say that Andy "got them" when they were that young. If my parents had been there, there's no way I would have ever see it live. My grandma and I never talked to my parents about it cause if we had then they would have known that I was up late lol. So I feel as if Andy was a significant part of my childhood, and it's a shame that so much of his greatness I didn't get to enjoy until after I was older and he was already gone. Errr, "gone" (haha) Baby steps...

YES!! Let this be proof that it absolutely goes without saying...Tony Clifton is the ONLY entertainer who could ever eclipse that of the great Andy Kaufman... You have to be in a proper state of Kaufman grace in order to have the name of the greatest ever just materialize in your consciousness, such as it did with the artist formerly known as Gringo... But there is hope for you yet.

I can count on one hand the number of people I would feel that way about upon hearing about their passing....that's what the thumbs down was in reference to...like all geniuses, there are those who will never appreciate or understand Andy's greatness. That's ALL you need to know about the guy right there....just watch footage of that and look at the expressions on the faces of those who are with him. To me, that's his greatest moment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FgqXUJn5g9I Oh, and by the way, there is only ONE comedian who ever lived that was greater than Andy Kaufman....in fact, he's the greatest entertainer who ever lived period.

I need to let it simmer a bit more, but I'm pretty sure this week's episode was my favorite ever...and it's not really that close. I thought the writing was far better than usual, with the scenes between Nero and Wayne, and Gemma and Tara, being some of the best TV I've seen outside of Breaking Bad. Nero and Wayne could have their own spinoff show based on what I saw tonight...what a great job! I'm thoroughly enjoying this sesaon...Meazza, you should give it another chance, brother! Do it in the name of Totti! (or maybe Mrs Totti haha)

Harass is a bit of a strong word...I've always thought it was fun to rib people and trash talk a bit...I don't see any harm in that, personally. And like I said, DJ got a laugh out of it and retweeted my comment on his own twitter. Just harmless fun.

Okay, cool..I"m sure it won't take him long.

So you're saying I can't call him a douche anymore?

I wonder what our men and women in the service would feel like if all of a sudden we could tell them that the job would still be just as demanding physically and mentally, BUT, we're going to remove 99% of the risk that you'll be injured or killed in the line of duty. I'd say that would be a slightly more level playing field, whether he was serious about the comparison or not. And if he wasn't serious about it, I still consider him a douche for making light of it lol. He's just one of those people who should keep his mouth shut regardless, IMO...

LOL, that's awesome...I think it's hilarious when these guys get all worked up over what someone tweeted...good times He was a good sport about it, which I respected...I even asked him not to change it for a while so I could get some mileage out of this, and he said he promised he wouldn't lol. I hope it's that many too...seems like there are legions of little teenie bopper girls who just tweet-drool all over some of these people...

Hilarious - white supremacist learns his DNA is 14% black

It's funny that he has an initiative to turn a town in North Dakota into an all-white town, cause I've had a similar thought...I wish that we could designate part of the country to be inhabited only by those who think judging others by the color of their skin is completely idiotic and have no patience for it anymore. I"m guessing New Fockerland would be a much more populous place than his little crap town in North Dakota. Diversity is a beautiful thing, IMO...but it always gets ruined by these insecure, hateful fugtards who have nothing better to do with their lives than to come up with new ways to be douchebags. -
I still believe in EJ Manuel

He game out of the gate in the 2nd half of that Cleveland game ready to roll...he was fired up, hitting passes, and commanding the offense. Then he decided to let the defender get a shot on his knee and that was that. But I really thought that was going to be representative of EJ getting over the hump...so we just have to wait until he gets back to that point, which I dont think will be long. -
R. I. P. Todd Christensen: Former Raiders TE dies at 57
ajzepp replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a handful of NFL players I have memories of watching when I was a kid...Drew Pearson...Mean Joe Greene...and one of them was TC...RIP, man...57 is way to young. -
I think the trick is to target low-to-mid-level celebs...their accts aren't as active and they seem more interested in their feedback. I was going to call Tom Cruise a douchebag, but then I figured I was just wasting time Yesterday I got into a debate with a feminist who was whining on Rob Cesternino's podcast that there was a gender bias in favor of males on Survivor. I asked her to please stop cawkblocking Rob's cast, and that led into a twitter exchange of like 30 tweets.

I'm not the biggest fan of twitter, but recently I discovered that it's a great way to say something mean to celebrities that you don't like. Okay, it's more than just that...but that's the best part. Anyway, there have been a few times when I tweeted something that I thought was pretty good, but it was like the tree that nobody sees or hears falling in the forest. So I changed my strategy a bit and have started focusing on saying things that I dont think others would likely come up with. Well, today was the first time I had a tweet blow up, and it was a bit overwhelming. Probably some of you guys have had this happen to a larger degree, but after I tweeted it, my email, texts, and twitter all went apeshiit for a good 20 min. In fact, another retweet just rolled in as I'm typing this. This is pretty crazy, and I really can't imagine how nuts it must be for people who get this sort of response x1000 or greater. This is kinda fun! Oh, and just in case anyone is interested what I said (I know, it won't sound all that funny now since I've talked about it so much...) I saw this pic that Daniel Jeremiah had on his twitter acct... ...and I told him that it looked like something out of Eli Manning's 8th grade yearbook.

Thanks guy for all the feedback...you've helped me make my point. I noticed that two people chose "A". I know that one was in jest based on a PM I got, but if anyone who chose "A" would be willing to offer their feedback, I'd really be interested to hear it. Please feel free to contact me privately in PM if that's easier...I will maintain your confidence if you don't want to elaborate on the board for all to see. Also, feel free to resume the humor...I knew you bastarges wouldn't be able to live up to that anyway lol

I would agree with this in the past, but I just don't feel this is the case right now. The front office has made it clear that this team is going to win, and win soon. They are also very high on the idea of competition. They are very high on EJ, obviously, but I feel confident that they will not linger on with him behind center if he's not getting it done. As we all know, this isn't the 1980s NFL anymore. Rooks are expected to contribute immediately and their leashes are much shorter than in years past. IMO, there's no way we'll stick with EJ for three years unless it's warranted, especially given how much less of an investment teams are required to make in their 1st round picks anymore. And it's not like EJ was a top 5 pick...he was the middle of the round. -
Not sure why I can't get a poll fired up, but anyway...I was hoping I could get some feedback from the board based on a particular scenario. *Never mind, looks like it's working...weird... You live in a gated apartment complex where people tend to drive much faster than the 10mph limit. The apartment buildings are three stories high and each has approximately 12-15 units. Parking is on the street in front of the buildings and there are cars on both sides of the street. It is the early morning, approx 7:45am when many people are leaving for work and there is a lot of activity. You see someone with a very small child (able to stand on their feet, but otherwise very young) walk toward their car, open the door, and leave the child standing on the pavement in between their car and the one next to it, while they proceed to start the car for the purposes of letting it warm up before leaving for work. If you could please consider the following possible responses to this scenario and choose your answer above, I'd really appreciate it. And as a side note, i love busting chops as much as anyone, but please refrain from humor, as I plan to show the results to someone who is not active on TBD. Any additional comments you'd like to make in addition to your poll selection are welcomed. Thanks guys (and gals)
