No joke....last year was such an embarrassment the way things were handled. MM resigning was maybe the best thing that's happened to this franchise in the last ten years. I still get sick to my stomach when I think about that mess

exactly....same thing with me. I know we speculated about it on here, but you know how that usually goes....but when Jauron came out and actually admitted it, then I eased up on my frustration with the kid. It was smart of DJ to sort of force him to work on that part of his game, though. I think it will make him a better QB in the long run. I'm just glad he's playing well....I really want him to succeed here.

Yeah, I typically defend Vick as a better QB than people give him credit for, mainly because I see almost all of his games.....but this was just a thug thing to do. He can go F himself.

The "good defense" part is what I need to keep reminding myself of. Jax has a VERY good line....yet even with a handful of green Olinemen we were able to prevent any sacks today. That's a really big thing, IMO.

I saw the highlights of that game about an hour ago.....Eli pulled a Bledsoe big time I can't believe that Dlineman for the Giants had V.Young locked up and just didn't finish the sack, but Eli's haphazzard throw and subsequent pick was even worse. I think JP has stolen his mojo!

I'm really surprised at how Eli has been crapping the bed lately. I think a lot of it has to do with coaching, though....We're really lucky to have Fairchild and Jauron in here, cause they've been willing to be "forcefully patient" (as they put it) since the season started. It's really starting to pay off now, and forcing JP to work on the weakest part of his game (being a pocket passer) was brilliant. I'll be the first to admit that I was becoming "forcefully frustrated" with JP by mid season, but now that I know it was all part of the plan I feel much better about it. JP is da MAN!

Yeah, I think ultimately that will be the most glaring need...particularly getting a stud Dlineman who can plug the run. I don't know what to think of the Oline right now cause they've been playing so well the past two weeks. I mean, Jax's line is maybe the best in the game, yet Willis had a nice ypc average and we gave up no sacks. That's HUGE! Like JimBob said, I don't know how they can just be magically fixed after two games either, but at the same time I think you have to take notice at how the changes we made during the break have paid off.

Very cool....I just looked him up online and he's not only younger than I thought (he's only 23!), he's also lighter than I thought. 6'3 275 sounds more like a DE than a tackle to me....do you think he's stout enough when he's playing the interior, or is he more of a pass rushing tackle when they use him there? I don't mean to generalize (okay, I sorta do), but I think women have a much greater tendency to enjoy a holiday/Christmas flick than we men do. I could probably count on one hand the number of Christmas flicks I've really enjoyed, even though there've been tons of them. Of course, my favorite would have to be "Christmas Vacation"

Seriously, that's awesome to hear....I just was surprised cause typically I'm around here enough to keep tabs on what's going on, and I don't recall reading much about the guy since we traded for him. Being that he's a young'n, that would be pretty cool if he became an effective starter for us. I had completely forgotten this guy was even on the team until someone mentioned it late in the game thread. At first I thought it was a sarcastic post, but then I realized (by looking at my trusty NFL.com stats) that he had a sack and a few tackles. Why is nobody talking about this guy? I never get to see the games, so I usually only hear about someone if he's in a highlight package on ESPN or we talk about him on the board. Has he been in a consistent rotation? How does he compare to our other guys on the line? Is he a keeper or did we throw away a pick?
