Senator Al ready to kick ass for online poker players
ajzepp replied to ajzepp's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Oh yeah, Im glad to have that site you showed me, but I think the poker community needs to get our freedom back. I enjoyed playing at a few different sites before, and I'd like that opportunity again. We should be able to play as we please and not have to jump through all sorts of hoops to do so, IMO. -

I became a Franken fan through his books. "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" is one of the funniest things I've ever read. I never heard his radio show, but I find him to be a very engaging and entertaining author. Carville is sort of the opposite. I haven't read much of his stuff, but I love watching the guy on tv. I'm also fascinated by the example that he and Mary Matalin are setting as a married couple from either side of the fence. I don't think people really appreciate that relationship...I find it to be pretty amazing! -

I hadn't thought about it like that.... -

LOL I lean to the right, but I put Al Franken up there with James Carville - two liberals that I find pretty damn amusing -

What a great day to be back on TSW boys!

Welcome to Club Divorce! I say, screw that B word!!!! GO BILLS! -
Pickler was lookin' hot for sure....glad to see she's doing well. I didn't think she quite had the chops to make it, but I guess she's having some success on the country scene. Good for her.... I sort of liked Sanjaya at first, but after his performance this week I've had it with him. I still don't know what the hell he was doing up there....and now a more talented singer - Tabaldo - was voted off because of his dumb, hairy ass. I don't know what the hell people are thinking with all their votes for this guy, but he may end up taking a spot that should go to someone with a bit more talent. I was just glad to see the guys really bring it this week. The talent was dubious after week one, but this week they shined. Some of these guys really have some unique abilities, and when you combine that with the gals, I think we'll have a very good top 12.

Baseball team on bus that fell off overpass...

It was all over the news down here in Atlanta. Anyone who's ever driven in the HOV lane around that spot can probably understand why this was bound to happen at some point. They exit ramp comes off the HOV lane, i.e., off the LEFT lane, so it's very difficult to even tell it's a damn exit. The guy probably thought it was still the HOV lane and hit the exit full speed. It's really a shame that this had to happen. -
The ONLY reason I'd ever watch a Lindsay Lohan flick would be if she's either 1) naked, or 2) in a highly regarded flick. I just expected the movie to be better and got caught up in the tina fey hype....but I was disappointed.

That was the ex-wife who did that I'll have to change it!

I watched about 20 mins of 30 Rock and turned it off....didn't find it funny, amusing, interesting, or anything that involves some sort of emotional response. I really didn't care for her movie, either....Mean Girls, or whatever it was. I saw it cause the critics dug it, but I was disappointed. I thought her self indulgent speeches toward the end were pretty lame. but yeah, I think she's sexy lol
-
I found the Fallon years a bit overrated, too.....so I know what you mean. You might enjoy some of the new guys, though.....they have kept my interest lately, which is something I couldn't really say a few years ago. I think Tina Fey is pretty sexy, but I never found her all that funny either. I think the show, overall, is back on track though.
-
Did you see her in the "junk in a box" skit last week? She was all glam and looking fine....I think she's awesome
-
LOL, Neil Diamond....that would have been interesting. I tell you what, though, I think Barry did the best job tweaking those folks from last year. Some of them were like different performers after spending the week with Barry!
-
Agreed....she's a classy dame.
-
Can't we just let them come back each week but not sing? lol Antonella was looking particularly hot tonight, but WOW....she really isn't a good singer. I'm pretty psyched about the names who are signed for this season....Tony Bennett, Jon Bon Jovi, J-Lo, Gwen Stefani, and....one of the most beautiful women in the world, Martina McBride. Those of you who aren't all that familiar with Martina are in for a surprise. She's not only amazingly beautiful, but she's got one of the best and sweetest personalities you've ever seen. Not to mention the fact that her voice is angelic! I'm pretty excited about Gwen, too....I've always thought she was way hot
-
I think Alaina is an absolute sweetheart, and hot as hell....I wouldn't mind keeping her around to look at, I suppose Which one is Nicole again?? lol I'm really WANTING to like sundance. Clearly he's got the chops, so maybe he's just dealing with anxiety or something....I dunno. I just really want him to step into the void left by Bo Bice and Daughtry.....the guy who just brings it every single week. When they showed a clip of Bice's a'cappella performance from season 4 during the audition shows this year, I got totally fired up. That was an AWESOME performance....i want to see THAT sort of thing from at least one of these guys this year. Otherwise it's not going to be as big of a season for me.

I kept trying to view that info, but I guess my older computer can't handle it....it kept freezing up. Thanks for the feedback! I'm kind of glad to hear that Sundance has a following, cause I'd like to see him have a little time to get his act together.

Dang, Anthony Fedorov and Mikalah Gordon were ROBBED OF THEIR AMERICAN IDOL TITLES!!!! ROBBED, I SAY!!!!! This show should be taken off the air IMMEDIATELY!!!

Wow, some of these babes really brought it tonight....exactly what I was hoping after the crapfest yesterday. As Albany said, the Idol this year is coming from the ladies....no question. The biggest surprise for me tonight was Gina Glockson....I had no idea her voice was that big. Simon was right that she didn't hit that note as well as Celene Dion, but DUH! Celene Dion is one of the greatest contemporary vocalists in the world. Gina was a bit flat, but she still boomed it and I thought it was very impressive. Lakisha just came out and kicked the hell out of it. Seems like I've heard that song quite a bit lately, but no version better than hers. She made that song her little B word and produced some vocals that were absolutely amazing. I still really like Jordin, and I'm glad they encouraged her to challenge her voice. I think after a month or two of seasoning she'll be among the favorites. I think Haley, Alaina, and Antonella are amazingly hot, but they all need to go. Good show tonight....I'm actually looking forward to seeing the guys again now, cause I want to see how they respond. Call me crazy, but what we need is BARRY FRIGGIN MANILOW!!! Barry knows how to whip these guys into shape, and I think he could really help a guy like Sundance. If the guys crap the bed again next week, then I hope they REALLY consider having an unbalanced top 12, with Randy's suggestion of 8 women to 4 guys. I want to see the best this show has to offer, and it's clear that the talent has boobs this year.

That's about 70% of the reason why I watch the show, too. The human voice is my favorite instrument, and there are usually a handful of contestants who can really belt it out. I love listening to good vocals. Phil Stacey (the last guy who sang) was really the only guy who impressed me with vocals alone. A few of the others have potential, but Phil seems to have an Aiken-esque voice, at least to some degree. I was hoping there would be someone in the mold of Bo Bice and Chris Daughtry, though....I figured that it might be Sundance, but he has been disappointing since his audition. I REALLY want to hear some strong vocals tonight! J.Sparks is gonna bring it....I can feel it!

Hasn't lost it's lustre for me! And according to this article, it hasn't lost it for anyone else either! That being said, I was disappointed in the show last night. With the exception of Phil Stacey and the beatbox guy, I felt the rest of the performances were subpar. These guys really need to pick it up, or else the ladies are going to run away with it. I know there are at least three girls who can really bring it, so tonight should be interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing Jordin Sparks sing tonight....she may be the first young'n since Diana Degarmo to really make a run for the title. Hopefully tonight will be better than last night!
