  1. *ring, ring* - Hello, Arlen?
  2. I remember it pretty well...I was around 12 or so and it freaked me out big time.
  3. Damn right he is...this whole thing is a travesty!
  4. I remember when Thurman first started yielding comparisons to Roger Craig, and then when we all realized Roger Craig was his beyotch... Thurman was one of the few Bills I had a chance to hang with when he was taping a Bills show where I used to work...he seemed like a really cool guy.
  5. That's the one I was trying to find online, but it wasn't in his youtube montage I think it was on my old "season in review" VHS tape from back in the day, though...it was really a great catch.
  6. Two nice ones... http://youtube.com/watch?v=Kb4eidNTAf0 Check out 1:30 and 1:45

  11. Yeah, I have been enjoying that thread
  12. Hmmm....I'm pretty sure we could take him.
  13. You guys are the best Beer, teeaats, ideas for revenge, and pertinent quotations...Vive le TBD!!!
  14. Thank you, my friend...I feel a little better after the beer
  15. I just got some very bad news that I don't know how to process... My time in high school was highlighted by being part of the greatest track and field team ever assembled in Honeoye Falls, NY. Those of us who were in the same graduating class and had been together all four years had bragging rights to being undefeated each and every year. My events were shot put and discus, and I did my part week in and week out to keep us on the winning side of things. My proudest moment was when I bettered the discus record on four consecutive throws during a meet where I was up against my 'arch rival' from York HS. It was one of the last meets of my senior year, and I had him beat until his last throw, when he unleashed (what was then) a county record. I took myself to the limit, and in defeat I pushed him to the best throw he'd have in his HS career. Anyway, I've kept in touch with my old coach every few years, and yesterday I put in a call to see how things were going. One of my best friends - the first girl I ever made out with - has a son who is a star on the HS football and baseball teams, and she's over at the HS quite often. She said she didn't see the track records posted by the pool anymore. I asked my coach about this, and he became silent for a minute. He took a deep breath, and then proceeded to tell me that my record was no more. Apparently four years ago there was some dude named Kevin Argauer who went to HF-L, wiped out my record, placed fifth in the state, and received a division 1 scholarship to Robert Morris. My coach tried to ease my pain by telling me that my record fell in a very honorable way and to a very worthy and deserving individual, and reminded me that it DID stand for 14 years...but alas, I'm very sad. Very, very, very sad. Here's to ya, Kevin Argauer... ya FUKKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Loved the first one...hope this one is as good or better!
  17. I had to watch it again, but caught him the second time....pretty hot!
  18. Nice rug, EC!
  19. Carly is definitely talented, I have to agree with you there. I guess I just have a hang up when it comes to her...I dunno. I'd be really interested to know where she falls in the voting each week. Has she been in the bottom three yet? I can't remember. I think a lot of people feel as you do about Syesha...I guess I just love her smile
  20. Definitely have to give props to the original, I agree....and every time I see her in a clip like that I realize that I've forgotten just how beautiful she was! And yep, the big guy was awesome...I first heard of him only a few years ago, and by then he'd already passed When I saw just how beloved he was in Hawaii I was really moved. Seems like he was a really good soul in addition to having mad talent.
  21. JA, I pretty much agree with everything you said, with the exception of Syesha and Carly. I can't believe people were critical of Syesha's performance this week! As for Carly, I don't mind the fact that AI has contestants who have tried to make it in the biz before, but I can't get over the fact that Carly had MILLIONS put behind her in an effort to sell her record, and she flopped. I don't really find myself all that into her performances, and I won't be sad when she leaves. My top 3: 1) David Cook 2) David Archuleta 3) Syesha the Beautiful My bottom 3: 1) Kristy Lee Cook 2) Brook White 3) Carly
  22. Wow is right....that little girl is amazing! I don't know what it is about that song, but I find myself really getting emotionally involved with several of the renditions I've heard. My favorite of all time is the Eva Cassidy version...it MAY be the most beautiful song I know. Another of my favorites is the late, great "Iz"...one of Hawaii's most famous performers of all time... Enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l4XhMANcCbM...feature=related Another awesome version - completely instrumental - is by Tommy Emmanuel. I just bought this guy's CD and he's damn good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fZNJf-h7F8s...feature=related
