  1. I can't believe the hot chick is already toast...wtf?? That FBI chick isn't bad looking, but she's nowhere near as hot as that brunette.
  2. Yeah, when it's the whole film that they're using the hand-held, it gives me a headache. The redeeming quality for me with Cloverfield was that it was an AMAZING blu-ray disc. The bass in some of the scenes was so amazing that it honestly felt like my little home theater was right in NYC and I was about to get stomped by the monster. The movie wasn't great, the acting was awful, but the experience of the film really did it for me. But I agree with you about the shaking camera thing.
  3. Yep, that's the thing....I respect it a LOT for it's creativity and for the concept, I just wish there was a bit more of a payoff. I remember thinking around the second to last minute, "DAMN, THIS IS GETTING GOOD!", only to be thinking "WTF?!?" one minute later when it ended lol.
  4. OK, let's hear it! lol I thought the concept was terrific...for the first half, I was hooked. After that, I thought it sucked. I'd be interested to know what was it about the end that you liked. And I actually think that most people agree with you, particularly reviewers. It just fell way short of expectations for me
  5. Yeah, and I think it's been long enough since I've seen it that I'd really enjoy revisiting it.
  6. I seriously may do that...do you know if it's on BD? And IIRC, you were one of the few people that was really singing the praises of Season 6 when a lot of others - including myself - were pretty let down by it. Gotta give you credit for seeing more than I was seeing!
  7. Dude, I almost feel guilty because I didn't recognize ANY of that stuff when I was watching it go down. I had no idea Chase was putting so much effort into the details...I almost want to go back and watch the whole damn series from start to finish again lol. Thanks for the link
  8. He's signed through 2013 and he wants an extension? Pfft...please.
  9. I have a whole new respect for the last season of the Sopranos now, thanks for posting the links and the detailed analysis of the last scene
  10. I was honestly shocked when I saw how good she looked. And I mean that in the least perverted way possible given the fact that I was staring and drooling at her while she was naked on screen. There are 20-somethings who will see her 40-something body and be completely envious.
  11. If you think she still looks "pretty good", you should see "Before the Devil Knows You're Dead". She looks AMAZING, and she's got no problem proving it in that film
  12. That site is awesome, man...thanks! The guy updates it all the time and it's really helping me get caught up on what's I've missed while the NFL was going on. This is usually the time of year I start getting into the game again, and this site will help a lot. I'm really encouraged by what I'm hearing about some of our younger players, especially Altidore. I'm also interested in this college kid who won player of the year and bypassed MLS to sign with the champs from the Danish league. Was also cool to see Becks get a goal for AC Milan this weekend
  13. Hey bro...what's Totti up to these days?
  14. Sportsbook.com is the one Fez and I used to use all the time.
  15. Isn't that kinda how it went down? lol "The Battle of Thermopylae [thər móppəlee] (Greek: Θερμοπύλαι), detailed primarily by Herodotus, was fought in September 480 BC,[1] between an alliance of Greek city-states and the invading Persian Empire of Xerxes I, at the pass of Thermopylae in central Greece. Vastly outnumbered, the Greeks held up the Persians' advance for seven days in total (including three of battle), before the rear-guard was annihilated in one of history's most famous last stands. During two full days of battle, the small force led by King Leonidas I of Sparta blocked the only road through which the massive Persian army could pass. After the second day of battle, a local resident named Ephialtes betrayed the Greeks by revealing a small path used to take goats to other cities that led behind the Greek lines. Aware that they were being outflanked, Leonidas dismissed the bulk of the Greek army, remaining to guard the rear with 300 Spartans, 700 Thespian, 400 Thebans and perhaps a few hundred others. The Persians succeeded in taking the pass but sustained losses disproportionate to those of the Greeks. Nevertheless, in doing so, they conquered Boeotia and Attica, burning Athens in the process. However, the fierce resistance of the Spartan-led army had given the Allies valuable time to prepare the defense of the Peloponnesus, at the Isthmus of Corinth, and later that year the Athenian-led navy was able to win a decisive naval battle that would do much to determine the outcome of the war.[7] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Thermopylae
  16. Worst Ending in the History of All Things Earth
  17. No disagreement here...a great ending could have redeemed it to a large degree, though, IMO.
  18. Thank God he's playing in Europe...maybe now the gap between his MLS play and his international play will be narrowed and he'll be more consistent. I'm tired of this guy coming off like he's the greatest thing since sliced bread with his mouth, but then spending more time with his foot stuck in his arse than making use of it for the purpose of doing something productive on the field.
  19. Wow, are you guys dense! Clearly the OP is suggesting we find someone to coach Jauron.
  20. Wow...I just don't understand people sometimes.
  21. Right on, Bill. I am a conservative by nature, and I've never voted for a Democrat. That being said, I was truly moved today during the inaugural ceremony. Obama seems to have the right combination of reverence for our past, a plan for our future, and a way to re-invigorate American pride. I was very impressed with his speech today; he has more charisma in his little finger than the last three presidents combined. I will still disagree with him on certain fundamental issues, but regardless of that fact, I'm ready to be lead by him. I couldn't agree more that he's what we need at this time. Obama is the first American rock star to win the presidency
