  1. I don't know why, but the guy's expression is what's killin me...I can't stop laughing LOL
  2. Why would I want to watch a bunch of U2 fans on tv?

  4. If they keep improving their defense, we won't either.
  5. (I'm pist)

  7. That was the first time I actually liked something Adam did. He stopped with the high-pitched whiney voice and actually sang like a big boy. Matt G can sing, so hopefully he and Anoop will be wildcards. Norman rules.
  8. I agree...it gets annoying when I log on here and I think there's big news, only to find out that it's just a speculation thread and has nothing to do with an actual occurance.
  9. I'm really enjoying this season, too....one of the things I love about this show is that instead of watering down the story line and drawing things out longer than they should, they just throw it into second gear around half way through the season and give us a completely different (though often related) one. It's like having two seasons in one, and it's something I love about the show.
  10. I started off not knowing who Dane Cook was, but everyone kept telling me I needed to check him out. I liked his performance in the very underrated film, "Waiting", but I thought his stand-up was pretty lame. I've since come to feel that he's pretty overrated...I've lost nearly all interest in his schtick.
  11. Happy belated, my Erie brotha!
  12. That guy's my new favorite comedian! (Plodders rule!)
  13. I remember you and I exchanged a PM just after we drafted Whitner...we were definitely on the same page in our fear that senility had taken a death grip on OBD! I like Whitner more than you do, I'm sure, but I'm still a strong proponent of using your high draft pics on impact players in the front seven.
  14. The one guy I want to see go far is Matt Giraud (sp?). He's been the most talented contestant so far this season, IMO. He's bringin back the YAMIN, BABY!
  15. Finally getting around to watching it...this is hilarious! (in response to being asked if he's ever trained for a triathlon) "uh, no...I play real sports, not try to be the best at exercise"
  16. Not that I've been disappointed with this season, cause I haven't. But last night was the first time this year that I just didn't want the episode to end. Good stuff! Can't wait til next week
  17. Wow, if I could find an A4 with that few miles, I'd be tempted to do exactly as you did. That sounds like a great deal you have there....thanks for the info, bro
  18. I can only imagine how awesome it is...I'm typically a "get me from A to B" type of person when it comes to vehicles, but I'd pay a few more bucks for an Audi. It surprised me how inexpensive some of the preowned A4s can be, so I've definitely been tempted. Is the maintenance a pain in the butt on those things, or not a big deal?
  19. Bledsoe's birthday got sacked.
  20. I've been wanting to buy a VW for almost twenty years. Each time I've been in the market, however, there's been a better choice. Now that VW seems to have their QC issues behind them and putting out excellent vehicles, I'm hopefully going to end up in one next time around. I really like those new GTIs....and the Jetta and Passat styling is very classy. Next to the Audi A4, those are the classiest looking sedans, IMO.
  21. Well, I have to say I'm relatively happy with the performance tonight. All of a sudden they've stopped clumping up around the ball like a peewee team and are actually achieving effective ball movement like big boys. They set up opportunities for one another, anticipated well, took a variety of shots (Bradley is the MAN!), and played more aggressively. Aside from Clint Dempsey's new weave, not much to dislike about this effort.
  22. PTS: Thanks for the reminder, bro! Beerball: I started playing when I was five years old, and played competitively for over ten years. The sport is part of who I am, and I have always loved it. It's probably the only sport where I could have no idea what teams were playing or who any of the players were, yet still sit there and thoroughly enjoy the match. When you consider the scope of the game and the impact it has on the world, it can honestly be like an addiction, particularly during world cup time. If I can't get myself to South Africa next year, I'm going to literally try and take a month off of work to watch the matches.
  23. Don't know what the parameters are for "cheap", but the best domestic you can buy is Yuengling, IMO. Oldest domestic brewery, and a nice smooth lager. They FINALLY started carrying it down here in the South, so I'm psyched. Now if we could just get Wegmans down here...
  24. Definitely! Find a weekend when you have time to dedicate to the first season, rent all the discs (trust me on this one), and just start watching the episodes back to back. I'm usually not a fan of scripted television, but after the very first episode of Season 1 (I was late to the party like you) I was completely hooked. I had no idea there was something THIS good on tv. IMO, it's much more fun to watch an entire season over a short period of time since it gives you a much great feel for the real time effect, but it's not like I can avoid watching the weekly episodes of the current season, either. Enjoy!
