I'd much rather be wrong about the 8th/9th best teams than the 2nd/3rd best.

Wow! That was one of the most impressive KOs I've ever seen from one of the little guys. And I've never seen such a discrepancy in hand speed before. Manny P's punches are crisp, effortless, and accurate, whereas Hatton looked like he was punching under water or something. Can't wait to see him fight again.

I was listening to an interview with Lawrence Sidbury, DE from Richmond, who was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons this year. The radio guy asked him how he felt about the BCS, and how it compared to the playoff system that he competed in when he was in college. He didn't hack on the BCS, and he did say that playing 16 games was pretty grueling, but he also said it was a great feeling to know that they had earned their lot on the field and didn't have to rely on some computer to decide who the best team was. What I hate most about the BCS is that it takes away the opportunity for the underdog. One of the factors that makes sports great is the underdog team (or athlete) that finds it within themselves to rise to the occasion when it counts most, when it's all on the line, and prevail. I've enjoyed college football much more since moving to SEC country, but I'll never truly LOVE it until they have a true playoff system to determine a champion.

I do. I keep forgetting he plays for us now. It's going to be a very interesting season!

I'll always respect JP for the way he embraced Buffalo and sung its praises. I don't want him as our starting QB anymore, but I hope the guy can find a way to succeed in this league.

My favorite is the b.harami meltdown thread. (sorry, b.harami)

There are FAR worse films than the one they have listed.... This gets my vote as one of the worst films of all time: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0099697/

The scary thing is how it's taking out healthy people in their 20s, 30s, etc. That's not good.

Fugger blocked the one guy out of bounds lmao
-
Ah okay, thanks. That's what I was afraid of, lol.

I know they started Gallery on the right before moving him over to LT, so I figured Walker may have played over at the LT during that time. Or was Gallery playing guard? Hell, I can't remember....I hate the fuggin Raiders.

Did Walker play on the left or the right when he was with the Raiders?

I didn't know anything about this guy when we made the pick, but some of those highlights sure seem to indicate the guy is a player!

lol, I think I just can't bear to be pessimistic this time of year. I love this team, and the only way I can continue to offset the disappointment of the regular season performance is to allow myself to drink the kool-aid and feel hopeful during the offseason.

Heck yeah, I can't wait! It was pretty clear last season that the Jets mean business on defense, and with Ryan as their new HC, we can expect them to be even stronger. Combine that with the Pats strong Dline, and these new Oline guys have GOT to be ready for prime time sooner rather than later. I really hope they transition well, cause if they do we could see the Bills in January FINALLY. I'm getting excited for September

That says it all right there! I can't wait to see Marshawn's 2nd, 3rd, and 4th efforts being rewarded up the middle for once! The dude is out there busting his ass, refusing to go down, but hasn't had anywhere to pound it out up the middle....that's hopefully about to change.

As much as I wasn't crazy about the last few picks, if you listen to what Jauron said, they went with those players because they were rated on their board significantly higher than the players at "need positions" that were left. While I wish it would have been a position other than DB, I feel his explanation makes sense and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. As for the Oline, I think it's great that we have a "glut" at the middle of it. The interior of our line has SUCKED for a long time. We now have talent at the C/G position and I'm looking forward to seeing them compete this summer for roster and starting spots. Tackle is still a question mark on the left side, but they aren't going to fix every hole in one draft. Besides, there are still four months left in the offseason....who knows what will happen. The tweener/new position argument is ironic, given that we just traded a pro bowl offensive tackle who was an undrafted tight end. Moving from C to G or vice versa is not a huge adjustment and it happens all the time in the NFL, so I don't really consider Wood at G to be a huge deal. Levitre played all three line positions in college. I could be wrong, but I would bet Maybin will be lining up at RDE....not OLB. That leaves Byrd, who will switch from CB to FS....so of the four players who we're likely counting on to start at some point, I only see one of them as having to get used to the NFL AND a new position.

I feel the same was as Dean does....while I wouldn't choose anything surgical over trying a chiro first, I wouldn't make the chiro the initial visit. Can you talk about why you don't want the MRI done? If you are dead-set on not having the film, I'd get a referral to PT and see if conservative therapy can help. I like Dean's suggestion of a D.O., and I'll also suggest you look into a special doc called a Physiatrist. My back guy is one of those, and he has always taken very good care of me. My lumbar spine is a mess and has been for over twelve years. The first guy I ever saw back in 1996 told me I needed surgery. I have a 10% disability rating because of the condition of my lower back, too, but I've been able to avoid anything surgical since that time. I live near one of the more known chiro schools in the country, and I can confirm that when Dean says, "So-called "straight Chiropractors" believe just about any ailment can be cured by Chiropractic", he's exactly correct. Several of my friends have attended and graduated from this University, and they come out of their really believing that any sort of ailment (including infections, cardiac issues, etc, etc, etc) can be effectively treated with chiropractic care. I think it's great we have so many health care options, but I'd be very careful in choosing which ones you seek.

I think he'll soon be developing a taste for Mexican...particularly when he's in NYC
