  1. John: I work with a lady who is very experienced in home care. If you'd like me to see if she'd be willing to discuss it with you, send me a PM.
  2. I was really hoping Rochester would get a team. The Rhinos are very popular and many feel they could easily support an MLS franchise there. That being said, I'm glad to see MLS expanding!
  3. Anyone watching the Chelsea/Barca game today? M.Essien just had a beautiful one-timer off a ricochet to put Arsenal up 1-0. Awesome goal!
  4. Dang, I missed it...was this Champs League or EPL?
  5. How ironic that today is also SONY'S birthday....kinda weird, eh Fez? HBD guys!!!
  6. RIP Paul....miss you, bro
  7. With regard to your first point, I totally agree...I was speaking from a totally selfish perspective. I would be in favor of anything that makes the season more interesting because I love the NFL and the more story lines to follow, the better. I've been a Favre fan ever since he took over for the Magic Man back in the day, and I enjoy watching the guy play. I agree 100% about the media coverage...if they would just leave well enough alone until around July each year, this would have been a non-issue. I was watching Mike and Mike the other day, and Golic made a great point about the difference in how you feel between February and June of the offseason. Particularly when you get up there in years (playing years, that is), you are feeling beat down and exhausted from the wear and tear of the season in February. The idea of doing it all over again is not appealing at all. But once you've healed up and recovered, and you start to crave the gridiron once again, your outlook changes. You start to tap into that love you have for the game and the idea that you've played your last game drives you to continue on and live the dream just a little longer. I know it's a lousy analogy, but how many times have you seen a friend - or maybe even yourself - come out of a bad relationship and say something like, "I'm not dating any more for a long time!"....or "I'm never getting married again!". And then before you know it, after they (or you) have had a little time to recover from the situation, you find that person right back up in the saddle again. Yeah, it can be annoying when people change their mind several times on a particular issue, but when the only person the indecisiveness is affecting is yourself, who cares?
  8. I didn't forget, it just didn't help my point If I were a Vikes fan, I'd want him too. I'd have to temper my expectations, but I'd love to bring him in for a year and just give the thing a chance.
  9. Cool man, thanks for the info. I'm glad he had the surgery, cause there have been a few moments where he really showed some promise. Hopefully he can turn those moments into series', and those series' into games. If he can contribute this year that would definitely go a long way toward making us better. I know Kavika and Poz would be very happy with a new and improved McCargo too!
  10. The older I get, and the more tv hosts that come and go, the more I realize that Johnny was clearly the best. I feel fortunate to have grown up with those great Tonight Show years. Johnny did it the best.
  11. Did McCargo ever get his back fixed??
  12. I don't know, Minny is basically a QB away from being a SB contender. I think they are a better team than GB is almost every area. Minny's front seven is better, their Oline is better, their running game is better....they have all the pieces except one, and I don't know that Sage Rosenfels puts fear in anyone. Favre was leading a young, overachieving GB team to the NFC championship game a year and a half ago.
  13. Exactly....think of how big those Minn/GB games will be this year if he does sign with the Vikes! I know that I'll be tuning in for that one! Brett Favre playing in GB on the frozen tundra AGAINST the Packers??? That's HUGE man!
  14. They've diminished by his standards, but still pretty good for the most part: 65.7 % completion rate 3472 yds 22 TD 81.0 rating That's significantly more production than we're getting from our QB spot!
  15. I don't see why any football fan would be against him continuing to play. Whatever makes the NFL season more interesting, I'm all for it. If I were faced with the prospect of hanging it up for good and NEVER experiencing an NFL game again, I think I'd hold on just as long as Brett has. People can B word and whine as much as they want about his indecisiveness, but when all is said and done it's about one person and one person only - Brett Favre. If I were in his position and felt I could still play at a productive level, I'd play. No questions asked.
  16. "...and then there's Marla Hooch...what a hitter!"
  17. The Cannonball Run gag reel is a blast....the way he and Burt Reynolds would play off each other was classic.
  18. From what I understand, one of the truly nicest and big-hearted, too. Sad day
  19. Let's get this dude on the FIELD, BABY! WOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  20. If he is, you can bet your ass that Dicko is gonna start plucking all the long-necked DBs from the draft as fast as possible. Might as well make it a damn combine stat.
  21. His measurables aren't all that great, but it's also not like he was our top draft pick. We took him in the 5th....expectations aren't exactly sky high. He was very productive on the field from what I've read, so I'd put a lot more stock in that than I would what he did at the combine.
  22. "Shuttle run: The short shuttle is the first of the cone drills. It is known as the 5-10-5. What it tests is the athlete's lateral quickness and explosion in short areas. The athlete starts in the three-point stance, explodse out 5 yards to his right, touches the line, goes back 10 yards to his left, left hand touches the line, pivot, and he turns 5 more yards and finishes."
