Something bad happened today :(
ajzepp replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Had the same experience today too, man. I remember how upset I was week 1 when we blew the lead on the Pats. I couldn't even speak to anyone for the rest of the night because I was so pissed off. Contrast that with today, and it's like I did an emotional 180. I wasn't really "in position" at 1pm, but I eventually got around to finding the game on JTV. At some point durign the first half, I fell asleep and didn't wake up until after the 4pm games had gotten well underway. I saw the final score of the Bills game appear at the bottom of the screen and it didn't really stir up anything inside of me. They gave up 41 pts? Eh, who cares. I'll never love another team more than I do the Bills until the day I die. That's just how it is and that's how it will always be. But there is just nothing about this team right now that is of any concern whatsoever. -
DAMMIT, man...how are we supposed to hate the Dolphins when you post something like this? If I can hate Thurman Thomas for every single minute he wore that stinkin jersey, I want to be able to hate every Dlphins player all the time! Seriously, that was a classy act. Doesn't surprise me that none of the Patirots players approached the veterans. I'm sure Belichick didn't give a crap, so that attitude probably trickled down through the team. Hell, they were probably expecting the vets to come over to THEM. !@#$ the Pats. Good stuff, Pat White.

Well said. That's how I roll, too. Speaking of rolls, that cheesesteak is looking mighty tasty.

Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe

I don't even like Flutie, but he's a winner. Can't dispute that. Besides, Bledsoe is the only one whose last name has the letters that make the word "lose". -

Flutie is the only winner of that group. -
I've always just grabbed the junction of the two bones and then split them apart. You have a little bit of meat on the small bone that you can easily bite off, and then the majority of the meat is still on the big bone waiting for a nice bit of blue cheese dressing to make it yummy. I wouldn't feel right not eating the meat off the bone.

This is one of my favorite posts of the year...that kid is a winner

Like some of you guys, I remember very clearly watching this series when I was a kid. I absolutely loved this show and I thought Jane Badler was just the most beautiful thing this side of Marie Osmond (hey, Marie is hot!). I really enjoyed last night's episode, and I love some of the cast decisions. There are a couple of folks who were in the short-lived-but-still-awesome Firefly/Serenity series and movie, including Alan Tudyk and Morena Baccarin (who plays Anna). Add to that former president from '24', and this show has plenty of solid actors to thrive. I liked the way they are setting up the resistance, and the passive-aggressive approach of the Visitors makes for good tension. So far, I'm in!

Well said, man... Favre has been my favorite non-Bills player for a long time, and I'm thankful that the guy is still playing, and, as you pointed out, at a high (pro bowl?) level. I was dying to see Favre go against his old team this season, and those two games were both awesome to watch. Being that, yet again, we pretty much find ourselves as Bills fans focusing on the draft by mid-season, it's cool to see one of my all-time favorite players and a few former Bills making a run. As much as misery loves company and it's nice to know that we're not the ONLY 0-4 Superbowl team in the NFL, I would love to see Minny win it all this year. "with the eighth pick in the 2010 draft, the Buffalo Bills select..."

I agree! Everyone bend over, its time to put Buffalo Bill through the fart wagon!!!

You learned that from the fart master....I want my credit!!

Has anybody actually seen/experienced something paranormal?

I don't know if anyone watched the special Live version of Ghost Adventures last night, but it was pretty entertaining. I didn't see the whole thing, but found this clip from someone else....pretty freaky!!! http://www.justin.tv/clip/0d2122dae1d77027 Also, if anyone wants to see some interesting UFO-type evidence, do a google search for Gilliland's Ranch. -

Twice for me, too. First one was back in the early 90s. A couple buddies and I started messing around with the Ouija board. Not much happened, but then we heard that it worked better when you had both genders represented. So we brought out one of the hot girls from work to join us. About an hour or two into the session, we were going to give up....but then it started becoming more active, spelling out words and phrases like "help me" and "where am I?" It freaked us out at first, but then it got kind of annoying. Anyway, the next day when I came into work, my friend (whose apartment we were using the board in) looked a bit flustered. I asked him what was wrong, and he took me aside in one of the back rooms. He said that earlier in the day he was awakened by some commotion in one of the downstairs apartments. He inquired as to what was going on and saw an ambulance taking a body out of the building. Apparently the lady in the apartment directly beneath his had passed away in her sleep the night before. Naturally, we thought that maybe this was the spirit of that lady trying to figure out what had happened to her. Second time, it was when I was living in Philly in a studio apartment. I had written something for a literature class that involved the topic of the bible and Satan. (It was basically a poem about being "vigilant" to the influence of evil.) Well in the middle of the night, I found myself in that sort of half awake, half asleep state....I rolled over onto my back, and there was a greenish terminator-looking head just floating there, rotating about three feet above me. I jumped out of bed, started swearing up a storm, and it was gone. Scared the bejeezus out of me! -
lol, can you please post a link to my web show?

I agree He would have eventually put a winner on the field.

I researched this a while back. There's really no such thing as a stand alone whole house unit. There are two things I would recommend you do: First, buy yourself a pack of "NaturalAire" furnace filters. When you're not home, leave your furnace fan running. When I first moved into my current place, I was having asthma attacks constantly and my allergies were out of control. I started using these filters and ran the fan when I was at work, and it did wonders. It basically turns your furnace into one big air cleaner, and you won't believe the crap you find on the filters when you change them! As far as stand alone air filters, they are only rated to treat a certain area, and they don't do well treating adjacent rooms, even if the doors are open. For that reason, it's best to have smaller individual units placed in the rooms where they are most needed (usually the bedrooms). My personal favorite, and the one I bought, was the Austin Air Allergy Machine Jr. I use one in my bedroom. Hope that helps!

The grandson is feeling unwell and his grandfather comes to visit to cheer him up bringing a book with him (much to the grandson's disdain). But this is a special book. The story contains fencing, fighting, revenge, true love, pirates, giants, miracles, captures, escapes etc. In the country of Florin, Westley and Buttercup fall in love but as he is poor, he sets off to earn some money so they can get married. But woe is me. His ship is attacked by the Dread Pirate Roberts, who never leaves captives alive. Crown Prince Humperdinck decides to marry Buttercup (and in the spirit of all good fairy tales, she has no choice - the law gives him the right to choose his bride, no questions asked). Shortly before the wedding, the future Princess is kidnapped by a short guy with an even shorter temper from Sicily, a giant from Greenland and a former alcoholic Spaniard (incidentally, the Spaniard is a master sword fighter who is set on avenging his father who was murdered by the Six Fingered Man). The kidnappers make off with their prey but are followed by The MIB (Man in Black). He catches up, knocks the Spaniard unconscious in a duel, beats the giant in hand to hand combat, wins a battle of wits against the short Sicilian guy and kidnaps Buttercup himself. By this time, Prince Humperdinck and his partner-in-crime, Count Rugen, are tailing them hoping to snatch the girl back. The MIB turns out to be the Dread Pirate Roberts aka Westley!! The previous Roberts (who wasn't actually Roberts, but a sailor called Cummerbund) decided to retire and hand the name over to someone else. The reunited pair escape into the Fireswamp and are faced with the three terrors: The Flame Spurt, Lightening Sand and R.O.U.Ses (Rodents Of Unusual Size). They are caught on the other side of the swamp andButtercup negotiates the safe return of Westley to his ship if she agrees to return to Florin. The Prince instructs the Count (did I tell you the Count is the Six Fingered Man?) to take Westley and throw him into the Pit of Despair. It turns out that the Count is at present writing a definitive work on his deep and abiding interest. Pain. So he uses The Machine, his marvellous invention based on the concept of the suction pump, to suck one year of Westley's life away. Buttercup tells the Prince that 1. she loves Westley and 2. she thinks the Prince is nothing but a coward with a heart full of fear. Now, the Prince is not particularly happy about this and rushes off to the Pit of Despair and turns The Machine on, sucking 50 years away. Oh, before I forget, Spaniard and Giant have met up again and are looking for the MIB to help with the revenge part of the story. They track him down to the Pit of Despair and find Westley is Mostly Dead. They go to see Miracle Max who retired after being fired by the King's stinking son but on hearing that Westley is Buttercup's true love makes a chocolate coated miracle pill (apparently the chocolate coating makes it go down easier) to bring him back to life. The pill works and the Spaniard, the Giant and the revived but still really weak Westley storm the castle. The Spaniard finds and kills the Six Fingered Man, Buttercup ties the Prince to a chair, the Giant finds 4 white horses, Westley offers the job of Dread Pirate Roberts to the now unemployed Spaniard and they all ride off to freedom. Aw, SH*T! My bad.... Next up: Bubba Ho-Tep!
