  1. So you're saying that Mike Singletary and Perry Fewell are the same person?
  2. Before Dickballs got fired, Favre and the former Bills on the Vikes were my only hope for something I could latch onto for the rest of the season. Thankfully I'm reinvigorated about the Bills now that Perry has taken over, but I'm sure glad Favre is still here, as well. He's my favorite QB of all time next to Jimbo, and I'm really glad he decided to play another year. If we did a poll before the season asking whether Favre would have twice as many INTs as Tom Brady or half as many, it probably would have been pretty skewed toward the first answer. But he's having an amazing season, and I hope he goes all the way. The game will miss him when he's (finally) gone.
  3. Very true, the age limit on AI prevents Susan Boyle type stories. But you have Clay Aiken who was a (really) nerdy looking school teacher...David Cook (probably my fvorite Idol) was a bartender...a couple of guys were in the armed forces....a couple of the girls were stranded in places like Kansas and Oklahoma with no prospects...etc, etc. Hard to say who would have become feasible artists and who wouldn't, but a lot of them were pretty much average joes at the time they auditioned, and ended up being able to make music their career. I think that's pretty awesome. I watch that America's Got Talent show in passing, and even though I couldn't STAND him, the winner this year was some broke down country redneck guy that America apparently fell in love with. Would I ever buy his album? Heck no...I fast forwarded through every performance after the first one, lol. But he's kind of like a small scale version of susan boyle. And from what I heard, there was a prior winner of that show who was signed to Vegas for like 10mil per year! That's huge, man. It would be like if bunch of us could put together an ownership group together, go on some reality show, and end up winning the Buffalo Bills lol.
  4. She's a great example of why I like to watch shows like American Idol even though I often face a lot of fierce attempts to take back my man card. I can't help it, I'm an empathetic person...always have been. I'm constantly putting myself in the shoes of others and living vicariously for a few moments in time. Just imagine how amazing it must feel to have lived half your life loving something, but never really being able to do more than dream about it....and then one day the opportunity comes and next thing you know you're actually on center stage and the dream has become reality. That's got to just be an overwhelming feeling....I can't imagine how cool that must be! I don't have much interest in Susan Boyle's music, cause she seems like a bit of a nutjob, but I think what she accomplished is pretty great!
  5. Here's what I like about Fewell, Bill: He understands that if you treat these guys like football players during the week, they won't forget who they are come Sunday afternoon. There's no other sport, IMO, where it's more critical to maintain a consistent idea of who you are and what you're striving to obtain. The toughest, meanest, grittiest men in Buffalo on Sundays should be on the field of the Ralph....not in the bleachers. Go Bills, and Go Perry!!!
  6. if there was ever a player who embodied the idea of "leaving it all on the field", it was Tasker. I'll never forget how hard a buddy and I laughed the first time we saw Tasker go in motion on a running play and just HAMMER the defensive player into the ground. I miss that little guy
  7. He may have meant that Shanahan enjoys toilet humor and likes to make fun of retarded people.
  8. Report back and let us know how it goes, man! I've been to seven Bills home games and I had a blast every time! Make sure you take the football with you!
  9. I was watching some of the Cincy-Illinois game, too, and he did look pretty good. The only thing that was weird was the lack of rotation on his passes. I know he's got a strong arm, but he may need to get a little more "zip" on some of those throws in order to hit receivers in the pros.
  10. "We live in the North Atlantic, so let's train in the North Atlantic."' - P.Fewell Damn right, Perry!!
  11. lol...I'm excited to find out what happens, but the more I think about it the more I just don't think it's going to happen. I don't care if we sign the guy or not, I just hope that whoever we bring in can right this ship.
  12. The more I think about it, the more I feel Shanahan is just using the Bills to set the market for his services, and he has no intention of coming here.
  13. you guys make some interesting points. Is it likely he admitted to the act given the fact that he was fired? I would have expected the hospital to suspend him pending the investigation, but apparently he was fired today. It would definitely be more feasible (given the fact that I know the guy) if the only reason they're using the word "assault" is because of the patient/caregiver role, and he was perhaps under the impression that she was willing to have sex. People can always surprise you, and you never know them as well as you think you do, but I know enough about him in the professional setting to feel very strongly that he would never "assault" someone, where he forced himself on them in a violent way. He's not a violent person...just the opposite.
  14. Absolutely. This is just surreal.
  15. My understanding is that they did do a rape kit after the accusation. Not sure of the results or whatever evidence they have.
  16. I totally agree, and that's the approach I take when I provide care, but this was a situation where he was assigned to a "sitter" role. Whenever we get involuntary admissions, we have to provide a 1:1 observation at all times, and it sounds like that's what he was doing. (I wasn't there, so not positive.) We round on our patients at least every hour, and most of our rooms are semi-private. Having sex with a patient in the room would just be very difficult, not to mention the fact that I just can't imagine this guy doing such a thing. Whenever he's been in the sitter role before, he's always been good about staying awake (at night), doing work on his laptop for school. I really can't believe this.
  17. I'm an Assistant Manager (RN) at one of the largest metro ATL hospitals. I've been there for the past three years and I help manage a staff of RNs and NCAs (nurse assistants). I've been out of work on FMLA due to a back injury for the better part of the last couple months, and last night I rec'd a disturbing text from one of my nurses. Here is the link to the story behind what happened.... Story I've worked with this guy almost every night for three years. I don't know whether he did this or not, but his career is likely ruined. We get psych patients all the time, and they make all sorts of crazy claims, so I just don't know what to think. Have any of you guys ever dealt with something like this??
  18. I totally disagree. My HT has a 1080p projector of very good quality, and I watch most of my films on blu-ray. I can view as many titles as I want for free (included in my Netflix membership), and many of the titles are now in HD. You maybe did not have your xbox settings correct, or perhaps it's been a while since you've used the service. Xbox Live is less than $4 per month, and it's totally worth it.
  19. Dude, we've had a corpse as the head coach for the better part of the last three seasons. Fewell is a breath of fresh air.
  20. If I were as old as Ralph, sitting on millions, and the owner of the Bills, I'd throw caution to the wind and go "all in", too. As they say, you can't take it with you, so c'mon Ralph...the fans have earned it...make a big splash and let's go on one more run before you head off to the great big hall of fame in the sky
  21. lol, me too, but we're going to have a new OC next season regardless I tell you what makes me vomit in my mouth is the number of QB/RB tandems we've had this decade. RJ/Antowain, Bledsoe/Henry, JP/McGahee, Edwards/Marshawn.....holy CRAP, that's nuts. That's obviously not even a comprehensive list. We need some frickin stability!
  22. Let us know how you liked it if you end up checking it out
  23. If he was able to bring in a pair of sharp coordinators, I think it could work.
  24. lol... I'm really liking this guy so far. It's nice to see someone who remembers that this is FOOTBALL
