  1. Yeah, but his batting average is much higher.
  2. I'm usually pretty sympathetic to this sort of thing, but here's a guy who has already had one heart attack, the WWE suspends/fires him for failing a drug test but offers to send him to rehab....what does he do? Says "fuggit", keeps taking drugs (allegedly), continues along the same path he was on, has second heart attack and dies.
  3. I just wanted to resume my crusade early this year
  4. That's the one match I hate to see, cause I love my German team but I'll always side with the USA over anyone else....hopefully they'll miss each other and whoop up on some other teams. I have a feeling this is going to be a very good WC....there were some pretty amazing goals at the last one, and I think we'll see some good futbal in 2010!
  5. I caught a fair bit of the coverage today and I'm pretty excited. I LOVE what ESPN has done with their increased commitment to soccer. They've got a nice panel of analysts and the coverage is better than it's ever been in the past. I was a bit sad to hear the early assessment on the Germans, but as long as we have Krazy Klose on the squad we can score at any time. I'm assuming Kahn is not the keeper this year, but I didn't hear anything to confirm that. As for the USA, I'm pretty psyched about this draw, especially compared to last time around! If we don't advance past the group stage, I want all you Prima Donovan lovers to admit that he's TOTALLY OVERRATED!! He's the "leader" of this team, and if we don't come out of the group then the blame will fall mainly on his little shoulders. We had a Jekyll and Hyde showing at the Confederations Cup, so hopefully we start strong and finish strong in South Africa! I cannot WAIT!!!!
  6. Okay, that's it. I challenge all you f'ers to a football throwing contest.
  7. I was kinda shocked when it showed up, too!
  8. I could do that within ten shots.
  9. That's how I am....I drink a SHITLOAD during a meal.
  10. I love that Vitamin Water stuff.
  11. Well, I AM a medical professional, and there is a significant factor here that none of you guys has addresed... A large majority of the overweight people I care for in the hospital simply don't give a flying poop! I had a 34 year old guy admit to me once that he knew he shouldn't have allowed his BP to stay at 220/130 for ten years, but he didn't like the fact that BP meds made it more difficult for him to get an erection. Guess what? Now he's in chronic renal failure and will be on dialysis 3x per week the rest of his life. It's the same with fat people....most of them just don't care enough about the consequences to do anything about their problem. You see the same thing with smokers. We're required to at least offer smoking cessation teaching to all smokers we admit to our floor, and if I had a dime for how many times I heard "eh, we're all gonna die of something!", I'd be a rich man. Whenever it comes to making improvements in our health, it all starts with the proper motivation. If it's not there, it just ain't happening.
  12. Well...at least Bill wouldn't complain about the cold
  13. I agree. If that's what Shanahan ends up wanting to do, screw'em.
  14. Hmmm. You and Beerball make good points. I need to reconsider my position.
  15. It was driving me crazy trying to think of the Saints QB, lol....I knew it wasn't Hebert, but couldn't remember Forcade's name.
  16. Nice write-up, R.Rich!
  17. No, but you and I are both from Erie, so there's a chance that WE could be the same person. Poeticlaw? Ruling please?
  18. Mine was December 10, 1989...Bills v. Saints. I remember having a great time, even though Dalton Hilliard ran all over us and we lost the game. The seats were frozen over but the stadium was packed in and we were excited as hell to be there.
  19. I don't know that I agree about their situations being identical. SF has a realtively healthy defense that is much more talented (i.e. expensive) than ours is. I understand that it's easy to point to Singletary as the embodiment of "intensity", but I'd say Fewell's success or lack of success will be independent of what Singletary does.
