  1. The cupboard is bare, that's for sure. I'd replenish the talent level on our roster by signing three receivers that cost about the same as a Mike Wallace would. Barden, Hixon and Devery Henderson would look nice lining up with SJ13 and Spiller. Now for the QB...
  2. Lol at that comparison. EJ's completion percentage was far superior to JP's in college. Losman's best full season comp% was 59.5, EJ Manuel peaked at 68 and no less than 65. YPA? EJ 8.8, JP maxed out at 7.3 in a weaker conference. Not even close.
  3. Ha ha ha! I knew it! I told everyone that would listen that EJ will rise and rise fast in the draft. He is the best QB in this years' class. I hope he ends up a Bill. The kid has all the tools to be great.
  4. Well now we don't have to worry about them grabbing one in the second round either.
  5. Great news for us! A QB will fall to the Bills, now. Either Barkley or Geno. I'd take either one. If the Bills don't use their first rounder on a QB I'd like to take EJ in the second. In the third I'd take Bray.
  6. No way in hell it's the 1st overall pick. I'd bet my life on it.
  7. On this team McKelvin is most certainly a starter. It may not have been the wisest thing for Nix to say, but it's true.
  8. It isn't the lack of moving up or down in the draft that has hurt the Bills over the years. It's the poor decision making that's made when they finally do make a selection that has prevented is from winning. Staying pat has actually put us in a great position to succeed.
  9. I agree with you, but there's one problem with that, the draft is weak on offensive talent this year. We have a shot at Patterson with the eighth overall pick, but that's about it. By the time our turn in the second round comes up there may not be a viable QB for us to take.
  10. Bills free up 6.4 Mil in Cap savings by cutting both players
  11. I haven't read a single post in this thread, because I know it's gonna be a Stevie J bashing-fest. The bottom line is this kid produces with subpar quarterbacking. Cut him some slack. He isn't out of shape.
  12. I've heard people say he'll be a Jet or a Pat*, but I have my money on him becoming a Bengal. They take chances in players like him all the time.
  13. You're correct to a certain extent. Coaching can play a major role in anyone's development, especially when it comes to devising a scheme that plays into an individual's skill set and intelligence. For example, it is a well known fact that Kelly's K-Gun offense was a simple enough offense that utilized no more than a handful of plays but disguised in multiple formations. This is the type of offense you want your young and inexperienced signal caller to run. Hackett is familiar with the K-Gun, therefore I believe EJ Manuel makes perfect sense for the Bills because I believe he can thrive in this type of offense. JP Losman is a bad comparison to make because he isn't as athletically gifted as EJ and his numbers don't even compare to Manuel's either. JP's highest completion percentage in a full season was 59.5. EJ hit 68% of his passes this year. YPA? JP: 7.3 EJ: 8.77. He's throwing the ball further down the field with an almost 10% higher completion percentage than Losman. EJ also faced stiffer competition than JP. It isn't even close.
  14. It's déjà vu all over again. I'm baffled by those that don't like EJ Manuel just like I was when some of you didn't like Colin Kaepernick a couple of years ago. What's not to like? Arm strength: check Accuracy: check Running ability: check Plays big in big time games: check Everything else can be coached. So what if he stares down his primary target? So what if he doesn't go through his progressions? TEACH him how! That's what coaching is for! You can't learn how to be fast, or strong, or accurate. But you can learn the rest. One year one the bench and EJ will be ready to go. People call him inconsistent. If a 68 completion percentage is considered inconsistent then I'll take it. His YPA is amazing, too. Don't fall for the trap that gets set by the media hype machine. Every year they have their Gabberts and their Kaepernicks. I'm no expert, but I didn't like Gabbert one bit. I loved Kap. My eyes tell me everything I need to know.
  15. Are you talking about the televisions themselves or TV programming? Because HDTVs are awesome. Way better than the old ones.
  16. My second car, a 97 Honda Accord LX was stolen three times. In three totally different places. The third time my car was recovered by the police was during a B-n-E. One of the guys was waiting in the car while the other was inside robbing the house. A policeman spotted the guy and noticed the steering column had been damaged when he got out to question him. Both of the perps were arrested. On the 28th day, too. I was pissed, I didn't want my car back. Not after the third time was stolen.
  17. Just because people say he's had many girlfriends doesn't mean it's true or that Manti even enjoyed his "time" with said girls. I just can't see any other motivation behind this story. It defeats all logic.
  18. If I had to guess I'd say Manti Te'o is probably gay. This whole thing is a cover up. Imagine being a young star in college and having all types of women coming after you all the time. On top of that, his boys probably asked him why he doesn't mess with these girls. What do you do to avoid all the pressure if you're gay and don't want to come out? Pretend you have a girlfriend! It's obvious to me.
  19. Those projections don't sway me one bit. The only thing I know is this kid plays sideline to sideline. Always around the ball. That's what this defense needs more than anything else.
  20. Ha ha! He probably walks around butt naked. Lol
