Fre agent singings I'd like to see: Pettigrew TE Streif RT Schwartz LG Draft: 1. Ebron TE 2. Borland LB 3. McCarron QB These are all very realistic moves we can make and won't be cost prohibitive. I'd like to see the Bills employ a lot of two TE sets. With this lineup we can run and throw the ball effectively. Our offensive line will be pretty good and Pettigrew is an excellent blocker. McCarron can push EJ, may the best man win.

When a player complains about PF in both his feet and misses 5 games because of it, teams will take notice when you're asking for that much loot. Their strategy could have backfired.

Byrd-to-Dolphins chatter a 'smokescreen' per Rotoworld. The Miami Herald's Adam Beasley is hearing that chatter of free agent FS Jairus Byrd landing with the Dolphins is a "smokescreen." The smokescreen was apparently leaked by Byrd's reps to the NFL Network, which reported Sunday the Fins were "expressing real interest" in this year's top free agent safety. It may be a sign Byrd's camp isn't satisfied with his contract offers to date, which wouldn't be shocking. Byrd is seeking $9 million per year. That's an awful lot to pay a safety with 4.68 speed going on age 28.

When your offense is going three and out all the time it isn't easy to stop people. Our defense is very talented. Like someone pointed out, we were without a lot of players on defense, such as, Byrd, McKelvin missed a little time, and Gilmore. Are you suggesting our defense is horrible? IMO we just need to fill in one or two holes and this unit will be elite. Poor QB play, the offensive line, and the lack of a true #1 receiver has more to do with our defense's struggles than anything else.

You can count Minnesota out for Vick's services. They just re-signed Cassel for two years. I still don't want him. Too late for that. I would've signed him prior to his signing with Philly, but now? No way.

Certainly there are other issues. I put the blame on our offense. If we were playing with the lead and keeping the defense fresh our run D stats would look a lot better.

What a coincidence. I was just gonna post something about The Wire. I just finished it last night. Great show. Not BB level, but pretty darn good. Where The Wire could have improved is in their season finale's. They're anticlimactic. BB doesn't have that problem. Great characters and storyline. Some of my favorite characters are Omar, Avon, Stringer, Bunk, Lester, McNulty, Carver and Bodie. That's a lot of characters to like for one show. Everytime I think about Snoop's scene in the hardware store I laugh. Season 2 was pretty weak in comparison to the rest of the seasons. I was ok with the finish. I highly recommend many of the shows you guys have already. Orange is the New Black, House of Cards, True Detective, Shameless, Lost, Friday Night Lights, Sopranos, Boardwalk Empire and Prison Break are all very excellent shows.

A bit of advice: pay close attention to what Murph has to say on his show. For over a week now he's been all about not re-signing Byrd. I truly believe he's been given inside information. His job is to lube us up. I truly believe that. The second I heard him speak on the subject I knew Byrd wouldn't be tagged.

I can't help but think this has been their plan all along. They knew D. Williams and Meeks wouldn't be ready last year so they played hardball. This year they HOPE those guys are ready.
