Six Days Until Sunday. Featuring the Bills Linebacking corps during the week leading up to the Texans game. On NFL Network.
BTW. Spikes should be on Total Access sometime this week also.
NO Commercials, rapid fire play after play and 3 hours of football in only 30 minutes! Can you imagine watching a Bills game without knowing the outcome under those circumstances? I'd be a nervous wreck.
I just wish there was a way I can avoid out of town scores while I'm watching the Bills game live so that I can watch any other game I am interested in in shortcut mode. Of course I'd have to wait until Monday to watch those games but it would be fun and not very time consuming. I can watch 6 or 7 games in the time that it takes to watch one live. Maybe I should cover the out of town scores with tape or something.
Let's face it. McGahee is a money player and I mean that in more ways then one. The regular season is upon us and McGahee loves to play when it's for real and it doesn't hurt that his check will be much larger this week. I expect (or should I say hope) that the running game gets going this week. JP really needs it to. The Bills also have to play great defense and give up no more than 10pts in order to assure the Bills a win in the season opener.
BTW. I was watching the Hurricanes vs the Seminoles game last night and couldn't help but think of JPL when I saw Kyle Wright playing in his first game as a starter. Let's hope JP can come out on top.
The swam is back and I'm finally ready to make my picks for this season and I know you guys wont like it.
9/11 - Houston-LOSS- Just like last year the Bills will open with a loss at home. The Texans are gonna be tough this year and the Bills Offense will not be ready yet.
9/18 - @ Tampa Bay-WIN- The Bucs are lousy and that Defense of theirs is getting old. Bills win this one in a ugly game.
9/25 - Atlanta-LOSS- Atlanta too good for Buffalo at this point.
10/2 - @ New Orleans-WIN- That makes two for two on the road. Bills strengths outweigh New Orleans in this one.
10/9 - Miami- WIN- First home win of the year. Bills now 3 & 2.
10/16 - New York Jets- WIN- Bills always take one from The Jets at home. Three game win streak now and Roscoe should be back and gives Bills "O" a boost.
10/23 - @ Oakland- LOSS- We never win out there.
10/30 - @ New England-LOSS- Do I really need to explain? Half way point and the Bills are now 4 & 4
11/13 - Kansas City-LOSS- This one I don't feel good about. I think the Bills can win but I'm not too sure.
11/20 - @ San Diego-WIN- I don't respect the Chargers and JP plays well at home.
11/27 - Carolina-LOSS- That "D" will stifle Buffalo. 5 & 6
12/4 - @ Miami-WIN- Dolphins suck.
12/11 - New England-LOSS_ The customary broom comes out, again.
12/17 - Denver-WIN- Bills bounce back and are now 7 & 7. The playoffs are still possible.
12/24 - @ Cincinnati-LOSS- It was bound to happen. Out of Playoff contention with this loss.
1/1 - @ New York Jets-LOSS- We always lose in New York.
The Bills were counting on the running game rather heavily when they made the decision to go with JP. And why wouldn't they? A great running game can only help JP as he gains more and more experience.
This is the third preseason game and the O-Line still can't run block. McNally needs to shake things up a little bit. Preston should start at LG next week. Anderson simply sucks. Maybe we should go with Ross Tucker at LG. All I know is that O-Line isn't gonna get much better as is and the running game needs to give McGahee an opportunity to shine.
I felt that JP was forcing things to #80 tonight as well. It even looked scripted. Maybe going to Moulds often was part of the game plan or maybe JP just wants to keep Eric happy but either way he needs to spread the ball around more.
Overall, I am still happy with tonight's game. There were some positives. JP is much better than Drew is already and he will only get better. The starting D and special teams are as good as advertised. The Bills could've played better in the first half but still left the game with a lead and if the starters stayed in and this was a regular season game I believe the Bills would've won easily.
KJ had some interesting things to say about Drew Bledsoe today on Sirius Satelite Radio. He said Drew never had a receiver like himself and that all of his receivers in the past were small and fast. He also said #11 holds onto... You get the picture. He then went on to say, "Drew has to learn how to throw it to me even if I look covered".
