Of course there are Palestinians in Israel. Where do some of you get this s**t from? My parents went back home recently to the West Bank, where they were born, and were given a two month visa. They were rejected by Israel for an extension when the two months were up. They're 60+ hoping to retire in their homeland and they can't even stay longer than two months. It's a travesty.

Sure, they are, but they still lack basic civil and human rights. My parents were born there and they're not even allowed to live there. Sad.

Don't try to pretend like we don't exist. Besides, that job belongs to the Israelis. "Hamas doesn't recognize our right to exist". That's a joke and you know it. Where has diplomacy and peace gotten the Palestinians of the West Bank? More illegal settlements? Checkpoints? The right of no return?

Hey, Newt, I see the game you're trying to play. If you want to play that game I can play it too. What's an Israeli? Weren't they exiled from Israel hundreds of years ago? Those people there now aren't actual Israelites. They're from many other countries around the world. Simple geography and visual aid tells you all you need to know about who belongs in that region and they ain't whites. COMMON SENSE!!!! Arabs dominate the Middle East, demographically. Israelis look nothing like us, well some of them do, but a lot don't. Your eyes deceive you.

That's all fine and dandy, but war, IMO, should be fought between two armies. Israel constantly blames Iran for the bottle rockets Hamas has launched and yet they don't attack Iran for doing so. BECAUSE THEY'RE COWARDS.

We have an actual track record of proving otherwise. Jews and Muslims have lived together in relative harmony compared to today when Israel was under Palestine's control.

There's no debating with people like you. You can't/won't even allow your own eyes to do their job and actually see who is being destroyed. You'd rather accept the rhetoric that you've heard instead of the actual results.

I'm not buying that explanation. There are many other countries in the world that share our same cultural goals and values, but you don't see us bending over backwards for them and giving them a blank check for whatever they want, do you? And don't say it's because they're surrounded by a bunch of countries that want to see and cause their demise. That's BS. Israel is strong enough to defend themselves without anyone's help.

Never have I said they are righteous. I regularly condemn them and and any other terrorist organization. Hamas is only good for one thing--Israel. That's probably why they helped them get off the ground in the first place. Check it out for yourself. Hamas was started and funded by the Israelis.

The gauntlet has been laid out. Answer the million dollar question. Why are we friends with Israel? It's okay, I'll wait. I've been waiting a couple of hours on that answer already. And please don't tell me it's because we need them or because they're the only "democracy" in the region. Before we had military bases in Afghanistan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia I could understand why we need them, but now that we do... Towing the company line, I see. No provocation whatsoever. Over 1000 shot towards U.S.rael with only 3 deaths and you still believe Hamas is out to destroy Israel. In the meantime, Gaza's infrastructure is destroyed yet again and over 100 lives lost.

Well perhaps you should seeing that plenty of our tax dollars finds its way there annually. And I don't "flip out regularly". I don't even post regularly. I've been insulted in this thread already and I haven't flipped out. The point I'm trying to make is you will respond to my posts and then when encountered with a question you can't answer you resort yourself to insults, such as "no one takes you seriously enough", or something like that. Ignore me completely if that's the case. As far as "talking points" goes, no one really knows why we're so buddy-buddy with Israel. We've simply been conditioned to just accept it. There was a great reason for our relationship in the past, but that's no longer the case.

I know I said I was going to leave, but I have to get this off my chest. Can anyone explain to me the relationship we in the US have with Israel? I mean I can understand why we needed their friendship before we had military bases in Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Afghanistan, but why now? This friendship will only continue to cost us more money and potentially American lives lost in a war with Iran. Explain...

Hamas actually does a lot of good for the people of Gaza, believe it or not, they get the votes because of it. Fatah would be much better for them because they're puppets. They're building new settlements in the West Bank as we type, and what does Fatah do about it? Nothing. That's what. So even though all is peaceful at the moment in the WB, doesn't mean things are "smooth" there. My cousins can't even export their goods out of the WB to make more money. I can't even get my LCD billboard into Ramallah. Smooth, he says.

We can go on all day long with this. Some of you clearly will never see the wrong in what Israel does. On the other hand, I point out the Palestinians' bad decisions on the regular and condemn their actions, as well. Some of you can't/won't do the same for Israel, so it's pointless to continue on with this thread. I've said my piece and I'll leave it at that. My intention from the beginning was to do a quick drive-by and then leave. Have fun with the rest of the thread while dozens of real victims get murdered day by the day. One last thing before I go, for as bad as Hamas is they have had more peace and truce with Israel than war. They do speak with one another. Let's not act as if Israel doesn't know what they're dealing with, because they do. Acknowledge one another's existence and lift any sanctions or blockades so that the Palestinians can live a more fruitful life, economically. If that happens, Hamas' cause will be weakened and less people will be inclined to join.

Hamas is trying to get the blockade lifted. I don't agree with their methods in doing so, but don't pretend to act like there's no reason for their attacks on Israel. See post #67

Hamas are scum. Not cowards. They're more stupid than cowardice. But to call them cowards going against an "elite" military? That's a stretch. Defense is the word you're using. Not offense. Israel is CLEARLY on the offensive, here. Israel ARE cowards. The proof is in the pudding.
