how is Rochester? Im considering moving there from NE
Draconator replied to Pete's topic in Off the Wall
Pete, as much as I love the Western New York area, Simon is not wrong. I lived in California for 13 years, and there were 13 years where I could golf 12 months of the year, work outside without a bulky winter jacket 12 months out of the year, etc. If your job lets you, take Simon's suggestion and head West young man. (You're 56. I'm 58. Respect your elders). -

This one is a montage from the Walnut Creek, CA skatepark. When I first moved in with his mom and him, he was 7 and the only skatepark around was in San Ramon, about 20 minutes away. There was a town board meeting about starting the discussion of a new Walnut Creek skatepark. Clint at 9 yrs old got up in front of the town board, and said Walnut Creek has a lot of money. They can build a skatepark. 3 years later the skatepark opens. The 2004 Parks and Recreation booklet for Walnut Creek features Clint at 12 yrs old on the cover at the then new skatepark.

So sorry about the breakup. That's rough. When I was a little kid, my parents had close friends who lived in Pittsford, and that was always a really nice area. I would agree with teef and avoid the city. But the surrounding areas can be quite nice. -
Have you ever had to call 911 for anything?
Draconator replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
I called 911 when I was with my ex. She was breaking out in a rash from her work as a gardener, so she went and took a shower. She said she was going out to the car for something. About 20 minutes later, she said she hasn't moved from her computer chair. I got up, and saw she was white as a ghost. I said I was calling 911 much to her objections. We agreed that I would tell 911 not to have the ambulance put on any lights or sirens when they pulled up. The paramedics came in, and they couldn't get a pulse on her. So they rushed her to the ambulance, and you bet the lights and sirens were on when they rushed her to the ER. Turns out she ate some Planters peanuts, and she had an undiagnosed peanut allergy and was in full anaphylactic shock. The doctors told me once she was stable that if we had waited another 10 minutes, she would have died. -

This could be a Southpark episode. It really could.

Sports Radio Announcer Greg Papa Retiring due to Cancer
Draconator replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall
He had many great radio calls for the Raiders when they were in Oakland. When the Raiders announced they were moving to Vegas, he jumped ship and went to call the 49ers games. He's really loved in the Bay Area. KInda like Van Miller and RJ.- 1 reply

Training Camp 8/1 - Return of the Blue and Red
Draconator replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
My wife has to go to Hamburg, and then from Hamburg to East Aurora. Then a friend is coming over and the 3 of us are going out to the Lakeshore for dinner and drinks. All possible routes have her and us going right by the stadium. She's currently on the Skyway sitting in bumper to bumper traffic. Her GPS rerouted her away from Orchard Park. -
I don't think there's any camping near the stadium. Best bet is something like a Hampton Inn in East Aurora or Hamburg. This website lists the campgrounds near Orchard Park, and nothing is "near". https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/regions/new-york/orchard-park

Me too. My main bass is a Hohner B2B Steinberger copy. Also have a Yamaha RBX 4 strings, and a Fender Jazz 5 string. What type of bass(es) do you have?

Can vouch for this. My wife due to her cancer surgery, had her right pectoral muscle flipped into her neck. She swings a club right handed, so her left side is her leading side. She can hit a ball about 150 yards.
