  1. It was the hostess that told us to look for an open bar spot.
  2. BarBill in East Aurora is better than BarBill in Clarence, which is still pretty awesome. The wait in East Aurora can top 90 minutes. That's why I stalk the bar, and when someone gets up to leave, I move right in. The most I've had to wait in East Aurora is 10 minutes using that strategy. One time on a busy summer night, my wife, step daughter and I walked in, a party of 3 left the bar as we walked up. We sat down, total wait time, 2 minutes.
  3. I was always in the camp that Main and Hamlin was better than Bar Bill. Bar Bill is where all the tourists go. Main and Hamlin is where all the locals go. Then in the spring I decided I would go into Bar Bill, and they were just a touch better than Main and Hamlin. The past couple of times I went into Main and Hamlin, I felt their quality slipped a notch or two. Bar Bill has always been consistent. Either way, you can't go wrong.
  4. I live less than 5 minutes from Bar Bill, Main and Hamlin, and Prohibition 2000. I'm good.
  5. Been working out with Dalton
  6. He will wear hats designed by Oshei patients during games, and those hats will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Patricia Allen Fund. From Buffalo Business First: (Paywall): https://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/news/2025/07/16/josh-allen-equity-stake-new-era-cap.html?utm_source=st&utm_medium=en&utm_campaign=BN&utm_content=BU&ana=e_BU_BN&j=40711244&senddate=2025-07-16 New Era Cap has expanded its partnership with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, giving him an investment stake in the company. The Buffalo-based international sports and lifestyle brand announced that Allen is the first ambassador to get an investment stake and the first to hold the title of "director of Billustration." The quarterback authenticated the new role by creating his first professional LinkedIn page. Terms of the equity stake were not disclosed. Allen has been a New Era ambassador since his rookie debut campaign in 2018. In his new role, Allen — the 2024 National Football League Most Valuable Player — designed an exclusive 9FORTY Billustration Team Cap, which features a hand-drawn Bills logo inspired by one Allen created. The design is being sold on New Era’s website. New Era has announced several big-name partnerships over the last few years, such as a new partnership earlier this year with Major League Soccer and a multi-year agreement revealed last year with the National Hockey League. The Buffalo company also last year announced an agreement to acquire ’47, a sports lifestyle brand, in a move that was expected to generate about $2 billion in annual revenue. As part of the Allen deal, the quarterback will wear nine Billustration team caps, each customized by Oishei Children’s Hospital hospital’s patients, during his tunnel walk at each Bills home game. The caps will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the Patricia Allen Fund, which benefits the hospital’s critical care teams. “The long-term partnership we have built over the years is personal,” Josh Allen said in a news release. “New Era has believed in me since I was a rookie, and I believe in the brand and where we are going. In my new role as director of Billustration, I want to create something that connects football, fashion and the amazing kids who inspire me every day.”

  9. I lived in the Bay area from 2000 through 2013. I remember passing the 49ers team busses on the 101 on game days. The players would drive to Santa Clara, then be bussed to Candlestick, and then bussed back to Santa Clara after the games.
