He won't make this roster, but it will be a good chance for him to make an impression for another team.

Peter King's Postcard from Bills Camp
Pitta replied to /dev/null's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe he's just speaking for fantasy football players... Fantasy football players that draft players w/o regard for the OL they play with anyway... Ok let me try this again. Maybe PK is just speaking for bad fantasy football players. -
Get the sh-- out of your ears. A BLACK HEAD COACH will protect and deflect better, the angry animal lover media blitz that's sure to ensue. Thus helping Vick prepare for reading defenses. That's it. Now stop your baiting.

The signing of Levitre and Wood
Pitta replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After hearing these jokes endlessly since the draft, I don't really find them funny any more. -
NFLN who do you take - Ocho, Plaxico or T.O.

I've never viewed Evans as an elite receiver. I always felt like he was kind of a one-trick pony, being a dangerous vertical threat. Most of his big plays that I've seen are where the QB just chucks it up and Lee outruns the defender for a long touchdown, which is good, but I've never looked at him as a great receiver over the middle, a guy that can take and/or deliver the big hit, a good blocker, or an elite routerunner. He's fast as hell and has good hands, buthe's on the smallish side and doesn't catch many balls in traffic. -
This is one of DickieJ's legacies. His players aren't disciplined, so they're NEVER in shape. TO is, of course, an exception. SO is Lee. Donte. Couple others. But DJ's teams have always been hurt a lot as long as he's been here.

With the Patriots it dont matter where they put him if they had him. They could him in as CB and he be on the way to the pro bowl. It's the system not really the players. Ask the 3rd string cornerbacks and Troy Brown when they made the Bills passing game look retarded that one year.....

Seriously? Players signing while hurt, players hurt while practicing...players showing up hurt. WTF...we're done for before the season even starts.

Someone who can take the heat off Vick. He's going to need it. I said Black because I feel Vick would follow a black head coach over white one. It's my feeling on where Vick is mentally right now.

Did you see the reverse we tried last year with him? He got smoked for a huge loss. And he's too small to get off the jam on the line. I wouldn't mind seeing him in the wildcat since he was a high school QB though. He's also no where near as physical or near as good at blocking as Smith. I like scoe, but I wouldn't mind seeing him traded for someone that can play this year.

So It Seems This Team Is Always Needing Something
Pitta replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel good about next year if there is a change in coaching staff and we fill those 3 holes by blue chip FAs next year. Of course, that assumes that when we are 5-11 this year, it is not because Edwards fell flat on his face. If we need to change QB again, that will delay us further. -

the past couple of years we had the desire. We had the want but not the savvy to pull out close games. Last year we started off showing what he could do. Then JP showed up. lost all the steam we had built. This year we got the weapons, the confidence, the swagger, the gameplan and the HOTSEAT and rolled up in one season. -
I know, earlier in the offseason, i really thought we were going to sign Cato June or the guy from Jacksonville. Derrick Brooks is still available, we should at least talk to him. As far as backup QB, no matter who, your backup is, if you need him to play, you're in a bad situation. They signed Fitzpatrick so there would be no more controversy for the starting QB position

Somebody let the guys at OBD know that we need more linebackers and a back up qb. We are more than covered at the WR position. Thanks.

My exact same feelings. No amount of T.O.'s and Lee Evanses will make up for a sh------- line. Lets all pray the experiment works http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/arti...lines-dont-gel "We know Terrell Owens can catch it. But will Trent Edwards have time to throw it? Signing Owens was a huge offseason move for the Buffalo Bills, but the team's biggest offseason gamble might have been trading Pro Bowl left tackle Jason Peters to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Bills' revamped line will be a major question mark when their training camp opens July 24 in Pittsford, N.Y. Buffalo will have a new starter at all five offensive line positions. Can a team making such a major facelift really expect to make the playoffs? Here is how the Bills' offensive line looks at the moment. Langston Walker will move from right tackle to left tackle to replace Peters. Rookie first-round pick Eric Wood has the inside track to start at left guard. Geoff Hangartner, a free-agent pickup from the Panthers, is slated to start at center. Another rookie, Andy Levitre, a second-round pick, is the projected starter at right guard. Brad Butler will move from right guard to right tackle" ...... more

The sole reason the Patriots did not win the superbowl in 2006. Guy is garbage, and the only time he was ever productive in the NFL was when he had Brady.

Welker and Chrebet go/went over the middle all the time and had nice long careers. It is dependent on your QB giving you decent throws and knowing when to go down. Now, if Parrish is UNWILLING to go across the middle for fear of getting lit up, that's another story. He doesn't have pure deep ball skills like a Santana Moss or even Devin Hester, so he's going to have to make his living in the slot and on trick plays like end-arounds, bubble screens, etc. I am not saying the guy will become a 80-100 catch receiver all of a sudden, but I think he can be a very valuable player to some team, grabbing 45-60 passes out of the slot with good YAC and great return man skills.

With this offensive line I think its a risky option, they must think they will be fine in their protection schemes,me I am not sold on that.

Just saw this video on Foxsports from Adam Schein. He's saying TO has already become a leader in the locker room. Doesn't surprise me one bit that he is the 1st to arrive and the last to leave. Dude is a hard worker and loves the gm. He will leave every drop of his blood and sweat on the turf. His work ethic has never been questioned by anyone with any intelligence. But I love the way Schein says that he is pulling aside the young WRs and telling them what's what and how he is going over the plays and working well with #5. Can't wait for the '09 season to start! Getch'ya popcorn ready! http://msn.foxsports.com/video?vid=4..._videocentralf

Are you implying that we start Favre for a year and stunt Trent's growth as our franchise quarterback? Or were you joking?
