Watch a proven franchise sign this guy and he delivers when needed.

I hate when people say that. he had one good year. Thats bull. The stats only said that based on sacks and tackles ect. he still was a very very good DE throughout his college career. Lets face it if he ONLY had 1 good year, do we really think he would of been #11 overall. Basically thats what some of the "analysts" say. So basically they say you only need ONE year of great production and your first round material. Thats how stupid they sound. And how can they say things like that right now. Kid hasn't even played in full pads yet. Hes not even in TC. Wait until then, then you make a judgement. -
Its already been posted that some reporters were not impressed with Rian Fitzpatrick's skills at mini camp and the OTA's ...... well add our very own Vic Carucci to the list. "The Bills desperately need to upgrade their quarterback depth. It was actually painful to watch Ryan Fitzpatrick, the free agent they signed from the Cincinnati Bengals to fill the No. 2 role, throw passes during practice. His throws often lacked zip and accuracy. On multiple occasions, he would fire the ball at the feet of his receivers, or throw wobbly passes that were uncatchable. Gibran Hamdan, an incumbent backup, didn't do a whole lot better." http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8118054b Who's still out there that's worthy??? I happen to believe Carucci is pretty darn good so if he says it then we in trouble if Trent goes down. We need to address this ASAP. And please no Mike Vick. I'd rather have any of the posters play before Vick

I bet Vick goes to the Pats These are the kinds of moves they have made in the past and worked out well for them. He will be a perfect citizen just like Moss and love it there. The Pats want to win at all costs. I see this as a perfect move for them. Imagine Vick coming in on 2nd and 1 etc. It could be deadly.

All Bills players combined- 997 receptions

You took by far Lee Evans' best season and put it up against an average T.O year and in the most important category (TDs) Lee isn't even close. I don't understand all the hatred for T.O, he's the best receiver we've had since Reed. And BTW, not that I know him personally, but when I met Reed last year, he was one of the cockiest people I've ever met and refused to give me an autograph. -
what I can't count on Ellison doing

Stroud, Rhodes, Owens, Mitchell?

Just a reminder. July 28th is not the day to panic over a football season. When Aaron Schobel joined the Bills in 2001 as a 2nd round draft pick, he flat out said he felt like he "didn't belong in the NFL" after practicing with NFL caliber players. On the other hand, there are guys like Kwame Cavil - practice squad champions - who have awe inspiring performances without pads; yet he's a free agent in the CFL now. Let it play out. Panic later.

Asking Chris Brown about the Bills is like asking Burger King to critique the Whopper. Trust him to tell you it's a burger but not about how it might compare to another burger. No offense to Nic Harris who may be a fine future player, but Chris Brown is Burger Kings fry guy. Er, anyway...

Yea I question his size and strength wayyyyy before his heart and 1st step -
When stated as fact, no opinion is proper: That's not an opinion. The only reason I told him to keep his "opinion" to himself is because he stated it as if it were a known fact that Vick hasn't changed. I'm all for opinions, I just expect some intelligent discussion when I refute them and not a semantics battle. And I just don't share the same sentiment. "People don't change" is such a widely accepted philosophy these days. But in my opinion it's a miserable fool's way to look at life.

If the Bills sign Vick, I guarantee he would get a loud cheer on opening day and a lot of attention a la TO at training camp
-
It may not matter really. Unless our O-Line comes right out of the gate dominating the line it may not matter who is #1. We may end up clicking a few games in, when Lynch is scheduled to return.

Interesting..I'm watching Sportscenter right now and Mortensen seems to think Vick would be a perfect fit backing up Roethlisberger in Pittsburgh. Herm Edwards sees the Saints picking him up. Those are two teams that didn't come across to me as likely participants in the Vick sweepstakes.

What is the obsession with "SKOOBY"? I haven't been posting here long, but if he's as much of a pain in the ass as everyone makes him out to be, why not just ignore the bastard? I feel like 50% of the threads on this board turn into SKOOBY bashing threads or SKOOBY roasts.

In one of Jadakiss's (most of you probably don't know him) new songs called "What if", one of the lines is..."what if Peyton was fighting dogs instead of Mike Vick".....seriously, think about that. The guy is getting too much for this crime. It was heinous, but it was not against humanity. It was dogs. Look at RayRay living it up in Bmore after he was involved in covering up a murder. That punk in Cincy (forget his name right now) beat up some 15 year olds...There are COUNTLESS other crimes in this league that don't get the press. Vick was hugely popular, black, and killing dogs is something people sympathize with. He was made an example out of...but he deserves a chance back thats for damn sure. While I don't mean to make light of Vick's actions...they were only animals. I LOVE dogs more than anyone...have a dog myself..but you gotta realize. They are only making such a huge deal about this because dogs are "man's best friend". Had he done this to say chickens or other fighting animals...there wouldnt be nearly as much outrage. Dogs are an emotional softspot for people and its unfortunate in Vicks case because hes gonna be looked down upon forever even after serving his punishment to society.

I know, the comparison is inevitable. He's a little strange in that he can run sideways and backwards as fast as he can forward. I'll be interested to see how he holds up at the point of attack. I am just excited that we have a threat to Ellison. Biggest fear was to go into camp and have no one challenged him for the job.

I hope Trent slaps Florence in the head, then has Langston Walker sit on his face. That was like a vote of NO CONFIDENCE in Trent's abilities, and whether or not you believe in Trent, we do NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT need another QB controversy. Besides, Vick is an average QB at best and an average thug, too.

It's the first week of training camp! He gets to play in the pre-season games as well. Let's remember its also still JULY. Kirk Chambers is getting first team reps as well for God's sake. Fred Jackson is not an unknown rookie.
-
"...given among other thing the team's decision to pursue receiver Terrell Owens at a time when a grand total of, um, zero other teams were interested" Perfect.
-
The Urlacher comparison is a bit premature, but I'm pulling for him. He's got good size already, a chance to get a little bigger, he's got decent coverage skills and can lay a hit.
-
since its under appeal there is technically the chance it gets reversed. thus i would say yes, for now keep him with the first team clearly the time will come when that technicality disappears. thats the time to demote him, and there will be plenty of time after that to get Action first team, well, action

I woulda took Pettigrew. Now we got a project TE who we Hope to play in 3 yrs. and a DE who we Hope can use his 'first step. Plus beat out Ellis who was 'on the light side' last year. -
A. possibly more is known inside the team than publicly about the status of Lynch's appeal. B. He's still the No.1 RB on the depth chart. c. Dicks gone mad. again.

That post was in response to someone's opinions of whether or not Vick has changed. Since no one here knows Vick, they cannot have a valid opinion on whether or not he feels remorse or has in fact changed.
