  1. Way to go Buffalo! So proud of this team, they deserve the W's.
  2. I've been to six Bills games in my life and we lost everyone of them. 1 in Tampa Bay, 80's, 1 in Atlanta 2001 lost on a 52 yard last minute FG, 1 when Rich stadium first opened- with OJ playing when I was quite young, and then 3 more there. Thinking of flying up for this one to see a win!
  3. Here comes Allen and the Bills on a great drive! Time for some optimism!
  4. I'm not an expert - like some here ?- on quarterbacks and coaches, but I do know that having new ones every two or three years has not worked out very well for us. I'm glad we got Josh Allen, and think with some additional bolstering of talent in the off season we'll improve even more next year. I think some people get totally bent out of shape after losses because (gasp) we might miss the playoffs... We're not ready to go deep in the playoffs this year anyway, so it really doesn't matter all that much. I'm in it for the long haul and am pretty optimistic on where we're headed. Go Bills!
  5. No doubt he's been overthrowing them. But as others have mentioned I think he's had it drilled into his head that we need to be a ball control type of offense with very few turnovers. So he's probably overly concerned with not throwing the ball deep enough which could give the defender a chance to pick it off. We have a catch-22 situation. The only way Josh is going to get comfortable and accurate on deep throws is throwing a lot of them in game situations i.e. - working on the long ball. But in the short term that would mean a likelihood of a lot of stalled drives and/or increased potential for interceptions - if he starts throwing them close to the receiver. While we are in the playoff hunt (despite the fact that if we make it we aren't going anywhere) fans will crucify him for any of that if it costs us wins. I think the bottom line is for now he should have no more than one deep throw per game unless/until we are eliminated from the playoffs. If we are, we should take the shackles off and release the Kracken. If he gets a lot of opportunities to throw deep without the "don't cost us the playoffs" pressure, and still doesn't improve, well then we know what we have. And frankly, I'm pretty happy with him without the deep ball, if it comes to that.
  6. I can appreciate that perspective, because I think his arm strength was largely what got him here. BUT - he's been wildly inaccurate there so far. So I think it is best to not have him heave it more than once per game - for now, at least until/unless we are eliminated from the playoffs. Thereafter - bombs away. But for now you just can't give up 3 drives in a game hoping he'll start getting it right. There is too much on the line right now.
  7. It's obvious he's had a problem with the long balls. Most often he overthrows, seem like he feels he has to really heave it - but his arm is so strong he overthrows. Frankly, I don't know if that ever gets better BUT, given that's the case, and he's hitting pretty good on shorter to intermediate - WHY did we keep calling those drive ending long balls? It frustrated the hell out of me. Any one of those that didn't kill the drive might have ended up in a score. The OC needs to understand his QB's strengths. Despite the cannon arm, the long ball is not one of Allen's. Dabolls refusal to acknowledge that hurt us.
  8. I'll take the nailbiters, as long as they're wins!
  9. they're not going to try a FG, to little time left...
  10. It would be appropriate if they won they game for us
  11. Josh's deep throws are almost always overthrown. We keep trying them, but often they are stalling drives. I think the Bills want to prove he can hit the deep throws, but it's just not working, and it's costing us.
  12. We NEED to win, to make sure nothing takes away from the beauty of that stand!
  13. Best goal line stand - ever
  14. Always remember "on any given Sunday". Right now the Chargers are flat out manhandling the high and mighty Packers. Take nothing for granted and go one week at a time.
  15. Well, not so fast. If we win 10 or 11 games it's hard to say the strategy didn't work. I admit it's not pretty to watch.
  16. Wow a pass over ten yards on 1st down. Yeah!
  17. Playing not to lose on offense sucks, UNLESS you have a monster ground attack. We're not there yet.
  18. He's thrown deep balls, but I can't recall the last completion on one...
  19. We have yet to have a dominant performance all year. Same happening again. Hoping our screwups don't cost us...
  20. Exactly. In 1983 the Bills started 5-2, but ended up 8-8 and missed the playoffs. So eerily similar it just makes sense it will happen again this year.
